Let’s do some practice with ‘this’, ‘that’, ‘these’, and ‘those’. 

আসুন 'এই', 'সেটা', 'এইস', এবং 'ওসব' দিয়ে কিছু অনুশীলন করি।

First, I have this pen.

প্রথমত, আমার কাছে এই কলম আছে।

I have to say, “This is a pen.”

আমাকে বলতে হবে, "এটি একটি কলম।"

“This is a pen.”

"এটা একটা কলম."

Okay.

ঠিক আছে.

Over there, “That is a pen.”

সেখানে, "এটি একটি কলম।"

“That is a pen.”

"এটি একটি কলম।"

Now, I have two pens.

এখন, আমার দুটি কলম আছে।

“These are pens.”

"এগুলো কলম।"

“These are pens.”

"এগুলো কলম।"

Okay, I’m going to move them far away.

ঠিক আছে, আমি তাদের অনেক দূরে সরাতে যাচ্ছি।

“Those are pens.”

"এগুলি কলম।"

“Those are pens.”

"এগুলি কলম।"

Okay, let’s move on to questions.

ঠিক আছে, আসুন প্রশ্নগুলিতে এগিয়ে যাই।

I have one pen.

আমার একটা কলম আছে।

“Is this a pen?”

"এটা কি একটা কলম?"

“Yes, it is.”

"হ্যাঁ, এটা।"

“Is this a cookie?”

"এটা কি কুকি?"

“No, it isn’t.”

"না, এটা নয়।"

“Is that a pen?”

"এটা কি কলম?"

“Yes, it is.”

"হ্যাঁ, এটা।"

“Is that a cookie?”

"এটা কি কুকি?"

“No, it isn’t.”

"না, এটা নয়।"

Okay, two pens.

ঠিক আছে, দুটি কলম।

“Are these pens?”

"এগুলো কি কলম?"

“Yes, they are.”

"হ্যা তারা."

“Are these cookies?”

"এগুলো কি কুকিজ?"

“No, they aren’t.”

"না, তারা নয়।"

Okay,  now they’re over here.

ঠিক আছে, এখন তারা এখানে আছে.

“Are those pens?”

"এগুলো কি কলম?"

Yes, they are?”

হ্যা তারা?"

“Are those cookies?”

"এগুলো কি কুকিজ?"

“No, they aren’t.”

"না, তারা নয়।"

Okay, so that was our practice
