Learn English phrases - “when in Rome, do as the Romans do”

as I am currently in Italy I thought it would  be a good opportunity to give you an interesting  

phrase that we often use in English the phrase  is When in Rome do as the Romans do this is a  

good way of saying that when you are in a place  that is new to you or perhaps things are done  

differently in that place then maybe it is a  good idea to experience those new things to  

absorb or assimilate the local culture or ways  of behaving in an unfamiliar place can be both  

enlightening and educational so that is the reason  why we say when in Rome do as the Romans do widen  

your horizons expand your view of the world step  into the shoes of someone else absorb the ways  

of a different culture even if it is just for  a short time when in Rome do what the Romans do

isn't that right Mr Steve?
