live from the middle of Rome are  you enjoying this live stream so

far Pavarotti Eat Your Heart Out hi everybody this  is Mr Duncan in I'm not in England by the way you  

may have noticed this is not Much Wenlock it's  very different from Much Wenlock the buildings  

here are much larger than Much Wenlock and there  are quite a few people here as well my name is  

Mr Duncan I talk about the English language  you might say that I am an English addict I  

am crazy about English some people say that I'm  just crazy here I am now in the center of Rome  

outside a very famous building that many locals  refer to as the typewriter because it resembles  

a typewriter and this is a very famous place at  the moment there are lots of police and lots of  

guards walking around in fact I can tell you a  little secret I was supposed to go up there and  

do my live stream but then a man came up to me  and said no tripods for you you must go so I I  

went I was so upset I was crying I was screaming  like a girl but we've managed to find a nice cozy  

place in the shade of course it is not just me  it's not just me so don't worry you don't have  

to look at my ugly face for one hour there are  lots of lovely people here I was looking at all  

of the ruins of Rome yesterday and today we  have some more lovely ruins to look at it's  

my lovely English addict addicts come on  everybody come and join us [Music] hello

hello so as you can see we are having our Rome  rendevu right here in Rome as the name suggests  

yesterday we were walking around the Coliseum  and the weather was so hot it was 35° yesterday  

it was hot yesterday wasn't it it it was too  hot yesterday wasn't it too hot too hot too  

hot it was scorchio as they say in Spanish not  Italian I don't know what hot what is hot in

Italian it is it is Grande Caldo very hot  yesterday but today it's a little cooler  

and we've managed to find a place to stand under  the trees in the shade away from that harsh Sun  

so my name is Duncan you might recognize some  of the people here especially him you will know  

who he is he's the guy who likes to wrestle  with the seagulls he's killed four seagulls  

already since coming here he likes to grab  them and wrestle them sometimes they they

win you see already they're complaining about it  already they are getting angry and sometimes of  

course you might see some of my other friends here  and they are actually here in person so normally  

they would appear on the live chat but today we  are all together in real time we have I'm going  

to go around now so be prepared everyone we have  first of all hello hello everybody I'm Franchesca

kind because I was so tired Mr Steve was tired  and maritzio took us back to the hotel in his car

next Christina okay hello everyone I'm Christina  from Geneva okay I have a story to tell you about  

Christina Christina last night no Christina last  night had an accident had a slight emergency she  

had to go to the hospital no do do you want  to know what happened do you know you do you  

really want to know let's just say let's just  say something that is a part of Christina's  

mouth she swallowed but everything is all right  now the hospital said she's super they said you  

are a wonderful person they said you must be  on the live stream tomorrow so they made you  

better yes I'm feeling better thank I'm feeling  better thank you thank you very much I am going  

to get into so much trouble for saying  that but you know what it's like if you  

if you come on my live stream anything can  happen so Christina is now 100% well I'm not  

sure about myself I don't think I'm 100%  well anywhere in my body or up here to be

honest that Seagle is challenging Mr Steve  to a fight that is fighting talk up there

the second time that we've met and I have to be  honest I'm amazed that there was a second time

some some direct English from real English  people is that right yes I'm going to bath  

and then to beol H to learn H to do a an immersion  course with the family so we call it immersion or  

you immerse yourself in the culture you you you  get involved you you kind of become part of the  

place you are visiting and of course I always say  that if you are if you are Keen to learn English  

sometimes it is good to create an English  environment a little bit like here you  

see so everyone here is speaking English with  each other so we are creating our own English  

environment by the way we are live now in Rome  the capital of Italy and I have to say I do love  

it we went to St Peter Square the other day in  Vatican City and it's wonderful wonderful place  

I will be back here definitely now we have  some more people to pick on with my magic

microphone

Romano Rano I didn't understand any of that no  that's I'm joking of course I'm joking it's a  

little it's a little joke it's what we do see  sometimes I have little jokes you see it's  

Giovani and he has come here with somebody else  as well so we have Giovani and also also Lor his  

wife by the way she doesn't seem very happy about  that I just came here to have my t-shirt signed  

by Mr Duncan this guy in person and M Mr Steve so  look at can you see that so so we have a t-shirt  

it's one of those lovely t-shirts that you can  buy by the way look at this they are available  

now had all good shops English addict and on the  back look at that I have written a little message  

on the back and it says how how are you today and  Mr Steve has written something on the back as well  

