We are in Florence - with the beautiful sights . Learn English - The parable of David and Goliath.

I can't believe that man has no clothes on hi  everybody this is Mr dunen not in England I am  

still in Italy we have moved to another place now  another part of Italy I suppose you would describe  

this place as very very famous for certain types  of art uh some of it some of it now you can see  

behind me look there is some art over there some  sculptures and also some art just behind me with  

the naked man we are in Florence at the moment  and you might say that Florence is famous for  

many things most of all I would say that it is  often referred to as the place or the home or  

the place where most of the work of Michelangelo  is kept and this you can see behind me is the area  

where some of his work is displayed in fact I  will let you in on a secret some of the things  

here are actually reproductions they are replicas  so over there we have Michael Angelo's David just  

behind me talking of things that are beautiful and  pure as if they have been made from Marble we also  

have this guy behind me now it's Mr Steve hello  Mr Steve hello Mr Duncan hello yes here we are in  

lovely Florence um I must say our visit didn't get  off to the best start we came off the train and we  

came into the first square and it was a bit of a  dump yes it's very straight our first impressions  

of Florence were not very good I think we were  walking in the wrong direction we were going  

towards the Not So Nice Part of Florence but now  we are in a lovely part of Florence a very famous  

Square Mr Steve where is this where is the place  that we are standing in at the moment I was just  

looking that up this is the Pat Uh s senoria p  senoria the pat senoria senor senoria senoria  

I like the fact that Mr Steve has now become an  expert which means on Italian which means power  

oh uh Power in the Renaissance the powerful family  was the medich family oh very good it's almost as  

if Mr Steve was reading that no from Google so we  did have a very strange start in fact at one point  

we were going to call off the whole thing and  just get back on the track train fortunately we  

found this wonderful area look look as I turn  around look at this wonderful Square there is  

all sorts of things going on behind me there  are people everywhere we've just had the most  

amazing meal as well Mr Steve had a little bit of  my lasagna and I had some of his eggplant lasagna  

it was absolutely amazing I know what you're  trying to do Mr Duncan you're trying to keep  

me off the camera frame no I'm not I'm just  trying to let the lovely viewers see where we  

are the wonderful expanse of this place you see  how beautiful everything is all of the buildings  

except for that one behind me there can you see  over there that one is covered in scaffolding this  

is one of the things I was annoyed about when  we went to Rome we did find that many of the  

buildings in Rome were actually covered with but  that scaffolding that scaffolding there Mr Duncan  

they have tried to make it look like the building  yes the covering around the uh the scaffolding  

is trying to recreate the building itself which I  think is very clever but it is not very convincing  

so if you look carefully over there you can see  that they've tried to make it look as if the  

building is not having any renovation work when  clearly it is please excuse the crazy people with  

their dogs it would appear that we can't get away  from dogs if we're in much windlock we have crazy  

dogs all around us and here we are now hundreds  of miles away and still there are crazy dogs all  

all around us I would like to say that uh um  can I give a little um mention to the lovely  

restaurant that we just went to um we didn't we  just saw it it looked quite classy the Cafe Riv  

uh here in the Pia is was absolutely wonderful  uh the best lasagna we've tasted so far and we  

have tasted a lot of lasagnas we I can't believe  how many lasagnas we have eaten this is our third  

lasagna in 24 hours yes we had two yesterday this  one is so far is the best the coffee was the best  

the ice cream the gelato was the best yes let's  turn around and give it a little plug okay we we  

will show behind so there it is just behind  me now M I like the way Mr Steve is standing  

oh there it is so there that Cafe behind us there  that is where we were just and they have the most  

amazing lasagna the most amazing coffee and the  most amazing ice cream as well shall we say hello  

to Michael Angelo's David because I think of all  the things that have ever been created by mankind  

one of the most talked about sculptures in the  world must be the rendition of David of course  

you know the famous story David and Goliath he  is the young boy who slayed the giant called G  

you might say that it is a type of parable when  we describe something as a parable we mean that  

that thing is kind of giving a message it is  a story with a message or a moral for example  

so right behind us now you can see Michelangelo's  David Michelangelo David this is not the original  

though I think this is actually a copy of of  Michelangelo's David but you still get the  

impression that it is an amazing work of art  I've lost Mr Steve where is he oh there's Mr  

Steve back so we will be spending about another 3  hours here in Florence and then we will be going  

back to our hotel a few miles from here we had  a lovely journey by the way can I just give a  

big shout out to to the trains the Italian trains  they are absolutely incredible the trains here are  

amazing I absolutely love the trains so beautiful  silent clean and very much on time as well so  

thank you very much for the Italian train system  the railway system much better than ours in the UK  

by the way we might be live on Sunday on  Sunday from 2 pm Italy time we might be  

actually broadcasting live from the center of San  jimano so we will see what happens look out for

think we will wrap it up here in Florence where  everything started off rather strangely but now  

the sun has come out I don't know why you said  this didn't you Steve earlier you said maybe we  

are waiting for the sun to come out isn't that  strange I just sneezed one thing I've noticed  

is there's a lot of people sneezing yes I think  it's the hay fever but the strange thing is this  

is actually our second attempt at recording this  and the first time we did it Mr Steve also sneezed  

isn't that strange so we will be with you on  Sunday and hopefully we'll be live from San

jimano that's a very long o at the end of that  word Mr Duncan well nice nice to be here nice to  

uh record something for all you wonderful viewers  across the globe so watching Mr Duncan's channel  

so it did start off a little bit strange but Steve  said this is the point I wanted to make Steve said  

everything looks nicer or better when the sun is  out and the sun has now come out because when we  

arrived it was horrible it was all gray and it  even rained a couple of times but now the sun  

has come out and everything is looking rather  lovely so we will let you get on with your day  

carry on with what you are doing and hopefully  we will be with you live on Sunday from 2:
