Defining relative clauses such as these

specify which noun we are talking about.

They use the relative pronouns ‘who’ and ‘which’.

그들은 관계 대명사 'who'와 'which'를 사용합니다.

‘Who’ is for people,

Who는 사람을 위한 것이고

and ‘which’ is for things.

which는 사물을 위한 것입니다.

However,

in this type of relative clause,

both ‘who’ and ‘which’

'who'와 'which'는

can always be replaced by ‘that’.

Just remember, it’s a bit less formal.

‘Whose’ is different because it describes a possession.

Whose'는 소유물을 묘사하기 때문에 다릅니다.

Unlike ‘who’, ‘which’ and ‘that’,

'who', 'which', 'that'과 달리

it cannot be used without being followed by a noun.

명사 없이는 사용할 수 없습니다.

‘Whose’ is a determiner, like ‘my’ or ‘your’.

Despite being a relative pronoun,

We cannot say,