I think it's his telephone number I don't know why  why have you put your telephone number on the back  

of there I told you by bye to all the viewers  so as you can see we are causing all sorts of  

chaos here in Italy two things I've noticed  about Italy if you agree say yes two things  

I've noticed about Italy one people smoke quite  a lot is that true or or not true yes yes that  

was rubbish is it true or not true yes that's  better they need I think I think we need some  

alcohol we need to get we need to get them drunk  I think so so yes I think people do smoke a lot  

in I've noticed this people smoke a lot very very  different from England where no one really smokes  

anymore the other thing I've noticed that the  traffic is very polite Is that real true or  

not yes the motorists on the road here in Rome  are actually quite friendly and pleasant in fact  

if you if you step out into the road the cars  will just stop for you it's like magic if you  

did that in England they would run you over  the car would just and you would go flying  

through the air so I have to say the motorists  here are lovely can I say to all the motorists  

in Italy I love you so much thank you thank you  for not running me over now we have someone else  

here someone we haven't spoken to yet you know  who I'm going to talk to now come on over here

it's Mr Steve hello wonderful viewers from across  the world wonderful to be here again and yes it's  

been a totally nonstressful buildup yes to the  live stream today but luckily we found some shade  

uh so that we can uh not suffer in the sun because  yesterday we got a little little overheated you  

can see Mr Duncan's face is more red than my  t-shirt yes because I have to put I have to rub Mr  

Duncan in Sun cream to prevent him from uh getting  sunburnt but but then he he does that normally for  

me on any day of the week even if the sun isn't  out to be honest I just like like the feeling  

so we are having a wonderful time in Italy with  two friends that we met last year Christina and  

beatric and new friends that have met us this year  as well and it's wonderful these those friends  

from across the globe have come to see us in Italy  and uh we had a lovely meal last night with some  

of them we're going to have another lovely meal  tonight and we will find the hotel tonight can I  

last night we got lost trying to find the uh the  restaurant say can I also say hello to people who  

came yesterday we had some lovely guests come but  they had to leave yesterday we have Franco Franco  

and Tanya Tanya I think Tanya is in love with me  I think so it's okay Tanya our secret is safe we  

also had Alesandra and Salvador salvad yes I  remembered you seeand and salvad Sal Salvador  

I just remembered Salvador Dar you see I remember  the artist with the big maach so I could remember  

and also Alexandra but at the same time you see  Christina was was giving us all a lot of panic we  

were worried about what was going no it's okay we  we almost forgive you but tonight we we are having  

a lovely meal together we are going somewhere  to have have some lovely Italian food what is  

your favorite Italian food here we go so so now  I have to if you come come this way slightly  

everyone and I'm going to ask you what your  favorite Italian food is and may maybe I haven't  

tried it yet so we will see let me just move my  camera because I can't get everyone on here we

go come in a bit everyone is so shy why  are you so shy I won't bite honestly

okay I have to move because that's that's better  I can see you know ready favorite Italian food  

coming now pasta I ate a a spaghetti last  night delicious delicious spaghetti what  

beus doesn't tell you is we we had to finish her  spaghetti because there was so much so normally we  

have to finish berric food because there's  always you and Mr Steve shared the the meal  

with me no there there was always too much  food Mr beatric has a small appetite yeah  

it does not eat so when I always know that I  can eat twice as much because I eat my meal  

and then I eat half of Beatrice's meal because  beatric will always give me half of her meal  

so thank you very much I put  on weight now that's okay

thank oh my God it's like a soap opera it's like  one of those long running programs that you see  

on television favorite food in Italy we've had  pasta pasta there there is a lot of pasta around  

but I've noticed that the Italian food is quite  different here than the Italian food in the UK  

have you noticed that if you've been to the UK so  so the Italian food is very different yeah so when  

you when when you have meatballs you just get the  meatballs you don't get anything else so you have  

to have other things as well which I was quite  surprised by I have to be honest anyway favorite  

food Parana Parana is the best food in Italy in  my opinion in my opinion eggplants with parmes

the top it's the top it's the top  in my opinion and you know I like  

eggplant very much it is one of the best  types of food in the world so we have been  

experimenting back home in England with  eggplant as well very nice here we go let  

me just loosen this so I can swivel my  camera that's better I can move it now

favorite Italian food oh I I prefer 40 or 50  dishes but I I I have to choose so I say bakala  

