Different Phrases to Say instead of Thank You

Today we’ll have a useful vocabulary lesson, I want to teach you Different Ways to Say

Thank You People use the phrase Thank You very often,

they use it all the time and this makes them sound kind of boring,

and today I’m gonna share with you some alternatives you can use

instead of saying Thank YOU.

I’m not gonna talk about the ways to say thank you quickly at the shop,

when you buy something, or at the restaurant I’ll focus on the ways to say thank you

to the person who did something kind and special to you.

Let’s get started.

The first phrase that a lot of native speakers use is

I'm really grateful for … It’s a general way to thank someone

For example, when you’ve just finished a training course

and you want to say some kind words to your teacher,

you can say: I'm really grateful for your work

or when your colleague’s helped you accomplish your goal

or do research you needed for your project, you might want to say

I'm really grateful for your help.

Also when you need to show your gratitude and appreciation,

you can say: Accept my endless gratitude

That means what you did for me was so amazing, so important,

and this strong feeling of appreciation to someone is

so enormous, I would say, the endless feeling of gratitude.

Another way to say thank you is You've saved my life

If someone did some actions that prevented something bad from happening,

and they literally saved you from unpleasant things,

you might want to say something like: You've saved my life

By saying this phrase, you put more emphasis on the person

You've saved my life.

Without you I couldn’t have done that.

For example, when you’re short of money, and you have to pay your credits,

and your friend gives you some money, and you say:

Oh my God, you've saved my life.

Let’s go to the next one: I owe you one

When someone did something to help you, and you wanna let them know that you’re

grateful you can say I owe you one.

This phrase is another way to say Thank so much, you did me a favor,

and I wanna do something for you.

That means you’re gonna help your friend later, and do something good in return.

Next time he needs help, you’ll help them as well.

The next phrase Oh you shouldn't have

You can use this phrase when you want to say that you didn’t expect

someone to make something good for you for example, when your boyfriend gave you

a very expensive ring, and you’re like Oh you shouldn’t have!

This ring must be very expensive These words don’t mean that you want to

give this ring back to him, it’s just the way of saying Thank you, to

show your appreciation.

This is a very common response when you receive a great present.

You made my day This phrase is very common,

I use this one almost every day, with my friends and my family,

when I want to show them that they’ve done something

that completely changed my state of mind and my mood.

It sounds a little strange in some languages, if we translate it word to word.

You made my day Native speakers thank each other by saying

this and this is an informal phrase you can use

if someone made something special or said something kind

that changed the situation.

I truly appreciate you it’s a more formal way to say thank you

to the people you respect a lot, to your colleagues or clients

And I personally use this one all the time when I want to say thank you to my students,

and my audience here on Youtube.
