On the mountain of the Martyrs - It’s time to learn English - At Montmartre in Paris

So here we are with another short English lesson

and do you recognize the building we are looking at now?

It is a very special place a very sacred place

This is 'Montmartre' the mountain of the martyrs

but where am I?

I am here overlooking the beautiful Paris Skyline.

Look at that this is one of the best places in Paris

to actually see Paris from high up.

Well I think it's here and also our hotel room,

which is also quite high up as well.

Sometimes I think I am a little bit of a martyr...

you know why?

because I give everything to my English Channel

I am a martyr to YouTube

I think it's fair to say so if you ever

get a chance to come to Paris

I suggest that you should come also

to the mountain of the martyrs

Montmartre here in Paris.

There are by the way many French words

that we use in English and we will

be looking at those over the next few days

during my time here in Paris