with onions a little garlic parsley potatoes and  some little tomato of pakino in Sicily that tomato

in the oven that's that almost sounds like  some sort of what we would call a bake you  

bake everything in the oven and it all bakes  together so so I've done that in the past with  

with eggplant for Mr Steve and it's been very  successful so I suppose tonight we should try  

something different I think Steve we should  try a different type of meal tonight instead  

of having pasta because everyone has pasted  I don't know especially the British we are  

we are I have to say we are not very imaginative  we have no imagination the British when it comes  

to food we just think of fish and chips fish and  chips that's all we eat in England it's not very  

exciting is it so I am enjoying SE finding out all  of the different dishes here in Italy Christine

yes what Christina eats Christina just said I eat  

everything and you know what it's  true it's true Christina does eat

anything that's all I'm saying I can't  

say anything else I will be  deported from Italy Christina

besides I can't say this if I say this  I think Christ Christina will slap  

my face Christina what is your favorite food  in Italy my God what an answer H fish fish  

I prefer fish and from pasta carbonara  carbonara oh yes I have to say I do like  

cabonara it's um if I remember it's it's  creamy creamy creamy I do like that but  

too much of it though it can make you feel a  bit a bit sick Christina knows all about that  

so I think I think there is a lot of Italian food  that I need to try even though we are leaving  

tomorrow a we're leaving tomorrow it is a Pity  I want to stay longer so so we're leaving here  

tomorrow be be stay maybe we could just stay here  forever and not leave ever we could just stay here  

Steve uh yes we could stay here you haven't asked  me what my favorite Italian food is yet Mr Steve  

Mr Steve what is your favorite Italian food don't  you dare say pizza if you say pizza I'm going I'm  

just gonna I'm just going to walk out of here  I'll do my live stream somewhere else Mr Steve  

what is your favorite Italian food lasia very  good very good uh I laugh because in the UK um  

then lasagna is a food that all British people  have in restaurants and a lot of it is very poor  

quality food but I want to try lasagna in Roma  to see if it is it will be better than at home  

so tonight I look for lasagna uh but to it Italian  is lasagna a popular food in yes it's popular yes  

very popular there are many levels Sunday L  of food many levels oh good okay you put some  

uh some food I thought you would laugh because  lasagna is just in the UK Italian everyone eats  

lasagna but a lot of it is frozen poor quality but  I'm going to look for the best okay uh tonight so  

Mr Steve is going to try and find the world's  best lasagna and I have to say I think lasagna  

is probably one of the the nicest meals that you  can find so I'm looking forward to finding the  

perfect lasagna maybe tonight maybe the place  we are going to it's really really great to be  

I have to say I I'm overwhelmed now when we went  to St pet St Peters Square am I getting that wrong  

the other night because somebody said Oh Mr Duncan  it's not in Rome it's in Vatican City somebody  

said that on the comments it's not it's not it's  not it's not Rome it's Vatican City you're wrong  

you you silly man it's not horrible so the other  day we went there and it is the most amazing place  

as I said the other day it was quite spiritual  quite spiritual not necessarily religious but  

spiritual there there was feeling of for a moment  I just felt in touch with with everything around  

me and it's not very often that I say things like  that but I was it was it was a wonderful moment  

I will never forget when we first walked in and  the how enormous everything is and how small it  

makes you feel and I sometimes think that's the  reason why they're built like that to make us all  

feel small and and almost insignificant so we are  looking looking for meaning looking for some sort  

of reason for everything H maybe maybe I'm wrong  I don't know what do I know I'm just an English  

teacher on YouTube so have you enjoyed today it's  been interesting yes yes yes to my favorite I

of of the cakes and is a sicilian Sicilian do you  know Sicily the island on yeah H it's a sicilian  

um uh plate sweet and it's made uh with almonds  almond um ricotta cheese oh and uh candy fruit  

try fruit and chocolate yes dark  chocolate and it's very very you can

tell what what is what is the name of it again  Casada Casada so if I ask if I ask for Casada  

will they know Casada give me some Casada  please because it's been recommended to me  

on my live stream maybe maybe maybe it will now  Franchesca Franchesca last year oh maybe that you  

can find find the casata in pad near your hotel  really maybe there is a bar cilian Sicilian bar  

maybe so so the close to cinema Eden Cinema Eden  Eden Eden close to C Eden there is a sicilian bar  

