a little adventurous with artificial intelligence.

And I put in to my computer

and I said, watch one of our live streams.

So I got the computer to watch one of our live streams.

And then I asked the AI

to come up with an image of you.

And I, the the image that we probably should have

if we want people to watch us.

So if you look at the thumbnail, it's very good.

Artificial intelligence has actually decided what we should look like.

I don't think you've seen it yet.

People have said that there's something wrong with that.

I saw somebody say that ice cream is a bit unstable.

I think people can hear the people can hear us, but they can't see us very well.

So I would imagine that the signal isn't very good.

I have complete,

in the streaming capabilities of my phone today.

But as I'm sure we are outside, it's very windy

and it looks as if we might be getting some heavy

but sadly, those days are long gone.

When I was in my early twenties and it still hasn't grown back

despite me applying all sorts of ointments and creams so to my scalp.

But to be honest with you, what happens now if you are a young person watching at the moment

and you are worried about losing your hair, can I just say don't worry about it?

If it happens, it happens and there's nothing you can do about it.

But it doesn't mean that your life is over.

It doesn't mean everything comes to an end.

We are here, Mr.

Steve and myself, We are both here to give you some confidence and to reassure you

that even though you are losing your hair,

it doesn't mean that life is over at all about it.

It was over for me for a few years and then I got over it.

Wear a wig or you can go to

you can go to countries that are very cheaply.

Like, uh, I'm trying to think of a country that does hair transplants very cheaply.

Uh, turkey, for example,

is a place apparently you can go and get a very cheap hair transplant.

If you have £2,000 to spare in your bank account

and you are losing your hair, you can get a hair transplant.

Oh, not that we're going to do that. Sounds very painful.

I'm past the point, but I can now, Mr. Duncan,

you know, I this

what's the point now of people would laugh at me I think, if I had hair.

Now this is what I mean. You see, it doesn't matter.

Eventually you you come to terms with the situation.

So life is always going to throw something at you, something.

It might be any sort of problem and hair loss.

As you get older, you will realise it is not such a big thing.

Anyway, that's a strange subject for us to talk about.

So even artificial intelligence

doesn't mind, doesn't care if a person has no hair. So.

So that's the reason why.

And it makes us both look very hunky.

That's why I've been so busy in the garden, cutting back things, chopping, hacking,

We were just talking about artificial intelligence and the fact that it doesn't matter if you're bald.

So this isn't a bearskin,

but the people that guard the palace,

the royal Guards, they wear hats that look very similar to this.

And they have those little in the side.

They have those little things.

If you turn it around, you can it'll look even more.

They tend to have those little colours.

Then they in the bottom edge of the Baskins For some reason we don't know why.

We never did hear any commentators tell us why.

It must be some kind of rank.

I think it relates to their position or yes, or whereabouts they come from or something like that.

Oh, by the way, a lot of people excited this week.

Okay. Yeah.

By the way, I saw something terrible the other day.

A lot of people talking about dogs at the moment here in the UK because there are certain breeds,

certain types of dog that have been named as dangerous.

But to be honest with you, I think every dog is dangerous in some way.

It could it could bite your baby on the head.

It could chase your grandmother around the garden and give her a heart attack.

It could be anything, really.

So all dogs are dangerous, but on the weekend.

No, actually, I tell you, when it was Steve, it was when I did my live stream on Wednesday last Wednesday.

And on the way back home, I saw some people, they were letting their dog

loose off its lead

and the dog chased a squirrel and caught it and highlighted its mouth

and it was shaking it around.

And then the owners eventually went over and got the dog drop.

The squirrel.

But by then the squirrel was not in a very good state

and the owner, the male owner,

decided to crush

the squirrel's skull with his foot to help it.

And then they carried on walking as if nothing had happened.

So that to me is the sort of dog owner

that should not have a dog, to be honest.

Not only was the dog not on a lead,

but he very casually decided to crush

the skull of of a squirrel as well.

So what what a charming person.

And that was right here in much Wenlock

murder of a squirrel. Mr.

Duncan, I'm sure that that person would go down.

Well, technically, the dog did it.

Yes, but I expect the owner was thinking, Well,

I need to finish this little, little creature off, otherwise it will suffer.

Yeah, but it wouldn't have needed that had the dog been on a lead.

So this is once again, stupid dog owners.

You can't really blame the dogs because they're just dumb animals.

But the people walking the dogs, they should have more.

They should have more idea of how to look after their dogs.

So I do blame the owners not necessarily the dogs.

So that say really?

But I was quite shaken.

I have to say I was a little upset

by the time I got home and it really spoilt my day.

Well, that's not very nice, Mr.

Duncan.

Yes, there has been a lot of stories this week in the press about,

well, one person this, this

man in his forties was killed this week in the UK by a

by a dog that a particularly dangerous breed of dog.

It's a type of American bulldog called an x L bully,

but it's a special breed and it's bred

especially to fight of the dogs and to kill other dogs.

Not a very good dog to have to be honest.

Apparently in India, lots of people get killed by dogs every year because there's lots of

if you anybody living in India watching, apparently

we've been told here in the UK that there's a lot of dogs,

sort of feral dogs loose, don't necessarily have any owners and lots of

people are getting killed by them being attacked by them every year.

And of course, they could carry rabies as well.

We don't have rabies here, but many countries do.

So you've got to be very careful when you're being bitten by any animal

dogs, cats, in fact, practically any country. Yes.

Outside the attack.

The other is the UK, the only country that doesn't have rabies?

I don't know. Probably. I think it probably is.

I think every other country in the world

there is rabies being carried by animals in the wild.

I do remember in the 1970s and the early 1980s,

everyone was scared of dogs that might have rabies.

It's a horrible illness, by the way, because you

you just go completely mad, you foam at the mouth,

and then you become a French native water.

In fact, the other name for rabies is hydrophobia.

That's.

It's horrible. It's. It's fatal in all cases.

I think there's one or two people that have that have been shown

to have actually recovered from it, but they were

didn't recover fully at all.

Don't get rabies, don't get it, you know, definitely die for it's

100% fatality rate.

So, yeah, you're not going to get that.

And but we don't have it here in the UK,

so please don't bring any rabies animals over to the UK

because we've got quite strict quarantine rules I think in the UK.

So it stops rabies coming in through the country.

I think some of the

I think some of the dogs might be coming over in little rubber dinghies across the English Channel.

So we do have to be careful.

Yes, but you have to every other country.

So this is the trouble when when Brits, British people

go abroad on holiday because we had this particular

relationship with

domestic animals, dogs and cats.

A lot of British people are well, they're well known for owning dogs

and cats and sort of having them as members of the family.

But that is not the case in a lot of countries.

So if you if we often go abroad on holiday, see a dog in the street

and you know who will do well, even if the dog

bites, you've got rabies and poor old you.

So we've got to be careful.

We've got to be careful when we go abroad as Brits, because

any wild animal you see could potentially be carrying rabies.

It could.

And it's a funny thing to think probably wherever you live,

if, say, you're living in India or somewhere like that, you wouldn't

just go up to a dog and stroke it proper because you'd be worried it could have rabies.

But you don't have to worry in the UK.

Okay, I think we've covered that one.

Yeah, well, lots of lots of British people have gone on holiday

and been bitten by Wild Babar by just dogs.

They get sort of

in cafes and

things and they've ended up getting rabies dogs in cafes.

What are they working there?

Oh well, they are.

They're carrying the meals around on their back.

Well they're wild dogs. They're not owned by anybody.

And they're just, of course, hanging around the restaurant in the cafes for free food.

That's what I think is old dogs a dangerous thing.

And especially this is the thing when owners of dogs say,

but my dog would never do anything like that.

My answer to that is you don't know you

that you say you don't know that they won't do that because it's always

the dog that never does that.

That suddenly does it.

Because that's the reason why people become so confident with their dogs,

because they think they can take it anywhere and then suddenly something upsets the dog

and it goes mad and starts biting people.

So there is no such thing as a dog that is not dangerous.

They can all do something to harm

another person or another creature.

