Practice THIS THAT THESE THOSE | Basic English Grammar Course

Let’s do some practice with ‘this’, ‘that’, ‘these’, and ‘those’. 

'ဤ'၊ 'ထို'၊ 'ဤ'၊ 'ထို' ဖြင့် လေ့ကျင့်ကြည့်ရအောင်။

First, I have this pen.

ပထမဆုံး ငါ့မှာ ဒီဘောပင်ရှိတယ်။

I have to say, “This is a pen.”

“ဒါက ဘောပင်” လို့ ပြောရပါမယ်။

“This is a pen.”

"ဒါက ဘောပင်။"

Okay.

ဟုတ်ပြီ

Over there, “That is a pen.”

ဟိုမှာ “အဲဒါက ဘောပင်”

“That is a pen.”

"အဲဒါက ဘောပင်။"

Now, I have two pens.

အခု ငါ့မှာ ဖောင်တိန်နှစ်ချောင်းရှိတယ်။

“These are pens.”

“ဒါတွေက ဖောင်တိန်တွေပဲ”

“These are pens.”

“ဒါတွေက ဖောင်တိန်တွေပဲ”

Okay, I’m going to move them far away.

ကောင်းပြီ၊ ငါ သူတို့ကို အဝေးကို ရွှေ့လိုက်မယ်။

“Those are pens.”

“အဲဒါတွေက ဖောင်တိန်ပဲ။”

“Those are pens.”

“အဲဒါတွေက ဖောင်တိန်ပဲ။”

Okay, let’s move on to questions.

ကောင်းပြီ၊ မေးခွန်းတွေဆီ ဆက်သွားရအောင်။

I have one pen.

ငါ့မှာ ဘောပင်တစ်ချောင်းရှိတယ်။

“Is this a pen?”

"ဒါက ဘောပင်လား?"

“Yes, it is.”

"အဲဒါဟုတ်ပါတယ်။"

“Is this a cookie?”

"ဒါက ကွတ်ကီးလား?"

“No, it isn’t.”

“မဟုတ်ဘူး၊ မဟုတ်ဘူး”

“Is that a pen?”

"ဒါက ဘောပင်လား?"

“Yes, it is.”

"အဲဒါဟုတ်ပါတယ်။"

“Is that a cookie?”

"ဒါက ကွတ်ကီးလား?"

“No, it isn’t.”

“မဟုတ်ဘူး၊ မဟုတ်ဘူး”

Okay, two pens.

ဘောပင်နှစ်ချောင်း။

“Are these pens?”

"ဒီဘောပင်တွေလား"

“Yes, they are.”

"သူတို့ဟုတ်ပါတယ်။"

“Are these cookies?”

"ဒီကွတ်ကီးတွေလား?"

“No, they aren’t.”

“မဟုတ်ဘူး၊ သူတို့က မဟုတ်ဘူး။”

Okay,  now they’re over here.

အိုကေ၊ အခု သူတို့ ဒီမှာ ရောက်နေပြီ။

“Are those pens?”

"အဲဒီဘောပင်တွေလား"

Yes, they are?”

သူတို့ဟုတ်ပါတယ်?"

“Are those cookies?”

"အဲဒီကွတ်ကီးတွေလား?"

“No, they aren’t.”

“မဟုတ်ဘူး၊ သူတို့က မဟုတ်ဘူး။” ကောင်းပြီ၊ ဒါ

Okay, so that was our practice

'ဒီ'၊ 'အဲဒါ' 'ဒီ' နဲ့ 'အဲဒါတွေ' အတွက်

for ‘this’, ‘that’, ‘these’, and ‘those’.

ငါတို့ လေ့ကျင့်ခဲ့တာ ။
