hope so can I just say now that I'm not very happy because I've just spent the

past 50 minutes 50 minutes trying to sort this out oh my goodness I'm very

sorry there were some problems now I will explain briefly what's happened

today there were some updates on the thing that allows my live stream to

actually exist so it's nothing to do with YouTube it is

actually something else so I'm not going to blame YouTube this time for once

it isn't YouTube's fault I'm just desperately trying to get the live chat

on now. dear oh me! oh it was such a lovely evening do you know what happened

tonight I had a lovely sleep on the bed I felt as if I needed a little rest so I

went to lie down on the bed I had a lovely sleep for about one and a half

hours and then I woke up came down here to my studio prepared everything I was

already everything prepared and then 10 o'clock came and I pressed the button to

make the live stream begin and nothing happened there was a problem with

something called the encoder I did a big update today and there seems to be a

problem with that but we are here now I'm so happy to be here in fact I'm more

happy than I normally am to tell you the truth oh dear

I really did think we weren't go to do this tonight I had a very bad

feeling about all of this so Omar Thank You Omar Omar seems very happy because

we are now online yes we are now live on YouTube hello from France I don't know

what this actual livestream is called I have no idea because I've had to do

something very different from what I normally do to get online so I hope that

so we are late in live I'm normally here on Wednesday 10:00

eleven o'clock at night so all of the neighbors around me have gone to bed

high definition now and it's a live stream so this isn't recorded unless of

course you are watching the recorded one in which case it is it's very confusing

isn't it yeah but at the moment it is coming up to 11 o'clock at night and

it's Wednesday evening Wednesday evening here in the UK well in fact it's almost

it's almost Thursday morning it's almost Thursday already I rush back tonight

from my rehearsal expecting mr. Duncan to be in full swing full swing ie really

getting into doing the live stream the English lesson yes I like that full

swing in default if you are in full swing it means

you are really going strongly you are you are powering ahead you are in full

swing it must have come from like if you're playing golf this full swing of

the club or maybe a tennis racket yes or maybe if you are playing on a child's

swing yeah maybe the energy you have built up a lot of energy so you are now

in full swing I can feel you are moving into full swing now after five or ten

minutes well I've just been sitting over there in front of the computer pulling

my hair out which isn't easy because I don't have much hair yeah I came back

and it was silent I thought I can't hear very much mr. Duncan the door was shut

and then mr. Duncan came out and I saw his face and I knew something was wrong

instantly but he was actually staying very calm well uh you have to though

unlike him now yesterday this is very strange because because Steve also uses

computers in his job and quite often your computer or your phone or your iPad

will stop working for no reason yesterday was the phone so miss mr.

Steve's iPhone once again broke it wouldn't work it's at work phone and

this is yours this is his second iPhone now he had to send his first iPhone back

because it broke and and now he he has another iPhone and that one doesn't work

very well so this isn't a very good advert for iPhones to be honest it's

work give it to us no I used to have a little Nokia phone which I've had for

about ten years Nokia phones do you know what there is

nothing better than the old-fashioned Nokia phone do you remember that there

is one particular type of Nokia phone and you could you could literally throw

it at a brick wall and it wouldn't break you could do everything with it but

nowadays even if you even if you sneeze next to your

smartphone they break instantly what I what I did was that I I'd accidentally

touched one of the one of the buttons in the wrong way and it set it into some

kind of voice recognition mode yes and it kept talking back at me and I

couldn't do anything and and I couldn't switch it off when I switched it off

eventually mr. Duncan was trying to help me and then it wanted me to cause to put

the password in and it wasn't doing it what was so frustrating and what do I

usually do when I get frustrated with technology mister do you normally smash

it up I usually smell but the only thing that stops me is the fact that it's work

on this phone and the laptop and that if I was to break it I would probably have

to pay for it so these days these days Steve just doesn't tend he tends not to

break her have broken things before you have in the past I have smashed my fists

onto a laptop screen and broken it can you imagine that range can you imagine

mr. Steve losing his temper with computers he seems so so mild-mannered

I can get suddenly upset and angry and then calm again and I mr. Duncan always says this but I suddenly

