even though I've just realised that the Much Wenlock clock is actually slightly

fast in fact it's slow it's three minutes slow can you believe it I can't

so according to the clock here in the town square

it is now one o'clock even though in reality it is actually three minutes

past one here in the UK and it's a special livestream with me mr. Duncan we

are now live I just want to make sure that you can hear me so can you hear me

doing a live broadcast from the centre of much Wenlock the place in which I

live I thought I would do something special today because it is two weeks

two weeks till Christmas and I don't know about you but I'm really really

excited because christmas is just around the corner you will see me in a moment

don't worry I am NOT going to hide from you we are going to take a look around

the town in which I live hopefully we will get to speak to some of the local

people if they want to speak to me of course maybe they don't who knows and

who can blame them so I hope you're okay today it is Tuesday there is nothing

wrong with your calendar don't worry it isn't Sunday it is Tuesday and it's just

after 1 o'clock here in the UK thanks a lot for all of your messages already

I've had lots of messages from many people saying hello mr. Duncan we can

hear you that's good and I'm very pleased to be here

on a very cold day it's chilly but at least it's not raining so I'm quite glad

that there isn't any rain so let's take a look around the place in which we are

in at the moment and then I will reveal myself to you in all my glory so here we

are we are now in much Wenlock and there you can see a live shot so we are now

broadcasting live across the worldwide web

so I hope you are enjoying this a nice surprise

only two weeks left before Christmas and that's the reason why I'm doing this

today I thought it would be a nice idea to do something a little different today

so here I am actually standing in the middle of Much Wenlock broadcasting to

you all live so I hope you are having a good day so far and also I hope you will

be able to stick with me for the rest of this live broadcast at the moment I am

slurping on some coffee because I need my energy so I went to one of my

favourite cafes here in which Wenlock the old smoothie and I had a lovely large

coffee so that's what I'm doing at the moment so if you can hear some slurping

the reason is because I'm slurping on my coffee and it's very nice it's well very

strong

one thing to mention the Christmas lights are not on at the moment they

don't come on they don't normally come on to later

so the Christmas lights will be on later so don't worry about that the Christmas

lights will be on but sadly during the daytime they don't put them on I guess

they are trying to save electricity that must be the reason why the Christmas

tree is standing just behind me in a moment you will get to see me don't

worry for those who are panicking we can't see

you mr. Duncan where are you as you can see it's very busy here in Much Wenlock

lots of people walking around some people doing their Christmas shopping at

the moment so there is a lot going on here in Much Wenlock a very tiny tab

tiny town it's not very big around five about five thousand people live here in

Much Wenlock so it's not a big place and I live just outside much well okay

we will now move to a different location and then I will reveal myself to you are

you ready to go for a walk with mr. Duncan look I hope so here we go so now

we are in the square the town square and don't forget this is all live you are

which I bought from from just over there a lovely little coffee shop and also a

place that sells tea and cakes as well so thank you very much to the old

smoothie for your for your delicious coffee which is keeping me going today I

will not lose my energy also because Christmas is on the way I have my tinsel

do you like my lovely tinsel there it is just

to bring a little bit of festive cheer to the live stream I am now standing in

front of the Christmas tree so behind me there is a large Christmas tree the only

thing I've noticed is that there is no fairy on top of the Christmas tree I

can't believe it they haven't put a fairy on top of the Christmas tree so if

anyone has a fairy that they would like to send to me

there are no decorations on the Christmas tree now I thought there would

aren't any so all they've put on the Christmas tree are the lights so there

or maybe you can eat some ham or if you are vegetarian you might have something

that has no meat whatsoever so it just depends really so yes I will

mr. steve-o quite a few people are asking where is mr. Steve sadly mr.

