Merry Christmas!

So this is not an English lesson.

This is simply me saying Merry Christmas.

It's a couple days late.

Sorry about that, but Merry Christmas to all of you.

I know Christmas isn't celebrated in every country in the

world, but at this time of year, I just wanted

to say Merry Christmas and kind of communicate to you

what I think saying Merry Christmas means.

I think it means that we should

be extra kind to each other.

I think people should be kind all the time.

And a few people were mentioning this

in my live stream last week, that

at Christmas, Bob always says, be kind.

And I'm gonna continue to communicate that.

So when you hear Merry Christmas, if it's something

you do celebrate, or even if it's something you

not... just... something you don't, just think about this.

It's a great time of year to be kind

to each other and to do nice things.

So I hope you had a good Christmas season.

The other phrase, of course, is Happy New Year.

And again, this isn't an English lesson.

This is just me saying Happy New

Year before it's actually New Year.

We actually got a whole week to go

before New Year's will be upon us.

But I will say Happy New Year anyways.

And those again, if you want

this to be an English lesson.

Those are the two phrases that we use

in Canada at this time of year.

We are often saying Happy New Year to

people as December 31st comes to a close.

And then we say Happy New Year at midnight.

I think it starts earlier in most other parts

of the world because of how time works.

The earth does rotate, you know, so

it's a different time in different places.

So Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

So, as you can see, I have a fresh haircut.

I'm looking all energetic and happy, and I'm good.

I'm happy about that because, yeah, the last couple weeks has just

been busy and I was sick, and then we had a kid

who was sick and the rest of us didn't get sick.

So that was good.

Have you ever had that where someone in your

house is sick and then you're just kind of

waiting to see if you get it?

Well, thankfully, Jen and I didn't get it.

Just one of our kids got it.

So maybe it was just a little bit of food poisoning.

Maybe it wasn't actually a sickness.

But anyways, it's good to be

back in full form and healthy.

I can't wait to get started

again on both YouTube channels.

I do love making English lessons for all of you.

If you're wondering why I'm walking so gingerly.

Is that a new word for you?

Gingerly?

Because the driveway is ice.

I actually have my fancy super

slippery walking running shoes on.

I can't get my camera...

So if you're wondering why you're hearing a crunching sound

or why it seems like I'm walking quite slowly, it's

because it's a little bit slippery out here.

And for those of you that have never experienced that,

I don't think I can set my camera up.

It'll probably fall over if I do this. Will it? Yeah.

Let's see if I can get my

camera to just stay in one spot.

This is where I should have brought the tripod.

Maybe it will...

So it's slippery.

You can do this.

You can slide around.

Oh, there goes the camera.

Yes.

I knew it was gonna fall over.

Anyways, just a little bit of fun.
