How to Say Ship or Sheep | Pronunciation /i:/ vs /I/

Welcome to Super Quick English Lesson number two.

Alright, so today we are looking at two vowel sounds.

Let's start off with the long sound.

Iniziamo con il suono lungo.

Now I do that with my hands to remind myself that it's a long sound.

Now if you watch, my lips and my mouth go outwards and it's open mouth so, like that.

Now let's think of some words that have this sound.

We have 'me', we have 'see', 'tea', 'money' 'receive' so many.

Let's look at the short sound.

Now this time my lips and mouth don't go outwards they stay quite still and quite central.

Let's look at some words that have that sound.

A word that has both sounds is 'Kimchee' the Korean pickled cabbage.

Ok, so let's try say that, so it's 'Kim' 'Chee' If you use your hands it will help you to
