and we are now live with you out and about.

We did eat too much food yesterday.

It is traditionally, isn't it? Absolutely.

But we're fasting at the  moment, so we've had nothing

since about 10:00 last night.

So. Yeah.

So that's 12, 16 hours  without anything to eat. Mr.

Duncan said we're doing a fast today, although we 

didn't eat a lot of food,  we had a big Christmas meal.

We will show you that next Sunday.

And we are out and about right now.

No wind, which means that  we were walking up the hills 

to get here and Mr.

Duncan was getting overheated.

He had to take his coat off.

I was sweating, beads of sweat. Yeah.

So it's probably warm  throughout Europe, I would say.

Somebody told us on on Sunday that it was very warm in Italy

and I would imagine it's quite warm in France.

Of course, Paris will be warm anyway.

And there has been snow in the UK,

but in Scotland, so not here.

But they have had a lot of snow on Christmas Day, which was yesterday.

About 400 million years  ago, this was under the sea

in a different part of the world,

in a different part of the world where Australia is there.

Isn't that strange, though?

This whole area is a huge coral reef

that has broken free and tipped over.

And if you look around this area you will find lots of small

sea creatures buried in the rock.

And that is how we know that this used 

to be under the sea a many,  many millions of years ago.

Isn't that amazing?

So if we were here 400 million years ago, we would be underwater.

We would be under the sea.

Right now, the sandstone rock is a quarry

around here for for for buildings. Yes.

And it's basically just lots and lots of dead sea creatures.

It's amazing that they've somehow shifted with the tectonic plates. Yes.

So they ended up here.

So part of the sea bed broke free and tipped up.

And that is where we are standing right now on Wenlock Edge.

That is what it is.

It's quite, quite interesting, actually.

Yes, we are not very far away  from our house, actually.

So we're just going out for a walk on Boxing Day because we ate so much food.

We are trying to walk off some of those dreadful calories on the way.

Yes, as I said, we haven't  eaten anything since about 

10:00 last night, which is actually to tell a lie.

I had a yoghurt this morning, a coffee yoghurt,

and but that's all I've had.

So in effect,

I've been. Have you had anything to eat?

I just had a little bit of bread this morning, but I am looking forward to having what Mr.

Steve likes to call his bubble and squeak, which is where we take all the leftovers

and we fry them and then we have some turkey because we we did

we did this here, get a rather  large turkey, didn't we?

The smallest we could find.

But as we discussed on Sunday, it's

very difficult to get a small turkey because, well, one, they are big birds anyway.

Yeah.

And and two, most turkeys

are four sort of big families,  eight, ten or 12 people.

But we managed to get one for six,

but it was still it's still

going to last at least four meals.

which makes sense to four. Six.

Yeah.

And then I'll hopefully boil the bones and make a nice soup as well today.

Yeah.

All the leftover vegetables of which I was due extra anyway.

The potatoes, the brussel sprouts,

sweet potatoes,

carrots.

and dare I say, potatoes

and potatoes will all come out of the fridge.

I will chop them up, put them in a frying pan and fry them and make

what's called bubble and squeak, which is called that because it makes

squeaking and bubbling sounds when you're frying it in the frying pan.

And then we'll have that with the heated up gravy and some turkey,

along with a bit of stuffing that's left over.

I'm not so I might sauce.

I'm not going to lie.

I am a little hungry right now.

I could eat that right now.

Well, we're talking about it, unfortunately, and we've effectively fasted for 12.

What time is it now? 2:00?

No, it's it's about 2:25.

So that's 12, 16 hours really,  without anything to eat.

So if we look a bit pale, that's probably why

and that's the reason why we're walking, because we had too much yesterday.

Mr. Duncan is wearing a  shirt, but isn't it freezing?

No, it isn't.

It is surprisingly mild, Very mild.

And in fact, you had to take your coat off.

I was sweating,

literally. Sweat was pouring off.

Mr. Duncan's head.

And I feel about right.

So there is some wind coming out the back of me.

That's because of the brussel sprouts. I think so.

But yeah, there's no wind here at all.

It is totally still at about 11 degrees

and we have been walking a lot, so we're hot. Yes.

So if you want to enjoy the landscape,

we we'll move aside for a moment and we will let you see the landscape.

So that is the view that  we're enjoying at the moment.

And you can see everything is looking rather nice.

We have the landscape, we have quite a few farmer's fields here.

So all of the fields you can see here are actually farmer's fields.

Sometimes they have crops growing

and in some of the fields  they keep animals, livestock.

There were some sheep over there, but they've they've all been taken in.

And as I mentioned earlier,

there is the most famous landmark around here, the Wrekin Hill.

and that is a large hill

that many people like to climb to the top of their on New Year's Day.

So next week a lot of people  will be going up there

to see the new year arrive of somebody said that it was volcanic,

it was it's an ancient volcano, but I'm not sure whether it is or not.

It actually isn't, isn't it? No, it's not.

It isn't volcanic as I understand it.

It's a it's a part of the landscape

that was above the the ice.

During the ice age.

And there are many parts around here, many places where you can see

some of the very old rock that was not affected by the ice Age.

So the ice, as it formed around the Earth, only came up to a certain height.

So certain things, certain types of rock

were actually above the ice  and they were not affected.

And I think I might be wrong, but I think the wrekin is similar

to that 

as well as we have many  places round here, don't we?

Remember, the last Ice Age  was about 300,000 years ago, 

something like that.

is because it was often the  day that people got paid

for those who were servants or working

They would have to work on Christmas Day.

So they were given their gift or their salary or their wages

the day after Christmas, normally in a box, a small box, a gift was given to them.

Hence Boxing Day.

of course there are

many phrases in English, Steve, that use box.

Then if you are boxed in,

it means you are stuck in a corner.

You can't escape from a situation or a position that you're in.

That's very good.

literally have sword fights to the death, like wrestling in a ring

or jousting dragon wrestling.

They used to do that naked.

Can you imagine anything,  Anything gayer than that,

Watching two greasy men wrestling

and fighting naked, although it was the Romans.

So what do you expect?

Yeah.

So, yeah, 

instead of instead of  actually fighting with swords

and killing each other, now they just sort of hit each other on the head.

Two, they knocked them out.

It's it's, it's a it's a,  it's a it's a little more

grown up, isn't it?

So there's a little bit more sophisticated.

Imagine it's derived from that.

And, you know, we still like to watch people like to watch that.

They like to watch people,