lose my temper and I get absolutely into this rage and then suddenly it goes and

I'm over it what was that that was me getting losing my temper but I'm not I'm

calm mr. Duncan has been preparing for this

Wednesday lesson for about the last two days and he was really excited before I

left tonight at about tonight was about quarter to 7:00 and Dave was looking

forward to doing his live stream which he always does and he's got all these

things prepared he was all excited and I thought I'll come back it's all going

and I'll come in and say hello to everybody and say a few things and but

anyway we're here now that's the important thing

yes let's not keep going over the old let's let's not keep raking the old coal

that's a great that's another good expression if you keep raking over the

old coals it means you keep going back to the past to things that have happened

in the past so at least we are here now that is the important thing I'm here and

mr. Steve is here and also you as well so it's great to see so many people

phone by mistake my mr. what do i what do I do if things go wrong I just I just

I just mashed my finger onto the screen see this is what happened yesterday I

everything on the phone and then of course it goes wrong and then you wonder

why the phone doesn't work properly I think it's you is you're with your big

big banana fingers just mashing mashing all of the keys the thing is they've got

such such thick glass screens that you would actually break your finger I think

before you broke the phone I don't know nowadays but these new phones are so

fragile as I said earlier those those amazing Nokia phones

sadly Nokia don't really make mobile phones anymore they tend to do software

they do a lot of sort of sort of information technology software but they

don't really do much in the way of smart phones or mobile phones anymore but to

charge them and they it would last a week yes there was one particular Nokia

and it was a it was like a little house brick it was literally like a brick and

you could you could drop it you could throw it you could sit on it you could

put it in the washing machine you could put it in the microwave and it would

still be okay you could it would still be alright it would still work you could

still use it even though you know after being in the oven or in the washing

machine it might be a little bit hot but it would still work I think you're

exaggerating a bit there mr. Duncan I hate iPhones says hope star and I

prefer I for Samsung more well III have a Samsung

phone there you can see mr. Steve and myself on the phone

there we go you see who those two were so so we this is what we do you see we

we can watch ourselves on the phone and we can follow the live chat as well so

you might see the live chat appear in the in the moment on the screen so

that's how we do it you see a lot of people ask how do you do that how do you

know when people are saying things on the live chat so there it is I use my

Samsung phone now this phone isn't new this is old this is nearly four years

old this phone and it works perfectly I haven't had any problems with this phone

we've done live streams from the top of hills and mountains and all over the

place with that if you've seen us out and about doing a live stream it's on

this phone it's worked very hard this phone has been in so many places Sudan

how are you both I really need your help how can I improve my writing and

listening as well this is a question I get a lot and every time I do a live

stream I have to answer this question like any other skill anything that you

do in life it takes time you can't rush learning learning just take time imagine

for example if you want to be a doctor do you know how long it takes to become

a doctor if you are training to become a doctor how long does it take Steve

depends what country you're in but it happens if it's in this country probably

about seven years seven years it takes seven years to learn how to be a doctor

now imagine if you want to become a doctor but you're in a hurry

you've really can't wait to get your fingers into those those holes and open

those mouths and poke and prod at all of those patients that will be coming to

see you imagine that but but you can't wait and then then you so you rush it

you rush becoming a doctor and then of course all of your patients start dying

because you rushed it I often think I mean I think actually if you want to

become a vet you have to have more training than a doctor because you have

to know all I mean you imagine if you're a doctor you only have to learn about

humans human anatomy and physiology and how the human body works but if you're a

vet you have to learn about how a mouse works how a horse works how a mouse words

well you have to learn all the insides so you have many different the same you

know the mouse think you just wind it up at the side and it just runs around

I'm talking about a real why don't that I don't suppose vets have to

examine many mice but you imagine they have to look at horses cats dogs all

manner of different animals they have to know and all these animals act in

different ways and they need different amounts of medicine

so I think if we're coming a vet you have to know a lot more though that you

becoming a doctor look Steve there are some common-sense things yeah I mean

you're not going to give the same amount of I don't know painkiller to a mouse

that as you would a horse I know but you've got to know so you've got to have

a lot of training wait if it's a human it's just I'll take two a day if it's if

it's a cat you're gonna have to give it different instructions to the owner than

are to a horse oh where are the horses a horse has got about three

stomachs a cat's only got one you better know all these things becoming a vet I

think is far harder don't cows have five stomachs? but I think

if you get it wrong it probably doesn't matter if you get it wrong you know it I

think I know we're going to get into trouble here a lot of people love

animals in fact a lot of people nowadays put animals above human beings they

would rather have a cacked sitting on their lap licking their face

then go on I suppose where are you going with this I walked straight into that

about vets because if you if you get it wrong with a dog or a cat you don't have

to apologise do you I think you do well I think if you caused the death of

someone's dog or cat you don't just you don't just give them the dog back and

say I'm sorry it's dead but you can just say well I'm sorry that I was just

incurable I did everything I couldn't they can't ask how are they gonna know I

think they'll find out somehow there are many ways yes people take it very

actually they're connected with the company EE which of course now owns the
