Live English - Hello from Church Stretton in England

oh hello there and welcome to our spontaneous and unrehearsed and

unplanned live stream it is mr. Duncan here in England I'm hoping that you are

well on this Wednesday afternoon well it it it is a Wednesday afternoon here in

England and we are out walking yes not only myself but also mr. Steve as well

so first of all let's have a look at where we are this is a lovely place and

oh my goodness who's that walking by through the gate who is that going away

from me oh it looks like mr. Steve where Steve where are you going come come this

way come on Steve that's it there he is

hello everybody yes welcome to this spontaneous unplanned livestream with

mr. Duncan and his sidekick mr. Steve and we decided today after a disastrous

day yesterday that we would do what we'd planned to do yesterday today and come

on a nice walk to church Stretton see the lovely scenery go for something

to eat and what we weren't planning to do a live stream but now we've ended up

doing one so here we are now doing a livestream there is something I want to

draw your attention to take a look at mr. Steve's eye

take a very close look at mr. Steve's eye close your eyes Steve there is

something very wrong with Steve's I closed it again look at that Steve has

something wrong with his eye now yesterday it it looked as if it looked

as if I I had punched Steve in the eye but can I just say now that it wasn't me

it would appear that Steve has a little bit of an eye infection at the moment so

but you have been getting some very strange looks haven't you well

particularly yesterday my eye was the size of a golf ball and I went to the

doctor's because it was getting worse and worse it actually started on Sunday

and I went to the doctor and she took one look at it and said oh I don't like

the look of that I'm going to put you on some antibiotics come back tomorrow if

it's not any better well it is better because we're out and about so despite

what some people think because in our neighbourhood people tend to think mr.

Duncan's a bit scary I think wait there what you mean some people no no one

thinks I'm scary okay maybe some people think I'm a bit scary but I don't know

why one of the neighbours thinks that that

you abused me physically in some way I'm sure so we've been avoiding the

neighbours because they will think that mr. Duncan has hit me in the face so we

can't let the neighbours see that mr. Steve has a swollen eye because all of

the neighbours near to where we live might think that I've been beating Steve

up which you definitely have not because it's the other way round I beat you up

don't touch just just for the record just for the record can I just say now

that I don't beat Steve up and Steve does not beat me up ever ever nothing

like that at all so yes it's just a simple eye infection

which I get from time to time I think you know what it was mr. Duncan it was I

was gardening last Wednesday using my hedge trimmer and I didn't have my

protective goggles on and bits of the tree bark and dust got in this eye and I

remember rubbing it and that's why I've got an eye infection so what do you do

mr. Duncan I don't think people need to be horrified by the sight of my infected

eye mr. Steve has a fair infected eye I want to see how close I

can get before it becomes horrific close your eye look at that so there is mr.

there's the good one that's the good eye and there is the the bad eye shall we

have a look at the sheep because there is some lovely sheep over here that have

gone there were some lovely sheep here just but now they've they've disappeared

but the big question is where am i where am i I'm not on camera so let's let's

put me on camera shall we hi everybody its mr. Duncan and here we

are now we are now broadcasting live from a lovely place called Church

Stretton Church Stretton which is about about 40

minutes away from where we live and it's still in Shropshire which is England and

