Do you like water?

Do you like being on the water?

Do you like swimming?

Do you like being under the water?

Well, I am at the moment by one of the most famous

waterways that exists in Europe.

This is the River Seine, and I'm standing right next to it.

Lots of people like to come down here

and spend a few romantic moments looking at the river.

The river Seine, as they call it.

And it is a very long river.

It winds its way through Paris.

a lot of people like to come here.

a lot of people like to go on boats.

You might see from time to time lots of boats

going by on the River Seine.

And that's one of the reasons

why many people like to sit and enjoy

the beautiful view.

Like today, for example,

because the weather is fantastic.

There is a lovely expression in English.

If something

has happened in your life, maybe a disagreement

you have had with someone else, you might say,

Well, let's just forget about those disagreements.

'it's all water under the bridge'.

When we say that something is water under the bridge,

we are saying that something will be forgotten.

Let's forget all about our differences

and our arguments.

Over the years, it's all water under the bridge.

It doesn't matter anymore what we said

and what happened.

Let's forget all about it.

You might just be able to see behind me

If I'm very careful.

You might just be able to see the top of

Notre-Dame Cathedral just behind me.

Maybe you can't see it.

And of course, if I turn around,

you will be able to see a very famous landmark

in the very far distance.

And there it is.

Yes, there it is.

Can you see it?

The Eiffel Tower is in the distance.

There are also some lovely

little ducks behind me as well.

If something has been forgotten

between two people

who have had an argument or a disagreement,

we can say that it is all water under the bridge.
