Have Yet to Do & Have Yet to Be Done - Formal English Grammar

Look at the structure I just used. I have yet  to cover modals of certainty. Have yet to cover.

What does that mean? In this lesson, we'll talk  about "have yet to do" and "have yet to be done."

A negative verb in the present perfect  allows us to express what we expect to do,

but haven't done yet. I haven't made  a video on modals of certainty yet.

Okay. These sentences are what I'd say  in everyday English. I can restate these

ideas using infinitives, and I'm also going to  change the position of the adverb "yet." Watch.

부정사를 사용하여 이러한 아이디어를 다시 말할 수 있으며 부사 '아직'의 위치도 변경할 것입니다. 보다.

I have yet to make a video on modals of certainty.

나는 아직 확실성 모달에 대한 비디오를 만들지 않았습니다.

I have yet to teach that grammar point.

Do you see the pattern? First of  all, I don't use any contractions.

This is formal English, and I use "yet"  immediately after the helping verb.

이것은 격식 있는 영어이고 저는 조동사 바로 뒤에 '아직'을 사용합니다 .

Try this last one on your own.

We have yet to study that together.

우리는 아직 그것을 함께 연구하지 않았습니다.

Get it? We can also use this  pattern with passive verbs.

It works well in official announcements. Look.

The next topic hasn't been decided yet.

I'm going to change that to: The  next topic has yet to be decided.

Again, I avoid contractions. "Yet" follows  the helping verb. The passive infinitive  

다시 말하지만 수축을 피합니다. 'Yet'는 조동사 뒤에 옵니다 . 수동 부정사는

is "to be" + the past participle.

'to be' + 과거분사입니다.

Can you change these sentences?

The filming location has yet to be determined.

Videos on essay writing have yet to be made.

You can have fun with this structure. It's  formal and perfect for moments of inspiration.

이 구조로 재미있게 놀 수 있습니다. 영감을 주는 순간에 격식을 차리고 완벽합니다.

I have yet to conquer this  mountain, but one day I will.

나는 아직 이 산을 정복하지 못했지만 언젠가는 정복할 것입니다.

Before we end, I'll share one variation  with the verb "be." The best is yet to come.

In this sentence, it's not about doing something  or making something happen. It's more about  

이 문장에서 그것은 어떤 일을 하거나 어떤 일이 일어나게 하는 것에 관한 것이 아닙니다.

waiting for it to happen or anticipating that  it will happen one day. The best is yet to come.

그것이 일어나기를 기다리거나 언젠가 일어날 것이라고 예상하는 것에 관한 것입니다. 최고는 아직 오지 않았습니다.