Steve is working at the moment so because it's a weekday and because it's

daytime mr. Steve is busy doing his work in fact he's gone away to a place called

Chester so Steve at the moment is in Chester many many miles away from here

unfortunately and yes before you ask yes I do miss him a lot

because he's not here this coffee is delicious this is coffee I'm drinking at

the moment because it's quite cold and I need my energy because I'm standing here

in Much Wenlock town centre do you watch the Queen's Speech on Christmas Day to

be honest I don't because normally I forget so because there are other things

happening on Christmas Day normally by by the time the Queen comes on the TV

with her speech I normally asleep after eating lots and lots of food hello

Chinese and Indian restaurants are everywhere they are yes but because this

town is very small there aren't many places to eat but like restaurants there

are many tea rooms but not many big restaurants so fortunately we have an

Chinese food because of course I used to live in China I lived in China for many

years before I came back here so it is a live stream the tinsel around my neck is

in Wales mr. Duncan have you ever been to Snowdonia I have I've been to

Snowdonia because they have a train that goes up to to the mountains so I have

been on the Snowdonia railway and it's amazing maybe one day I could do a video

maybe record an English lesson from the top of Snowdonia imagine that but yes

you are right Snowdonia is a huge mountain and

at this time of year it is covered in snow there was lots of snow around

having said that there is no snow here at the moment but who knows because this

weekend it's going to get very cold apparently the temperature is going to

drop so it's going to get very cold but the big question is will we get any snow

lovely here I love living here in January 2019 it will be my sixth year

six years living here and there is an interesting story that goes with the

reason why I moved here because way back in 2012 I made a lesson all about the

Olympic Games and for those who know something about Much Wenlock you will

know that here in Much Wenlock many many years ago the inspiration for the modern