As I found out, the other day,

Obviously the bigger the dog, the the bigger

the potential for it to cause serious harm to you.

So if someone's carrying a, you know, walk in a poodle, they've all got teeth.

Someone's got a poodle.

You probably, you know, you might get a bite on the ankle,

but you're not going to die from being attacked by a poodle.

But if someone's got an Alsatian or a one of these Excel bully dogs,

then obviously the potential of a serious injury is is magnified.

I but lots of babies lots of children get killed every year.

Yeah, well it's something now in the live chat let's have a look at the live chat Palmira.

Recently my son experienced a bite from a dog.

It was a poodle.

He was walking quietly on the street and suddenly the dog from the other side of the street,

it ripped his trousers and also injured his knee.

The owner was shocked as well.

So that just proves what I've just said.

There is no such thing as a safe dog.

Every dog has the potential

because they are all related to the same type of animal, which was an animal

that was ferocious and would

well kill come from wolves then?

I think originally, yes. So.

So dogs.

So yeah they can cause you and I mean, I used to go running a lot

and you can run as well.

Now if you're a runner, a regular runner, you know, you have to beware

of people with dogs, uh,

because they will just run after you because they see you as a threat.

So I used to get and I was bitten a couple of times by people's dogs

that suddenly ran after me and hit me on the ankle or something.

So I learnt that you just have to stop running

because people unfortunately don't keep their dogs on the lead in public places when they should do.

But what's interesting, Steve, is that was a long time ago

and now it's even more crazy.

Every other person, for example, where we live,

almost every person that lives around

here has a dog and sometimes it's crazy.

In the afternoon they're all barking and all you can hear for 2 hours is barking.

Dogs stinking, right? Yeah.

So, guys, okay, I think I'm allowed to say that it's not illegal, by the way, to to criticise dogs.

Not yet anyway.

Yeah.

So the moral of the story is, if you're going to have a dog, look after it.

Yes. And.

And don't let it off the leash when you're walking it.

Especially in public places where other people are.

And if your dog decides to have a poo,

you have to pick it up and don't leave

that plastic bag hanging from a tree

because there isn't a poo fairy

that comes down at night and takes it away.

You have to take it home yourself.

So they're

very nice.

So I had to search for my little dog

I mean, it's when they just suddenly run at you for no reason can be very scary.

You know, it's quite a slope and quite steep.

And there's, you know, and suddenly there's paths coming up from the side and you go,

you just going for a walk, just minding your own business.

Not a dog comes charging at you because some idiot owner hasn't got it on the leaves.

That's it. And some of them are quite vicious dogs.

You know, the worst dogs to have are the ones that you've rescued, rescue dogs.

And everyone always says, Oh, my dog, I rescued it.

It's completely insane.

But I now own a completely crazy dog.

And that's that's great.

That's great.

If you want one. But please, please control it,

especially when it

starts barking all the time, every day,

especially in the morning and in the afternoon.

The roll off.

Now you can probably hear them here in the background.

It is it's like an epidemic.

It's like some sort of crazy, crazy mental illness

where everyone has decided to have a dog and then they

they inflict the dog on other people.

And so if you don't have a dog or if you want to have a quiet life like us,

oh, here all day is dogs barking.

Never used to be like that.

Here was always quite quiet.

But there you for tests as if a dog bites

you three times.

It means it is now chewing.

Yes, definitely.

See, that's a good point.

You see, the thing is, dogs need lots of exercise.

They're not designed to sit around in small little gardens.

They need a lot of exercise.

They need to be tight.

They need to be worn out with physical exercise.

And a lot of people get very inappropriate dogs as pets.

Yeah, a common one that people have got in the UK now is the Collie dog

because they saw it on a television programme that was very popular, traditionally British sheepdogs.

Yeah.

So the sheepdog.

So they're supposed to run about 30 miles a day

and of

course, but people have them as pets and just sort of keep them in their gardens

and wonder why they're things freaking out and barking everywhere is because it needs

to be worn out with exercise far more than the human could ever give it.

So it's a totally inappropriate dog as a pet, and it's actually cruel.

