the English phrase something's up.

If two or three police cars went by my place

I would probably think something's up down the road.

길 아래에 뭔가 있는 것 같아요.

It means that I think something's going on.

무슨 일이 일어나고 있다고 생각한다는 뜻입니다.

It means that I think something is happening.

무슨 일이 일어나고 있다고 생각한다는 뜻입니다.

It means that I think something's up.

뭔가 이상하다고 생각한다는 뜻입니다.

You can also use this when you're talking about a person.

사람에 대해 말할 때도 사용할 수 있습니다.

Maybe your sister has been behaving strangely lately

아마도 당신의 여동생이 최근에 이상하게 행동했고

and you're talking to your brother.

당신은 당신의 형제와 이야기하고 있을 것입니다 .

You might say, "Hey, I think something's up with our sister.

I think something is happening in her life

Sometimes I see students standing and talking to each other,

The other phrase I wanted to teach you today

is the phrase up to.

up to 라는 표현입니다.

This has a couple meanings.

The one I want to focus on mostly today

is when you think someone is doing something.

누군가가 무언가를 하고 있다고 생각할 때입니다 .

Usually we have the word no good with this as well.

We'll say we think someone is up to no good.

But you can use it just as up to as well.

You can say, "What are you up to tonight?"

and someone could say, "Oh, nothing.

You can say, "I want to know..."

and the person can say, "Oh, I'm really busy this weekend.

So when you use up to,

it simply means what the person is doing

or what they have planned or what they're going to do.

So to review, when you use the phrase something's up,