Olympic Games took place so the reason why we have the modern Olympic Games is

because of this place much Wenlock we inspired it so that's the reason why we

now have the modern Olympic Games yes it's true and I made a lesson in 2012

all about it and I fell in love with the town I fell in love with it and so did

mr. Steve so we decided to see if it would be possible if it would be

possible to move and that's exactly what happened I will

people are buying lots of gifts for their friends and relations so there is

a little gift shop sometimes I go in here to buy my Christmas cards or

sometimes I buy wrapping paper to put on the presents yes for those who are

wondering yes I have got mr. Steve's gift I have bought it already so I've

been very well prepared this year for Christmas

and yes it's two weeks away are you excited for Christmas I know I am so as

I mentioned earlier I had a lovely delicious cup of coffee earlier and this

is where I bought it from I bought it from this place so this is the local

coffee shop now you might notice that all of the writing is back to front so I

will turn the camera around so you can see it properly so let me just let me

right way round so there is the local coffee shop so that's where I I bought

my coffee from this morning the old smoothy and that is a coffee shop here

in Much Wenlock town centre yes where are you at the moment asks an R I am in

the place in which I live I'm in much Wenlock here in England how much does

the coffee cost this morning I had a large americano with milk and sugar and

it was 2 pounds 50 so that's quite good and it was a very big coffee so the

coffee that I bought this morning was two pounds fifty so actually it was

quite good value to be honest I didn't think it was too bad and they have some

lovely staff working in here as well what do we have here oh this is the

salon this is a place where you can get your hair cut or of course I don't need

this place I don't need it because I have no hair so because I'm completely

bald or almost bald I don't need to go to this place

and back to the town square where you can see the Christmas decorations and

also the Christmas tree although I must admit I would love it if there was a big

ferry on top but at the moment there isn't even a ferry so if anyone has a

ferry that they can put on top of the Christmas tree please feel free please

feel free don't worry about it now I've just noticed that my battery is

starting to run low so what I'm going to do is I'm going to plug my charger

inside I hope I'm still there if not I'm in

trouble so I'm going to plug my battery charger and hopefully this will

alleviate the problem please bear with me

battery which should help to keep us going a little bit longer yes I'm here

very busy here today but there aren't many people here at all so I don't know

at the high street so I will just see how much battery power there is on my

moment they aren't on so they're not on so behind me you can see the High Street

so that there is much Wenlock High Street and there are some Christmas

lights and there is a lovely sign that says Merry Christmas isn't that nice

so at night all of this will be lit up with beautiful Christmas lights it looks

as if that car is going to run me over but don't worry it isn't honestly there

it goes so don't worry that the car isn't going to run me over for those who

are worried though there is the high street and once again you can see behind

me you can see the square which is now behind me so so now we have we have a

slightly different view of Much Wenlock I will be going in around about 10

minutes so in ten minutes I will be going so I'm only here for one hour for

long history dating back before 680 AD when an abbey was founded later to be

rebuilt as Wenlock Priory Much Wenlock can boast of its Olympic connections

through a Victorian son of wenlock's dr. William penny Brookes who founded the

Wenlock Olympian society and the Wenlock Olympian games in 1850 so the Olympian

games here in Much Wenlock have been taking place since 1850 throughout his

lifetime he campaigned for physical education in schools and for the revival

of the ancient Greek games so there just to prove it that is the connection

between Much Wenlock and the Olympic Games or should I say the

modern Olympic Games so now you know the reason why I was talking about that

earlier let's have a look at the live chat just say hello to some more people

Wenlock and England it's quite it's quite cool here at the moment

quite busy now here in which Wenlock a lot of people now starting to arrive so

it would appear that things are getting very busy now let's just have a look

behind me oh you can see over there there is a cyclist having a break and I

think he is going to go to the coffee shop let's see I think he's going to go

shop can you see there is the cyclist I think he's going for a cup of coffee

it's 2 weeks 2 weeks to go before Christmas arise

what is this Memorial Hall oh I see yes behind me

yes well it is a Memorial Hall but now they use it as a museum so yes let me

just show you behind me so you can see here there is what they call a Memorial

Hall but these days it is used as a museum so even though in the past people

used to meet here and they used to have celebrations and parties and for a while

this was also used as a cinema so they used to actually show movies here at the

place behind me but these days it is used as a museum so it is no longer used

for parties or celebrations how long does it take to walk to town from your

house it takes about 25 minutes about 25 minutes to walk from my house to the

town centre which is where I am right now so I will be going in five minutes

what sort of museum is the building well the museum behind me features lots of

exhibits all about the history of Much Wenlock and there are many reasons why

this area is important not only because of the olympic game connection but also

there is a lot of historical things to look at around here there is the old

Abbey which is just around the corner there are also some interesting

archaeology archaeology sites it's not very easy to say when you're cold

archaeology is not an easy word to say when you are freezing cold

it is Tuesday today and that means that the Much Wenlock market is open so as

you can see just behind me the Much Wenlock market is open for business

the farmers market every Tuesday you can go into this place and you can buy lots

and lots of lovely vegetables fresh fresh vegetables and all sorts of things

so the Christmas market is behind me but normally during the normal time of year

they call it the farmers market but at the moment people are stocking up on

their Christmas vegetables on their turnips and on their Swedes and carrots

and potatoes how about introducing as some day I mean live I don't know what

that means Pedro I don't know what you mean by that

well I'm live at the moment I'm talking to you live right now I really like the

red color my friend says Ivan oh thank you very

much for that well I'm wearing red today because Christmas is on the way so it's

exactly two weeks to go before Christmas arrives and now there are lots of people

behind me getting ready for Christmas they are doing their Christmas shopping

buying all their lovely gifts for their friends and relative 3 minutes and then

I will go oh I see Pedro wants me to go inside the museum to show you the inside

well I probably can't do it today because it's closed it's not open so

during the summer months the museum is open every day but during the winter the

museum isn't open so at the moment the museum is actually closed

because it is winter and there aren't many people visiting at the moment

having said that during the summer we get lots and lots of people coming here

they all arrive and they look around and they go to the tea rooms and they buy

lots of little souvenirs to remind them of their time here in Much Wenlock so I

might notice the the church just behind me there it is there is the church Holy

Trinity Church is just behind me for those who are wondering where it is so I
