Hi, everybody.

नमस्कार मंडळी.

In this video, we’re going to talk about adjectives.

या व्हिडिओमध्ये आपण विशेषणांबद्दल बोलणार आहोत.

Now, we use adjectives to describe nouns or things.

आता, आम्ही संज्ञा किंवा गोष्टींचे वर्णन करण्यासाठी विशेषण वापरतो.

Okay, we can describe its size, its color, its shape or other things like that.

ठीक आहे, आपण त्याचा आकार, त्याचा रंग, त्याचा आकार किंवा त्यासारख्या इतर गोष्टींचे वर्णन करू शकतो.

Okay.

ठीक आहे.

So let’s take a look at the board.

चला तर मग बोर्ड बघूया.

The first noun we’re going to use is ‘marker’.

आपण वापरणार असलेली पहिली संज्ञा 'मार्कर' आहे.

“It’s a marker.”

"हे एक मार्कर आहे."

Now, I want to use an adjective to describe the color.

आता, मला रंगाचे वर्णन करण्यासाठी एक विशेषण वापरायचे आहे.

I'm going to say, “It’s a ‘black’ marker.”

मी म्हणणार आहे, "हे एक 'ब्लॅक' मार्कर आहे."

‘Black’ is the adjective.

'काळा' हे विशेषण आहे.

Now notice, I have to put the adjective after the article ‘a’, but before the noun ‘marker’.

आता लक्षात घ्या, मला लेख 'अ' नंतर विशेषण लावावे लागेल, परंतु 'चिन्हका'च्या आधी.

“It’s a black marker.”

"तो एक काळा मार्कर आहे."

Now, I can use another adjective to describe its size.

“It’s a long marker.”

"हे एक लांब मार्कर आहे."

Okay.

Let’s try the next one.

ठीक आहे.

Here we have a bird.

So, “It’s a bird.”

Okay.

I want to use another adjective to describe the color.

So, I’m going to say, “It’s a blue bird.”

तर, मी म्हणणार आहे, "हा निळा पक्षी आहे."

Again, you have to put the adjective after the article, before the noun.

पुन्हा, तुम्हाला विशेषण लेखाच्या नंतर, संज्ञाच्या आधी लावावे लागेल.

I can also describe its size.

मी त्याच्या आकाराचे वर्णन देखील करू शकतो.

“It’s a small bird.”

"तो एक छोटा पक्षी आहे."

‘Small’ is another adjective.

'स्मॉल' हे दुसरे विशेषण आहे.

Now, at the last part, we have some apples.

आता, शेवटच्या भागात, आपल्याकडे काही सफरचंद आहेत.

Three apples.

तीन सफरचंद.

Okay, remember, when we have more than one noun, it’s called a plural noun.

ठीक आहे, लक्षात ठेवा, जेव्हा आपल्याकडे एकापेक्षा जास्त संज्ञा असतात तेव्हा त्याला अनेकवचनी संज्ञा म्हणतात.

So, we have to say, “They’re apples.”, with an ‘s’.

तर, आपल्याला 'ते' सफरचंद आहेत असे म्हणायचे आहे.

“They’re apples.”

"ते सफरचंद आहेत."

I want to use the adjective ‘red’ to describe the color of these apples.

या सफरचंदांच्या रंगाचे वर्णन करण्यासाठी मला 'लाल' हे विशेषण वापरायचे आहे.

So, I’m going to say, “They’re red apples.”

तर, मी म्हणणार आहे, "ते लाल सफरचंद आहेत."

Okay.

ठीक आहे.

Here, there’s no article.

येथे, कोणताही लेख नाही.

There’s no ‘a’.

तेथे 'अ' नाही.

That’s because there’s more than one.

कारण एकापेक्षा जास्त आहेत.

“They’re red apples.”

"ते लाल सफरचंद आहेत."

So, I just have to put the adjective before the noun that it’s describing.

म्हणून, मला फक्त ते वर्णन करत असलेल्या नामाच्या आधी विशेषण लावावे लागेल.

“They’re red apples.”

"ते लाल सफरचंद आहेत."

Okay, let’s move on to some more examples.

ठीक आहे, चला आणखी काही उदाहरणांकडे जाऊया.

Okay. Now we’re going to practice asking and answering questions using adjectives.

So, we have a man here.

तर, आमच्याकडे एक माणूस आहे.

I want to ask, “Is he a small man?”

मला विचारायचे आहे, "तो लहान माणूस आहे का?"

Okay.

ठीक आहे.

We have the adjective ‘small’.

आपल्याकडे 'लहान' हे विशेषण आहे.

Notice, even in a question,

लक्ष द्या, एखाद्या प्रश्नातही

we have to put the adjective after the article and before the noun.

आपल्याला लेखाच्या नंतर आणि नामाच्या आधी विशेषण लावावे लागते.

“Is he a small man?”

"तो लहान माणूस आहे का?"

Well, let’s take a look at this picture.

बरं, या चित्राकडे एक नजर टाकूया.

The answer is, “No, he’s a _____ man.”

उत्तर आहे, "नाही, तो एक _____ माणूस आहे."

We need another adjective.

आम्हाला आणखी एक विशेषण आवश्यक आहे.

He’s not a small man.

तो काही लहान माणूस नाही.

So, we have to say “No, he’s a…

म्हणून, आम्हाला म्हणायचे आहे "नाही, तो एक

big man.”

मोठा माणूस आहे."

Okay.

ठीक आहे.

We’re going to use the adjective ‘big’.

आपण 'मोठा' हे विशेषण वापरणार आहोत.

Okay, let’s look at the next one.

ठीक आहे, पुढचे पाहू.

“Is it a _____ table?”

"ते _____ टेबल आहे का?"

The answer is “Yes, it is.”

उत्तर "होय, ते आहे."

We need an adjective to describe color, shape or size or something.

रंग, आकार किंवा आकार किंवा कशाचेही वर्णन करण्यासाठी आम्हाला विशेषण आवश्यक आहे.

Well, we can’t really describe the color.

बरं, आम्ही खरोखर रंगाचे वर्णन करू शकत नाही.

So, I think we should try the shape.

Okay.

Well, “Is it a….

And the answer is “Yes, it is.”

Okay, and last, we have two dresses.

Okay. So that means the noun is plural.

In that case, for the questions, we begin with ‘are’.

blue dresses.”

Okay.

ठीक आहे.

“No, they’re…blue dresses.”

"नाही, ते... निळे कपडे आहेत."

Okay.

ठीक आहे.