I think it's I think it's animal cruelty, to be honest.

To have a dog that's inappropriate like that.

Like a dog, unless you're prepared to give it the.

Yeah. Hours and hours of exercise every day. Hmm.

That's a good point.

And I think it's animal cruelty.

You to actually only have a dog like that as a pet.

So certain breeds certain types of dog

might be seen as as inappropriate

just because they are used to being in an environment

that is open, maybe a farm or open land.

So there is nothing worse than keeping a dog in a small house and not giving it much exercise.

I know we had a neighbour and he's she's moved now,

but she had that this dog, what was it had the longest legs I've ever seen on a dog.

I don't

know what you call it wasn't a pointer, it was something else.

Uh, anyway, I've never seen legs so long in a dog.

It literally would come up to here or here.

I knew it was a tall dog. It was a very tall big dog.

It could.

It could put its front legs on your shoulders. Yes.

You know, if it jumped the six foot fence, it could look over.

And so she was, you know, in a seventies and obviously

incapable of giving that dog the exercise it needs.

So what happens?

It gets frustrated, gets bored, and it starts to bark

because somebody gets a dog, which to them

is something they can show off to when they're in the street or when they go somewhere.

And Yeah.

And so, you know, people often get inappropriate dogs as pets.

Yes, any dog can be a pain if you look after it properly

and train it and make sure it doesn't bark all the time.

You can punish it, give it little slaps or tap

on the nose just to say that that thing is wrong

because everyone has to learn, even us as children,

our parents will give us a little slap to tell us not to do certain

things like picking your nose or setting fire to the kitchen.

My father, I used to chew my nails when I was younger.

I still do.

My father used to put mustard on my fingers.

That's not really.

I didn't really work because I just went to the bathroom and washed it off.

That's not it's not really. There is an either.

Not really.

But he thought it would prevent me from chewing them. It didn't.

I'm talking about good old slaps, and that's

the only language sometimes an animal will understand.

I'm afraid it's because that is how you train all animals, all to be kind horses.

When you see horses trotting around with a rider,

do you think that horse really wants to have that person on their back? No.

They've been forced to have it done over time.

So that's every animal.

If you want to make sure it's well behaved, you have to sometimes treat it

harshly.

A little harsh.

Maybe, maybe make sure you have to be strict.

It's a good word.

Strict, Yes.

supposed to probably work on a farm

or I think springer spaniels are used when people go out hunting.

They are actually retrievers.

Yes. So when people go out, so somebody shoot something

and the dog runs after and gets the bird and brings it back to the owner.

And of course they're supposed to have lots of exercise and we have this springer spaniel

and we didn't really give it very much exercise and it used to bark all the time.

We used to drive the neighbours around the bend.

So am I right in saying that your parents

were actually terrible dog owners?

But looking back now, yes, They shouldn't have ever got a springer spaniel as a pet.

It's a totally inappropriate dog if you're not prepared to give it vast amounts of exercise.

In fact, we used to take it for a walk. Mr.

Duncan, and with a lead, and it used to nearly choke itself.

Looking back now, it was really cruel because it just wanted to run

off into the field and run around.

Of course, you can't do that because you're supposed to keep the dog only.

So we had it on the lead and it used to choke itself, trying to get away

literally virtually choke itself to make this horrible sound as we were walking.

So it was what the dog was doing was what it wanted to do naturally.

It wanted to run off, run around, set a sniff, see what's around.

And we kept it cooped up all day.

It was quite cruel, really. I'm looking back now.

This is this is not putting your your family in a very good light, by the way.

And. Well, we used to have a dog at home called Tess.

Tess, I think that's a great name for a dog,

by the way, and a lovely black Labrador.

And she never, ever barked, ever.

We Labradors are quite good pets, aren't they?

I think of all the domesticated animals, certainly dogs.

I think it is safe to say that Labradors are probably, probably the best.

They're not they're not very demanding. No.

They sort of just sort of quite happy to sit around

lazy, quite lazy dogs.

They like to eat a lot.

They like exercise, but they are not they are not difficult to look after.

And they don't they don't bark.

