Let’s do some practice with ‘this’, ‘that’, ‘these’, and ‘those’. 

'이것', '저것', '이것', '저것'을 연습해 봅시다.

First, I have this pen.

우선 나에겐 이 펜이 있다.

I have to say, “This is a pen.”

“이건 펜이에요.”라고 말해야 해요.

“This is a pen.”

"이것은 펜이다."

Okay.

좋아요.

Over there, “That is a pen.”

저기, "저건 펜이에요."

“That is a pen.”

“그건 펜이에요.”

Now, I have two pens.

이제 나에겐 펜이 두 개 있다.

“These are pens.”

“이것들은 펜이에요.”

“These are pens.”

“이것들은 펜이에요.”

Okay, I’m going to move them far away.

좋아요, 멀리 옮기겠습니다.

“Those are pens.”

“그건 펜이에요.”

“Those are pens.”

“그건 펜이에요.”

Okay, let’s move on to questions.

좋아요, 질문으로 넘어가겠습니다.

I have one pen.

나에겐 펜이 하나 있다.

“Is this a pen?”

"이것은 펜인가요?"

“Yes, it is.”

“예, 그렇습니다.”

“Is this a cookie?”

“이거 쿠키야?”

“No, it isn’t.”

“아니요, 그렇지 않아요.”

“Is that a pen?”

“그거 펜이에요?”

“Yes, it is.”

“예, 그렇습니다.”

“Is that a cookie?”

“그거 쿠키야?”

“No, it isn’t.”

“아니요, 그렇지 않아요.”

Okay, two pens.

좋아요, 펜 두 개요.

“Are these pens?”

“이거 펜이에요?”

“Yes, they are.”

“예, 그렇습니다.”

“Are these cookies?”

“이거 쿠키예요?”

“No, they aren’t.”

“아니요, 그렇지 않아요.”

Okay,  now they’re over here.

좋아요, 이제 그들이 여기 왔어요.

“Are those pens?”

“저거 펜이에요?”

Yes, they are?”

응, 그렇지?”

“Are those cookies?”

“그거 쿠키예요?”

“No, they aren’t.”

“아니요, 그렇지 않아요.”
