Meet Vladimir!

What’s going on, people?

My name is Vladimir, but my friends call me Vlachy.

And if you love learning English, I’m pretty sure

that you’re my friend too.

I was one of the winners of the Learning with Cambridge

competition to find new YouTube presenters.

And I’m really excited to be here.

I’m from a small town, which is known as

the sweet capital of Colombia, Floridablanca.

Let me show you why.

Floridablanca is only 20 minutes away from the capital

city of Santander, Bucaramanga, in the east region of Colombia.

Its typical dessert is called oblea,

and it’s a sandwich like treat with meal

sweet and toppings of your preference.

You can also find typical sweets made

of a great variety of native fruits,

such as bocadillos and coffee sweets.

Another tasty dessert is the tropical snow cone.

They have different syrups and small pieces of fruit

and you can find it in any corner in Floridablanca.

I’ve been teaching English for about ten years now and

I’m also a teacher trainer and academic consultant.

I want students to have a good time while

they’re learning English, that’s why I’m always trying

to use engaging themes, such as music and travel,

in my lessons.

But what I love the most is using English as a means to

teach other life skills, such as teamwork,

communication, creativity, and critical thinking.

So, you’re both learning a new language and why not?