No. You go.

Our neighbour, he had one and that and that dog never barked either.

So they're quite big dogs but they don't really, from what

I understand, seem to need huge amounts of exercise.

So we loved our little Tess.

She was lovely.

If I had a dog, that's the one I'd have.

Yes, Although I used to say I'd like a dog, but I wouldn't now because I think it's, you know,

I wouldn't be prepared.

They need to run free.

They don't want to be on leave.

You want a dog that's quite happy to be under lead. Mm.

Another thing that is always worth remembering when we talk about

dogs is quite often they are bred to actually

prey on animals.

So there are many dogs over the years that have been bred again and again,

and some of them have been in the past they've been bred

to actually hunt or to catch animals.

That little part of their of their nature is always there.

And sometimes there might be a situation where that particular thing is triggered

and suddenly they they go back to their original form.

You see, that's it. So it's a selfish behaviour there.

Somebody wants a dog because they want company, but of course they don't think about the poor dog.

So they have the company when they come back from work.

The dog's been left on its own all day.

What about the poor dog? Yes.

I mean, dogs really.

They like to exist in packs together.

Yeah.

Dogs don't aren't solitary animals.

They like company.

They like company. Their own kind, probably.

I mean, I would say that most dogs

probably wouldn't with a company of their own kind.

You know, other dogs of the same breed.

Better than better than a human.

I mean, a human obviously will look after the dog.

But if you're leaving it on its own all day,

then it's rather

cruel, because what you do is when you think about it, you just think about this for a minute.

So a female dog has a litter?

Oh, no, it not a litter. It has has has babies.

What do you call what do you call a dog?

Litter. Litter of dogs, is it.

I think it still is little. It's a culture of cats.

So dog might have five or six, I don't know, seven

little dogs, puppies, puppies.

And then

you come along and buy them.

And the poor things are separated from its mother.

So the mother's probably upset about it.

She's just given birth to all these dogs.

She's beside herself.

She's a must be upset.

She's where all my little puppies gone.

And then there's little puppies is separated from its mother.

So I think it's just when you think about it like that, it's a bit cruel.

Yeah.

Just because.

Just to give humans some a little bit of comfort, you know?

You know, the worst ones are homeless people.

Homeless people who sit

in the doorway of a shop and they have a dog with them.

Now, I'm going to be honest with you.

I don't think the dog wants to be there and he doesn't have to be there.

It's just run off so well.

No, because normally it's it's tied to the homeless person with a rope or something like that.

So I've always noticed that that and the reason why they do it, apparently it's to get sympathy

because apparently if you are homeless and you have a dog with you,

then people will worry more about the dog than the human being.

And I wish I was joking about this, but there are people out there

who think that human beings are less important than dogs.

Well, you often see that whenever you see articles about dogs,

you can guarantee that somebody will say,

Oh, I prefer I'd rather have a dog or a dog than I'd rather have a dog than no other humans.

I think Stefan just said that.

Lots of people say that.

Yeah, Stefan just said it on the air.

But I know I'm mocking, really.

But I think it's a bit sad, though.

If you.

If you'd rather have the company of a dog than a human.

But then, I suppose

as you get older, although looking at humanity

at the moment, I can almost see the point is

the other thing is the dog's never going to be never going to cheat on you.

The dog's never going to be nasty

to you, be cruel to you, going to argue with you.

So from that point of view, a dog is, is, is, you know, not challenging.

You don't it's not going to challenge you in that human.

Well, yeah, you're not going to be upset apart from when it dies.

So yes, from that point of view

I can say even then you can just get a new one.

Whether you can just get a new one. Yes.

You don't have to go on dates. You don't.

So that's the other thing.

You can just go to the pet shop or the the place

where they keep the dogs and you can just choose one.

So you have you haven't even got to go on a date or anything like that

when you're trying to get a human being to stay with you.

It's a bit more effort.

Yeah, there's a lot more effort.

More effort and you've got to take them on dates and treat them to nice meals.

But all you have to do is go to the the pound or the the dog home and pick up the dog.

It's quite easy.

