In this video, I'm going to teach you basic English numbers from zero to 100.

I will also give some tips about English pronunciation and spelling.

I am going to teach how to say the English numbers 20 to 100.

First, let's just go up by 10.

ပထမဦးစွာ 10 နဲ့ တက်လိုက်ရအောင်။

Please listen carefully and repeat after me.

Pronunciation is very important for this part.

ဤအပိုင်းအတွက် အသံထွက်သည် အလွန်အရေးကြီးပါသည်။

Now when we say these numbers fast, the  T sound on the end part is often reduced.

Listen to that second syllable T  sound as I say, the numbers faster.

Now let's focus on how we say  every number from 20 to 100. 

အခု ဂဏန်း 20 မှ 100 ကို ဘယ်လိုပြောမလဲ ဆိုတာကို အာရုံစိုက်ကြည့်ရအောင်။

I'm not going to say every number, but I will teach you the pattern

ဂဏန်းတိုင်းကို မပြောပါဘူး၊ ဒါပေမယ့်

so you will know how to say any number between 20 and 100.

နံပါတ် 20 နဲ့ 100 ကြားမှာ ဘယ်ဂဏန်းကို ဘယ်လိုပြောရမလဲဆိုတာကို သင်သိလာပါလိမ့်မယ်။

I am going to talk about some confusing pronunciation with numbers between 10 and 100.

First, the numbers 12 and 20 often confuse my students,

so please be sure not to confuse saying or writing these numbers.

Next, the numbers ending in ‘-teen’  and the numbers ending in ‘-ty’

can be confusing if not pronounced correctly.

It is important to keep practicing these numbers.

Let's have a little more practice  saying the numbers zero to 100.

You will see a random number on the screen, and  I want you to try and save the number quickly  and correctly.

I just want to talk a little bit about spelling.

စာလုံးပေါင်းအကြောင်း နည်းနည်းပြောပြချင်ပါတယ်။

Part of learning English numbers is also learning about the spelling.

အင်္ဂလိပ်စာလေ့လာခြင်းရဲ့ တစ်စိတ်တစ်ပိုင်းကတော့ စာလုံးပေါင်းသတ်ပုံအကြောင်း လေ့လာခြင်းဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

Let's look at a number like 45.

45 ကဲ့သို့ ဂဏန်းကို ကြည့်ကြပါစို့။

Normally, you just write the number.

ပုံမှန်အားဖြင့် ဂဏန်းကိုသာ ရေးပါ။

For example, on a form or document you might see the question:

ဥပမာအားဖြင့်၊ ဖောင်တစ်ခု သို့မဟုတ် စာရွက်စာတမ်းတစ်ခုတွင် သင်သည်

"How old are you?"

"အသက်ဘယ်လောက်ရှိပြီလဲ။

You just put, "I'm 45." or "45."

"ငါ 45" လို့သာ ရေးပြလိုက်တယ်။ သို့မဟုတ် "45"

Just write the number.

နံပါတ်လေးရေးလိုက်ရုံပါပဲ။

But if you do need to write it the full number using words,

ဒါပေမယ့် စကားလုံးတွေသုံးပြီး ဂဏန်းအပြည့်ရေးဖို့လိုရင်

be sure to use correct spelling and form.

မှန်ကန်တဲ့စာလုံးပေါင်းနဲ့ ပုံစံကို သေချာသုံးပါ။

For example, a number like 45  has a hyphen between 40 and 5. 

ဥပမာအားဖြင့်၊ 45 ကဲ့သို့သော ဂဏန်းတစ်ခုတွင် 40 နှင့် 5 ကြားတွင် တုံးတိုပါရှိသည်

And forty is not the same as four or fourteen.

။ လေးဆယ်သည် လေးခု သို့မဟုတ် ဆယ့်လေးခုနှင့် မတူပါ။

There is no ‘u’ in forty.

လေးဆယ်မှာ 'မင်း' မရှိဘူး။

Please remember to practice spelling  when learning English numbers. 

အင်္ဂလိပ်စာ ဂဏန်းတွေကို လေ့လာတဲ့အခါ စာလုံးပေါင်းသတ်ပုံလေ့ကျင့်ဖို့ မမေ့ပါနဲ့။

and try to increase your speed in saying these numbers.

And don't forget spelling is important too.
