natural repetition in your English learning

As you know, repetition is so important

when it comes to internalizing grammar and learning

new words and phrases. The more you see a word

listen to a word and use a word, the more

you will be able to remember in the future. However

most English learners don't get enough repetition

in their language learning and I think this is because

most learners find it boring. The good news is

you can get natural repetition in a fun

and interesting way through narrow

reading and listening.But what is narrow reading and listening?

Well, this is when you read things

listen to things, and watch things in English

on a similar topic. For example

if you take diet as a topic this is where you watch a documentary

on a specific diet then you read a book on a diet

listen to a podcast on the diet watch an interview on the diet

and so on and so on. And getting this repetition from a variety

of different contexts is going to help you

to be able to use this grammar and this vocabulary

in the correct way

When using this method it's important to choose a topic

that interests you... this is because having fun

when learning English is so important, but also

if the topic interests you then you're very likely to talk about it

when you are speaking with other English speakers

so give narrow reading and listening

and watching a try and choose a topic