But a lot of people, of course, meet

they're sort of wife or girlfriend

or boyfriend by walking a dog.

Because what happens, of course, is you can walk your dog and not the dog

owners like to talk to each other.

And many, many people have met their partners when they have been out walking their dog

because, you know, if you've got a dog, people

that you're a really nice person.

Oh, that that man, he must be you must be such a lovely person.

He's got that lovely dog.

I think I'll marry him if they will care for a dumb animal, maybe action.

Maybe they will care for me as well. That's it.

And of course, you.

I suppose there might be some truth in that.

Perhaps we are horrible people, Mr.

Duncan, because we don't have dogs.

So perhaps we are just really horrible people.

Well, you see, the thing is, I wouldn't want to have a dog unless I could

look after it in the way that it needs to be looked after.

and you might pick it up and give it a little cuddle, but you can give it back to the parent

and then you can walk away and you haven't got to take care of it for the next 18 years.

I wouldn't even want to spend 5 minutes with a baby anyway, I'm just saying generally.

But it's a bit like the same thing you were saying with the dog.

So they could be the worst salesperson, the world, the worst colleague.

Doesn't matter what how bad they are at their job, just bring the pet on with them.

And certainly that will become very popular.

Well, the boss will think, Oh, I can't get rid of that person.

They've got a dog. That's so lovely.

That's why Hitler was so popular.

You see, That's what he did.

He he caught on quite early that if I appeared

to like dogs and fussed them all the time, people would like me.

He, he was crazy about dogs. I'm not joking even.

And of course, as we all know, presidents and people

who are trying to become, you know, in power

often go around,

you know, holding other people's babies and dogs and things like that

because they think it makes them more popular, which of course it does.

It's all psychology.

It works, I suppose, you know, effectively conning people.

Never mind, maybe we could borrow somebody's dog.

So if anyone around here who we are still talking to and that's not many people,

if you have a dog, a cute dog that we can borrow

for a live stream every Sunday, and then we can have it with us on camera

and then everyone will think we are lovely people and the dog will be cute.

And then lots of people will watch avocado.

Oh, yeah, I know lots of people, 70 people have got dogs now and they're out at work.

They employ dog walkers.

Yes, there are people this is a legitimate job

in this country and in many other many other countries do it well.

I wanted to see if other people have this in their country because you're out of work.

Somebody comes around, lets them into the street, lets themselves into your house

and takes your dog for a walk for you, and you pay them to do that.

And I think you can get quite paid quite a lot to do this.

There is a woman actually we see sometimes in much Wenlock

and she walks around this area and she's got about seven

or eight dogs on leads and they're all crazy, crazy, mad,

completely mental dogs.

Well, that's it.

That must be a dog walker.

You do see people and they've got sort of six, eight or ten dogs with them and they're charging,

I don't know, £40 a day or something to take these dogs for a walk.

And but, you know, a tragedy struck

one dog walker in this country last year or earlier this year.

I think it was earlier this year. Mr. Duncan,

this well known dog walker in this part of England

somewhere, was taking all these dogs for a walk and they turned on her and and killed her.

So the dogs that she was actually walking.

Yes. Decide that they would have her for lunch? Yes.

I think she I think they said she probably got too many dogs and they they'd had enough.

And they all just decided to attack her and they killed her in this park.

I don't think so. I don't think that's a good idea.

It did happen.

They all seem lovely. Until they're not.

They centres for dogs, you know, the world's gone crazy.

Apparently some of them are sort of eight stones and some of them weigh as much as a as a person.

And if they get to under your throat

Because that's where they're going for They're going for the throat.

dry biscuit that was shaped like little bones

my mother used to give those to me at the weekend is a treat.

So maybe they have cats and dogs

in their house, and I remember once we went to someone's house,

we went in, and the first thing we noticed was the smell.

And I think that is one of the things if you own a dog,

how do you control the very obvious dog smell

and that it you see that is the other thing as well, because if you have a nice house

and you want to keep your house looking nice,

then sometimes having a dog might be might be a problem.

Well, you have to decide.

I mean, when we had a dog, when we were growing up,

you have to make decisions about what rooms you're going to allow it into.

