මගේ Barcelona ට්‍රිප් එක ගැන.

unfortunately i didn't film much or

අවාසනාවන්ත ලෙස මට ගොඩක් photos ගන්න බැරිවුණා.

verbs and the third most popular was

travel vocabulary so thought I

travel vocabulary ගැන. ඉතින් මම හිතුව travel සහ phrasal verbs

would take travel and phrasal verbs fuse

දෙකම එකතු කරලා දෙයක් කරන්න.

so the first one is to set off to set

ඉතින් පලවෙනි verb එක තමයි to set off කියන එක.

off to set off means to start or begin a

ඉතින් මේ to set off කියල කියන්නෙ

trip or a journey so i could say when I

trip එකක් වගේ එකක් යෑමට පටන් ගැනීම එහෙමත් නැත්නම් ආරම්භ කිරීම. ඉතින් මට මෙහෙම කියන්න පුළුවන්.

went to Barcelona i set off at six

මම Barcelona වලට යන්න ආරම්භ කලේ උදෑසන 6 ට

o'clock in the morning and i arrived at

සහ

the airport at eight o'clock so i began

airport එකට ලඟා වෙනකොට 8 විතර වුණා.

the whole journey at six o'clock in the

ඉතින් මම සම්පූර්ණ සංචාරය එක ආරම්භ කලේ

morning

now the next one is to hold up and this

උදෑසන 6 ට

මීලඟ verb එක තමයි to hold up.

means to delay something so i could say

සහ එහි තේරුම වන්නේ පරක්කු වීම. මට කියන්න පුළුවන් මෙහෙම.

there was a traffic jam which held us up

traffic එකක් තිබුන අපිව

for half an hour the next one is to see

පැය භාගයක් පමණ රදවා තබා ගත්ත(පරක්කු කල). ඊළඟ එක තමයි

somebody off or just to see off and this

to see somebody off හෝ to see off.

means to go to a station or airport or

මේකෙ තේරුම තමයි කිසියම් station එකකදී හෝ airport එකකදී

specific place to say goodbye to

කිසියම් තැනකදී කවුරුන්

somebody that is traveling somewhere so

හෝ සමු ගැනීමේදී සුභ පැතීමයි.

i could say my dad came into departures

මට මෙහෙම කියන්න පුළුවන්.

to see me off my dad came into

මගේ තාත්ත පිටත්වෙන තැනට ආවා මට සමුදීමට

departures to say goodbye to me before I

මම පිටත් වීමට පෙර.

traveled the next one is to check in and

ඊළඟ එක තමයි to check in සහ

this means to arrive and register at a

මේකේ තේරුම තමයි

hotel or an airport so at the airport I

hotel එකකට හෝ airport එකකට පැමිණ ලියාපදිංචි වීමයි එහෙමත් නැත්නම් පරික්ෂාවකට ලක්වීමයි..

had to check in my luggage at the desk

ඉතින් මට airport එකේ ඉදිරිපසදී මගේ බඩු බාහිරාදිය පරික්ෂා කිරීමකට ලක්කළ යුතු වෙනවා

and that the hotel i also had to check

සහ hotel එකකදී ලියාපදිංචි වීමට හෝ පරික්ෂාවකට ලක්වීමට වෙනවා

in and receive my keys

මගේ කාමරයේ keys ලබා ගැනීමට.

remember at the end of the trip i would

සහ මතක තබා ගන්න නැවත මම පිටවෙන විටද

also

එවන් වූ පරික්ෂාවට ලක්විය යුතු වෙනවා.

check out the final one is to stop over

ඉතින් අපේ අවසාන verb එක තමයි to stop over

and this means to stop somewhere on the

මේකේ තේරුම තමයි

way to your final destination so if you

ඔබේ ගමනාන්තය දක්වා ඇති කිසියම් තැනක නතර වීම

were going on a long journey to

ඉතින් උදහරණයක් විදියට ඔබ

Indonesia for example maybe you would

Indonesia වගේ දුර ස්ථානයකට යන අවස්ථාවක

stop over in another country in another

ඔබට airport එකක එහෙමත් නැත්නම් කිසියම් නගරයක නතර වීමට සිදුවෙනවා

airport on the way and then make a

journey so my final destination is

මගේ ගමනාන්තය Indonesia ව වුවත් මට ගමන Italy වගේ තැනකදී නවාතැන් ගන්නට සිදු වෙනවා.

Indonesia but i might stop over in Italy