where there is the cada is it run by the  mafia do I have to worry do I have to go  

in there and show show some respect you  come to my ice cream parlor and you show  

me no respect there is there is no ice cream  for you I'm afraido favorite oh maritzio I'm  

sorry I'm forgetting everyone I'm just so  excited you to be here to be honest for the  

pasta you're exciting I like every type of  pasta if to choose one of the best carbon I

think but every type of pasta is good white  and with the sauce and with Fish And I I  

think I think we often think of pasta but of  course it isn't just one type of pasta there  

are so many different types shapes sizes some  of the pasta comes in small pieces you have  

you have fili you can have fili pasta you  can have spaghetti which is the very long  

pasta it goes on and on for a very long way  and that's a good idea yes I like that the  

only problem with pasta of course if you eat  too much we all know what happens don't we  

if you eat too much pasta you you put on  weight and well the rest as they say is  

a very big belly Yesterday by the way it  was it was berri's birthday yesterday so

yesterday I gave you a lovely English addict shirt  my here is this man is about to take me away I  

think this is the guy who's going to take me away  he's had a report could there is some rubbish that

it's so hot I'm not used to this hot weather we  live in England you see and if you know English  

weather we never see any sun whatsoever yeah  we just we just pretend it's sunny we just go

it and what was that Steve Franchesca  changed the date of her holiday so that  

she could be here to meet us today so  that's fantastic yes can I ask why I'm

leaving why why would you do that for us to meet  us Mr danan we are friends to meet all the friends  

Mr danan Mr Steve Beatrice all all friends English  family the yes the community it's very important  

to be a community I think so I think I think that  is actually a very good point to make and even  

on the live chat when we talk to people who who  don't normally check very much they sometimes they  

sometimes will send me messages as well they will  send me messages and saying Mr Duncan it is like  

a big happy family that is why we like coming  on the live chat and I have to say you are to

me even the seagull even the seagull are agreeing  with that statement and I think what more can you

disappointed with is there were no lions  and no Gladiators I was looking forward to  

I was looking forward to wrestling with a  gladiator I've never been I've never been  

wrestled by a gladiator before I wonder  what it feels like is it okay is it good  

I don't know but we never found out because  there was nothing there there was just us  

walking around getting very very hot and my  phone kept breaking down because it it was  

overheating anyway I think we will leave  it now before the police come and take us

awayk yeah yes I think so oh yes yes definitely  you you Beatrice wants to say hello oh hello to  

my family in Argentina my brother all my family  I love you my friends Anna my teacher um it did  

and everyone uh uh yesterday was my birthday and  this was my family yesterday uh but I love you I

I don't I don't want to stop to be honest can we  just all stand here and just just do this for a

while that happened yesterday at the Coliseum  I was stealing I was stealing other information  

from the guides I was following people around and  they were in other groups private groups and I  

was listening to the other the guides and this one  woman said to me she says are you are you with are  

you with the group and I said no I'm just thinking  I'm just thinking I'm listening to what you're  

saying so I can have a free tour without paying  but I'm also just thinking about things so if you  

don't mind I would like to just carry on thinking  but I did learn some interesting things yesterday  

apparently they make cheese at the back of the  Coliseum I learned that yesterday and also they  

used to keep sheep there which I imagine they used  to feed to the Lions because the Lions as they  

always say a lion cannot live on Christian slaves  alone although that's not that's not true is it  

Franchesca said yesterday it's not true anyway it  wasn't Christians it wasn't the Christian slaves  

about the Christians I think it's a legend that  lions fight against the Christians but we meet we  

meet some Leons yesterday only by Stones marbles  luckily I told you the police were coming what  

did I say I said the police are going to come and  they're here so in a moment I'm going to get taken  

away by the local Italian police and I don't know  what they're going to do to me when they get me in

a wonderful meal tonight all of us in a wonderful  restaurant somewhere in Roma and uh I will say ar

ar can I just say Mr Steve has been learning a lot  of Italian and some of it is is very unusual for  

for example he now knows how to say how much for  the whole night I don't know why he needs that and  

also I need to call my lawyer is another phrase  is and I don't know why he would need that to be  

honest I don't know what that's all about if you  would like to join us and look as happy as this  

you can join us next year because I'm sure we will  do another English addict rendevu next year by the  

way we are planning something extra special for  my 20th anniversary on YouTube we are planning  

something special let's just say it will be  somewh where very close to [Music] home yes
