Next is small talk about current events.  And if you remember from earlier, a

current event is something happening now. So,  something in the news. For example, some event  

현재 이벤트는 지금 일어나고 있는 일입니다. 그래서 뉴스에 나온 게 있어요. 예를 들어,

that we hear about in our local area, or in  our country, or in the world. Right anywhere,  

우리가 사는 지역, 우리 나라, 또는 전 세계에서 듣게 되는 어떤 사건이 있습니다. 바로 어디서나

so I might ask someone, “did you hear about  blank?” Let's say in my town there was a fire,  

누군가에게 "blank에 대해 들었나요 ?"라고 물어볼 수 있습니다. 우리 마을에 불이 났다고 가정해 봅시다.

the, a restaurant caught on fire. “Did you  hear about the fire at the Chile’s restaurant?”  

식당에 불이 났습니다. " 칠레 레스토랑 화재 소식 들었어?"

“Did you hear about that?” So, we can ask, “did  you hear about…” and then someone might answer,  

"그 얘기 들었어?" 그래서 우리는 " ...에 대해 들었나요?"라고 물을 수 있고 누군가가

“yes,” and we talk about it. Or they might answer,  

"예"라고 대답하고 그것에 대해 이야기할 수 있습니다. 또는

“no,” and we tell them about it. Right, “oh you  didn't hear about it?” “Oh, let me tell you.”  

'아니요'라고 대답하면 우리가 알려줍니다. 맞습니다. "아, 못 들었어?" "아, 말씀드리죠."

“So did you hear about this current event? Did  you hear about the flooding in Germany?” Right,

another current event, “did you hear about  the building that collapsed in Miami?” Right,  

또 다른 시사, " 마이애미에서 건물이 무너졌다는 소식 들었어?" 맞아요,

things in the news that maybe when they're just  happening, we might ask, “did you hear about it?” 

뉴스에서 막 일어나고 있을 때 우리는 "그것에 대해 들었어?"라고 물을 수 있습니다.

We can ask, “what do you think about…?” Some  current event. So, what is your opinion about  

“무슨 생각을 하세요…?”라고 물을 수 있습니다. 일부 현재 이벤트. 그렇다면

some current event that is happening? “Oh what  do you think about um the new lockdown in Korea?”  

현재 일어나고 있는 일부 사건에 대해 어떻게 생각하십니까? "아, 한국의 새로운 락다운에 대해 어떻게 생각해?"

Where you know it's uh, or any  current event right. So COVID,  

어, 또는 현재 진행 중인 이벤트가 맞다는 것을 알고 있는 곳입니다. 그래서 COVID,

lots of current events, “what do  you think about that? Oh, I think…”  

많은 시사 문제, “ 그것에 대해 어떻게 생각하세요? 아, 내 생각에는…

We can also start sentences with where we  heard something. So, the next two we see are,  

그래서, 우리가 보는 다음 두 가지는,

sorry the next two we see are, “I heard on the  radio today that…” Or “I saw on the news that…”  

죄송합니다 다음 두 가지는 " 오늘 라디오에서 들었어..." 또는 "뉴스에서 봤어요..."

And then talking about whatever that thing  is. “Oh, I heard on the radio today that um  

그리고 그게 무엇인지에 대해 이야기합니다 . “아, 오늘 라디오에서

uh Lady Gaga is doing a concert next  week. We should go.” Right, whatever the  

음 레이디 가가가 다음 주에 콘서트를 한다고 들었어 . 우리는 가야한다." 맞습니다. 현재 이벤트가 무엇이든 상관없습니다

current event is. So, we can say where we heard  it. “I heard it on the radio. I saw on the news.  

. 그래서 어디서 들었는지 말할 수 있습니다 . “라디오에서 들었어요. 나는 뉴스에서 보았다.

I read in the newspaper,” and so on. And then  sharing what that thing is. And a great current

event and also a common topic for small talk uh  is about sports. “Did you catch the game last

If I’m just being friendly and having some small  talk, “hey did you catch the game last night?”  

내가 친근하고 잡담을 나누는 것이라면 "야 너 어젯밤에 게임 봤어?"
