Well, many years ago, in the distant past,

during disease and plague,

if a person became ill or appeared

to be ill and they sneezed

or maybe they coughed, a person would say, bless you.

And it was a way of helping them to recover

from their illness, although quite often they didn't.

These days,

however, most people can get coughs and colds

and sneeze, or in my case, hay fever,

because that's what I get every single year.

I get hay fever and I hate it.

If I was honest with you,

I wish I could make my hay fever go away.

I have tried everything.

I have tried certain types of medicine.

I have tried certain drinks,

certain types of herbs,

and it doesn't change a thing.

I still get hay fever every single year,

so I do get hay fever quite badly

at this time of year.

So don't be too surprised if I sneeze once or twice.

Apparently, Claudia had a nightmare last night.

I had an English test and I could not answer anything.

I told myself I know English.

And then I read lots and lots of words

that I've never heard from or heard of before.

It was a horrible nightmare.

A lot of people do have those types of nightmare.

Maybe if you have a bad dream and most nightmares

or bad dreams tend to have certain themes.

So quite often you might have a bad dream

where you are falling

or maybe you are doing something

that you've never done before.

Maybe you are sitting an exam of some sort

and maybe all of the questions you don't know

the answers to, which sounds like your nightmare.

Claudia That sounds like what you had last night,

to be honest.

Another one, of course, is,

is when you are

giving a speech in front of lots of people

and then you realise that you have no clothes

on your body, you are completely naked.

So that apparently for most people

is a is a common nightmare.

Fortunately, it doesn't happen in real life.

So a few moments ago I did mention my drink.

It looks now,

I suppose on this particular camera it looks green.

Well, this is one of my.

My new ways of staying healthy.

I've been doing a lot of walking,

but I'm also having

delicious

smoothies made from all sorts of things.

And the reason why this is green is

because it has vegetables

and fruit inside it.

So this particular drink is made using

plant based yoghurt,

banana,

apple,

orange,

strawberries.

They are all in this drink.

And

most importantly of all,

there is a green vegetable called kale.

Now you've probably heard of it.

Apparently, it's one of those superfoods.

This is it's supposed to be very good for your body.

So everything is in here.

But I think the most important

ingredient is kale, which is a type of vegetable.

It looks like leaf,

it looks like a kind of leaf.

And you chop it up and you put it in your smoothie.

You can also cook it as well.

So this particular drink that I have here

is not only healthy, it's not only nutritious,

but it's also

it's also very nice as well.

It's very chilly

because it's been in the refrigerator all night.

So.

Oh, my goodness.

I have to say that that is very delicious.

And it's also quite healthy as well.

So many of the things that I'm doing.

And of course, next week we are going to weigh myself.

I'm going to weigh myself.

We are all going to witness me weighing myself

to see if I have lost

some weight over the past month

because that's what I've been doing.

You see,

I've been trying to lose a little bit of weight

because I want to wear my skinny jeans

When we meet in Paris, I want to wear my lovely,

sophisticated,

cool, fashionable, skinny jeans.

But unfortunately, over the past few months,

because I put weight on, I couldn't get into them.

I couldn't pull them up.

So I've lost some weight.

And hopefully next weekend I'm going to try and see

if I can put my skinny jeans on.

So I suppose that might be the question for next week.

Will I be able to wear my skinny jeans next week?

So I'm going to weigh myself next Sunday

and I'm going to also see if I can put my skinny jeans

on for when we meet in Paris.

walking so much over the past few days,

so I'm trying my best.

Talking of how how I saw you yesterday, by the way,

you were in the garden sunbathing semi-naked.

I saw it.

Well, the neighbours were complaining

and some of the birds were flying around

because they thought

they thought that it was a little worm

wriggling around.

But it wasn't.

It was an Adonis lying in the sun.

No, you might think Mr.

Steve, I thought you were averse to the sun.

Averse?

There's a good word against Don't like

the sun, but

I discovered a sort of blood test

that my vitamin D levels are very low.

And despite taking vitamin D tablets,

it has not increased it over the last six months.

So I am going to have to

go and

sunbathe 10 minutes a day

with just something covering my modesty.

Although, yes, he was naked in the garden and then

apparently it's been in the news

because the weather is getting better here in England.

A lot of people have been going into their gardens

and they've been lying in their gardens

completely naked.

Well, that is disgusting.

I am covering myself up, but I want to expose

my skin 10 minutes a day when the sun's out,

because that's the best way to boost your vitamin

D yet it shouldn't age my skin.

If you see me yesterday, you'd have laughed.

I had a towel over my head and neck to protect.

You know, I don't want my face to age or my neck.

That's always a giveaway, isn't it?

Older people being in the sun,

the neck all goes wrinkly.

You always end up with a neck.

It looks like a certain part

of a lady being in the sun too much and hands.

They always give it away as well, a wrinkled hand

because they're very difficult

to protect against the sun when you're out and about.

So I had socks on too.

Here I use socks on to cover

my arms and I had a towel over my head

so that the sun didn't affect my face at all.

And yet there I was, 10 minutes, one side, 10

minutes, the other bit like roasting a joint.

Yes.

And hopefully that will boost my vitamin D levels

because it turns out it's very difficult

to get them up with tablets. So.

So anyway, one, two, one, one.

I'll buy some mark a little of that.

What I

wanted to say was a lot of people

are sunbathing naked in their back gardens

and one or two people have received complaints

from their neighbours and apparently now I'm not sure

how this works, but apparently it is not.

I don't think it is illegal

to sunbathe naked in your back garden

as long as you can't be seen by other people.

Now by that

I think they mean from from your neighbours windows.

But if your neighbour

comes up to your fence and tries to look over the top

and they are trying to look at you

to see if you're naked, then that that is wrong,

you see,

because the neighbour is then doing the wrong thing.

They should not be trying to look over your fence

anyway, so you can, apparently you can bathe.

But I don't want to nude.

I'm not interested in that. No,

I was advised to check my vitamin D level recently.

Well

I've been reading a lot of studies about this, Mr.

Duncan.

I mean, this is nothing to do with teaching English.

It's just slightly interesting to you.

It turns out most of us are probably

lacking in vitamin D because it's very difficult

to get it from your diet.

You've got to eat sort of salmon every day

or something like that.

There's only certain foods

that contain a lot of vitamin D,

so you've got to eat an awful lot of it.

So the only way that most of us What are you doing?

So, okay, don't panic.

The only way that most of us

can get our vitamin D levels up significantly

is to go in the sun, but only for a limited period.

And I have been trying to you, my doctor said to me,

take tablets,

take these vitamin D tablets,

but they were far to lower dose.

I've been reading this. It

I've been reading that.

you probably low in vitamin D,

and if you've got dark skin,

it's even more difficult for you

to make vitamin C, vitamin D in the sun, apparently.