The problem is we decide, oh, we'll just keep it in the kitchen.

But that is it.

You know, it can hear you in the other rooms and it gets very upset.

Uh, we used to keep it outside in the shed.

Uh, we had a shed, so we to keep it outside there.

But it used to bark all the time because it didn't like being in the shed because it was cold.

Everyone says when they get a dog, this is going to be an outside dog.

But you know what happens there is that one evening where you become weak

and you let the dog into the house and that's it.

You can never go back outside.

It will never go back outside to us.

Yeah, it happens all the time. What about

What I mean by that is I'm taking an example of a friend of mine.

People have seen that we actually had to look after them for a while.

Tarantulas.

So a friend of mine used to keep tarantulas in

He to be honest, he didn't really keep the crickets.

He was they were the food for the spiders.

So that's another thing I don't like to see, to be honest.

I don't like to see birds in cages.

I always feel a little just a little cruel, isn't it?

It's a bit upsetting. It's obviously the dog.

What the the the the bird wants to fly.

That's why that's you know, that's why it's got wings.

So keeping it in a cage just for your own entertainment is a bit cruel and selfish.

And the worst part, sometimes they, they give the bird g

they give it a little mirror to look at, to make it believe that

there's another budgie in the cage, which is terrible.

People have budgies, people keep dogs locked up in their houses all day.

But it's sort of but if you think about it for, for 2

minutes, it is actually cruel. Hmm.

Because that's not the natural habitat for that dog.

That's why we don't have a dog.

because you get all your affectionate attention from your partner.

Although there are similarities, sometimes they make a terrible noise

So maybe if I think sometimes pets are substitutes

for children as well, you often see people who have had children

and the children have grown up and left home and then they get a pet, a dog.

Maybe it's a bit of a substitute for the for the son or daughter that's left home.

So sort of lonely parents maybe.

Or maybe those parents are in a bit of a loveless marriage and they

they don't show each other very much affection.

And so they one of the other things they want,

they want a pet to replace the affection that they get from their partners.

Actually, that's a I wonder if there's a survey worth doing

is seeing

asking questions with couples, how affectionate are they

and is there a relationship is there a relationship between the amount of affection

you get from your partner and whether you've got a pet or not?

So around here there are lots and lots of different animals

that we actually see in the garden, and a lot of them come at night as well.

We can't really go and pet them and hug them and say, No, I don't really want to anyway.

a fox, I just need to go work visiting a zoo.

and we were contemplating visiting a local

safari park, which we have here in the Midlands and near where we live.

that you can sort of drive your car through

some kind of park and there's lions roaming around

and things like that.

So I think we might do that to Mr.

There's a place actually now West Midlands Safari Park is what what Steve is talking about.

And they actually have lodges just like they do in Africa, where you can stay

and you can watch the animals from your bed, which I think is great.

And he went on holiday and came back and they were all dead

because they'd been an electricity cut.

And and the temperature dropped and, uh, he was devastated.

He was in tears, apparently.

I bet the fish were as well.

They were devastated. Yes.

They weren't very happy about the situation.

And we thought maybe, maybe, Maybe.

I'm pet keeping as a hobby. Yes.

And not all breeding dogs is okay.

So it's actually dogs we were talking about.

But then we strayed.

We strayed just like the dogs sometimes do.

Does anybody remember when we

when we were looking after my friend's tarantulas and we had those glass tanks and we

we had the camera on there watching every move, except they didn't move very much.

So they would move sometimes, especially when you

you placed some live crickets there and they would suddenly pounce and

and stick their big giant fangs into the poor little insect revolting.

I know. It's horrible. I hated it.

I know he.

So can you look after these for two weeks?

We had them for about nine months.

In the end, I think seven or eight months. It was a long time.

One of them died.

Yes, one of them died. It was so.

It was so distraught.

And that was cruel because they were just in these little tanks.

Poor thing. Yes.

I, I, we used to think it was I think it was very cruel, but it's cruel.

Any animal that you can find to a certain space, it's cruel.

and and about every rather than just that.