as you can see we are in a very scenic place very beautiful very quiet very

serene a great place to come and unwind oh by the way can I just remind you that

we are on live tonight as well so don't forget we are live on YouTube tonight

from 10:00 p.m. UK time and coming up we have lots of things tonight will be

showing you something that we've never shown before mr. steve has something to

show you and I have something to show you as well so all of that coming later

on but meanwhile back to mr. Steve's infected I

something to eat in a local cafe yeah before we came up this rather steep hill

I had chili con carne with rice and Steve had a rather nice vegetable

lasagna it was nice because last night we had a curry with chicken so today I

wanted to go vegetarian mmm yes we we had a rather interesting curry

last night will tell you more about that tonight on the livestream what's in my

rucksack the place we are in at the moment is called Church Stretton it's

actually in the title of the livestream so if you take a look at the title of

the livestream you will see the name of the place so look Oh what have we got

here Steve later on look at the fat look at the fat on this mr. Duncan is going

delicious-looking rocky-road cake which is biscuit with chocolate

I think toffee and some hard bits like rock inside it oh I want to eat it now

let's have a close look yes this is more attractive than your

your swollen eye I wonder what those pink bits are I think they might be more I

think they're marshmallow that looks amazing I cut I can't wait to

eat that I like the way Steve keeps talking without the microphone being

nearby okay now now Steve right this is called a Chelsea bun a Chelsea bun

why presumably they first made it in a town called Chelsea which is a town in

England I would imagine they did and it's basically rolled up rolled up bread

with their currents inside and it's falling I woke up dusted with icing

sugar there's lots of sugar lots of also lots of fat no oh it's low fat low fat

there's no fat in a Chelsea bun it's just bread rolled in currants or

sultanas and then baked in the oven and it's delicious now is there is there

any cinnamon there might be a small amount of cinnamon cinnamon a spice from

the east yes there is a small amount of spice in a chelsea bun I do

so I get the feeling that Chelsea bun was originally made in a place called

Chelsea that's what I just said mr. Damon I don't know if that's true

someone can look it up do you want me to move yes so I think it Chelsea bun is

probably was first made in China or it could have been a man's name or a

woman's name called Chelsea and they invented this particular piece it's this

particular cake right like is that is that like Chelsea Clinton Chelsea

Clinton you see oh let's go over here let's have a wonder I feel like

wandering into the bushes are you enjoying the conversation yes this is a

bushes or anything could happen now anything so now we are near there was

some lovely sheep here earlier but the only right there right there but the

only thing we have to look at now is some of the sheep poo that's all it's

sure I brought with us a map Ordnance Survey map for this particular

area which is much Wenlock the long wind which is a very big hill that we're

currently climbing up and when lock edge and it's an exhibition kick the bloody

things still and explore a map so look let me open this out and you can see I

can tell you where we are right now yes it's so clear well I can see exactly

where we are I must I must save Steve handles the map very well there's Church

Stretton that's where we are and we're currently walking up here so what do you

think about that mr. Duncan so there's the church Stretton and we are walking

up here so Steve is now showing you where we are so there you go I'm sure

that is no clearer than before Steve got the map out so we can't

possibly get lost because I have the map and I'm going to be look very smug

because I have the map I'm in charge of where we go look Steve there's no way

gonna tell the truth now mr. Duncan you know full well that after the sundered

livestream we were very angry with me and you punch me in the eye and that's

why I've got this and I can't believe I'm still here with you now Steve keeps

changing the story just a few moments ago he said that we we didn't have a

fight and now he's saying that I did punch him in the eye I didn't punch mr.

Steve in the eye now you know Steve that I never leave any marks that's true look

look at the back of this map here this shows us all this particular one map is

to 1/7 see the whole of the UK has been mapped out with every little path

on every Hill everywhere where every square inch of England has been mapped

I'm sure I know that woman I'm sure I recognize that woman I think that woman

I've seen her hanging around in the town centre we saw on the way up here she's

got a dog with her I think this is I think this map is actually live I think

this is a live picture this map this is map number two one seven yes as you said

and there we go that's just some of the all the different maps that you can buy

we're literally every square foot or every square yard has been mapped out

and that there there's two one seven yes we noticed the orange box yes I think

that's amazing that somebody has gone throughout the whole of of the UK walked

every bit of it and constructed a map so that we know exactly where to go

so that we don't get lost did you realise we have satellites yes well

these were these were done before the age of satellites mr. Duncan maybe it

was just a very tall person the only thing we haven't got is a compass we

really need a compass but I don't think we can get lost because we're on a set

route we're on a color-coded route called the red route so all you got to

actually do is follow the marker posts with the red coloring on and you can't

go get lost Mimi's going unfortunately I have to leave it was nice talking to you

it is a beautiful town by the way we've just had something very nice to eat and

look can you see the gate here look at this gate you can see the gate and can

you see on the gate it says In loving memory of Norman and Jill Goodwin and

this is something you will see a lot as you walk around places in the

countryside or near the countryside so there you can see a little plate or

plaque and this is put here in memory of Norman and Jill you will often see these

also on on seats and benches as well in fact there might be one on this bench do

you think Steve may well be one on this bench mr. Duncan let us have a look yes

tribute to someone I don't think we'll go

actually be taking a walk now that's the reason why we've come here because we're
