A lot of people ask about this place.

They say, Mr. Duncan, what is much Wenlock like?

Well, as you can see behind me at the moment, we have the rush hour.

This is the busiest time here in much Wenlock.

There are at least five people

walking around the town square at the moment.

That's how busy it is.

So this is the rush hour. As you can see.

It's so chaotic.

There are so many things going on.

I know it's

Wednesday afternoon, of course, here in much Wenlock.

Many of the shops close early.

It is a tradition dating back to 1973

when all of the shops were closed.

They would pull down their shutters, they would lock their doors

and they would have the afternoon off, which I think is a good idea really,

when you think about it, it's a bit like what I do, except for

I have every day off.

So there you go.

I have to say, I do like spinach.

Sometimes when I have my vegetable smoothies, I often cooked spinach.

Raw spinach into my smoothies because apparently it contains

I have noticed over the past few days we do have a lot of new viewers

This is the place where I live.

It is the beautiful town

of much Wenlock, dare I say.

It's historic.

Oh, lots of things happened here.

Lots of monks used to run around

in the classics all over the place, around this area.

And more recently, the modern Olympic Games

were actually inspired, tired by this actual place.

And every year the original Olympic Games

that occurred here in much Wenlock takes place as well.

So this place was the inspiration for what we now have

or what we now call the modern Olympic Games.

And that is not good.

Getting lots of information today.

By the way, has anyone seen the new iPhone?

Now I am using my iPhone at the moment.

This is my iPhone 13.

It's a very old phone.

It's two years old.

And as you know, in smartphone

years, two years is a very long time.

It's almost a century.

So my phone now is a little bit out of date.

But has anyone has anyone seen the new iPhone

iPhone 15 oh, and the the bigger version,

the posh version is made of titanium.

It's not amazing.

I'm so glad that they've made the iPhone out of titanium.

I don't know why they have properly because it is very light,

so lightweight, so maybe the big iPhones are just too heavy.

Perhaps that might be the reason

Well, I know Chester very well because I have some friends who live near Chester.

to the streets but also to the buildings as well.

So it's all going on here.

As you know, I was in London about four weeks ago

talking about the sites and letting you hear the sounds of the capital.

And I did notice that in London there is also a lot of renovation

work taking place on many of the

famous landmarks as well.

So I think

everywhere at the moment, a lot of people are doing things.

They are working hard.

one of the old telephone boxes.

Sadly,

these telephone boxes are no longer used

because most people have smartphones.

They do they have smartphones.

They don't have to use one of those anymore.

They can just use their smartphone, which is very clever.

Well, that is one of the problems with doing live video streams,

because here in the UK,

the time difference between here and where you are

So for some people it is now

and for some people it is almost tomorrow.

So that is one of the things about doing livestreams.

You sometimes find the time difference can be a problem.

So that is one of the reasons why now in a game, not always.

Sometimes you might miss my live streams because

of the time difference.

A lot of people

riding their bicycles today because the weather is so nice.

That is it.

That house on the left with the wood is iconic.

Do you know the era they were built?

Is there a year of construction on the front?

Well, I think that

that particular building over there, that is the old Guild Hall.

So that is where they used to have all of the meetings

and also the Crown Court used to meet there.

And a lot of the punishment would be

would be given out at the old Guild Hall.

So, yes, the Guild Hall is a famous place.

It is quite iconic.

It is probably 500 years old, maybe older than that,

but it is a very old building

these days.

It is used as the local market.

So inside the the area beneath,

if you look there, you can see there is an area beneath

the Guild Hall and that is now the farmers market.

So during the week

that there will be lots of vegetable

oils and fruit sold there in that place.

But yes, it must be around 500 years old.

That particular building, even though over the years it's had a lot of repair work

because sometimes it would move slightly.

It was always in danger of falling down.

But now it is very safe.

It's probably safer than some of our modern buildings.

I don't know if you've heard, but we are having difficulty at the moment

with some of our modern buildings.

Apparently they were built using certain types of material

that are now starting to deteriorate.

That's a great word.

If something deteriorates, it means it starts

to lose its natural state.

It starts to rot, it starts to fall apart,

it deteriorates.

It's a good word that

it's a super word, you might say.

How many countries have you been to Mr.

Duncan?

I've been to a few countries in my life.

I've been to Malaysia many times.

A beautiful country, very interesting place to visit.

I've also been to France,

I've been to a Netherlands, I've been to.

Where else have I been? Oh, yes,

I've been to Portugal as well.

Beautiful place.

I've also been to China.

In fact, for those who don't know, I used to live in China.

I lived there for many years teaching English,

and that is where I started my YouTube channel

way back in 2006.

So this you are watching now started

in the very early days of YouTube.

YouTube was still new when I started my English teaching

and I was still living

at China at the time, Christina says.

Well, he now lives in Australia and for many years

he's been working as a nurse, a medic in Australia.

So he actually went to to college,

he went to nursing university

or nursing college and he got his diploma

in medicine and now he

works as a nurse.

And yes, men can be nurses.

I think that's all right.

I think men can be nurses.

So that's what happened to Jiang Way.

He is now living a very nice life

in Melbourne, in Australia,

I have to say.

I think Melbourne must be more exciting

and more vibrant

than much.
