I'm so excited to be teaching you the  present continuous tense in this video.

이 동영상에서 현재 진행 시제를 가르치게 되어 매우 기쁩니다.

This tense is used to describe: an action that's happening right now,

이 시제는 현재 일어나고 있는 행동,

a longer action in progress , and something happening in the near future.

진행 중인 더 긴 행동, 그리고 가까운 미래에 일어날 일을 설명하는 데 사용됩니다.

There's a lot to learn, but don't worry I'll guide you through it.

배울 것이 많지만 걱정하지 마세요. 제가 안내해 드리겠습니다.

Let's get started.

시작하자.

The present continuous tense is used to talk  about actions that are happening right now.

현재진행형은 바로 지금 일어나고 있는 행동에 대해 말할 때 사용합니다.

For example,

예를 들어,

‘I'm teaching English’ and ‘You are studying English.’

'저는 영어를 가르치고 있습니다.'와 ' 당신은 영어를 공부하고 있습니다.'

Let's take a look at some more examples.

몇 가지 예를 더 살펴보겠습니다.

The first sentence says, ‘He is watching a movie’.

첫 문장은 '그는 영화를 보고 있다'입니다.

We start with the subject and a ‘be’ verb.

우리는 주어와 'be'동사로 시작합니다.

In this case, the subject is ‘he’.

이때 주어는 '그'입니다.

For ‘he’ / ‘she’ and ‘it’,  we use the ‘be’ verb ‘is’.

'he' / 'she' 및 'it'의 경우 'be' 동사 'is'를 사용합니다.

Then you'll notice I added an ‘-ing’  to the end of the verb ‘watch’.

그러면 내가 동사 'watch' 끝에 '-ing'을 추가했음을 알 수 있습니다 .

‘He is watching a movie.’

'그는 영화를 보고 있다.'

The next sentence says, ‘Tim is playing a computer game.’

다음 문장은 '팀이 컴퓨터 게임을 하고 있다.'라고 말합니다.

He's doing that right now.

그는 지금 그것을 하고 있습니다.

Tim is a ‘he’, therefore, again  we use the ‘be’ verb ‘is’.

Tim은 'he'이므로 다시 'be' 동사 'is'를 사용합니다.

And again you'll notice I added  ‘-ing’ to the end of the verb.

그리고 다시 동사 끝에 '-ing'을 추가했음을 알 수 있습니다.

The next sentence says,

다음 문장은

‘The machine is making a noise.’

'The machine is making a noise'입니다.

Now pay attention to the subject, ‘the machine’.

이제 주어인 'the machine'에 주목하세요.

What is the proper pronoun?

적절한 대명사는 무엇입니까?

The answer is ‘it’, therefore  we use the ‘be’ verb ‘is’.

대답은 'it'이므로 'be' 동사 'is'를 사용합니다.

‘The machine is making a noise.’

'기계에서 소리가 난다'.

We can also say, ‘It is making a noise’. Or the contraction, ‘It's making a noise’.

'소리가 난다'라고도 말할 수 있습니다. 또는 축음기, 'It's making a noise'.

And finally, ‘Tom and Ben are speaking English’.

그리고 마지막으로 'Tom and Ben are speak English'.

In this case, you'll notice  that we use the ‘be’ verb ‘are’.

이 경우 'be' 동사 'are'를 사용한다는 것을 알 수 있습니다.

Can you figure out why?

이유를 알 수 있습니까?

That's because Tom and Ben - the subject pronoun for these two is ‘they’.

Tom과 Ben은 이 둘의 주어 대명사가 'they'이기 때문입니다.

‘They are speaking English.’

'그들은 영어를 말하고 있습니다.'

Let's move on to the next usage.

다음 사용법으로 넘어갑시다.

The present continuous tense is also used to describe a longer action in progress.

현재 진행 시제는 진행 중인 더 긴 동작을 설명하는 데에도 사용됩니다.

Even though you might not be  doing the action right now.

지금은 작업을 수행하지 않을 수도 있습니다.

Let's take a look at some examples.

몇 가지 예를 살펴보겠습니다.

The first sentence says,

첫 번째 문장은

‘I'm reading an interesting book these days.’

'요즘 재미있는 책을 읽고 있어요'입니다.

In this case, the subject is  ‘I’, so the ‘be’ verb is ‘am’.

이 경우 주어가 'I'이므로 'be'동사는 'am'입니다.

In this example, we use the contraction  ‘I'm’ by putting ‘I’ and ‘am’ together.

이 예에서는 'I'와 'am'을 결합하여 축약형 'I'm'을 사용합니다.

Again, you'll notice there's  an ‘-ing’ after the verb.

다시 말하지만, 동사 뒤에 '-ing'이 있음을 알 수 있습니다.

The next sentence says,

다음 문장은

‘You are studying to become an English teacher.’

'당신은 영어 선생님이 되기 위해 공부하고 있습니다'입니다.

The subject here is ‘you’,

여기서 주어는 'you'

therefore the ‘be’ verb is ‘are’.

이므로 'be' 동사는 'are'입니다.

Next, ‘Steven is preparing for the IELTS exam.’

다음으로 'Steven은 IELTS 시험을 준비하고 있습니다.'

The subject here is ‘Steven’ which is a ‘he’,

여기서 주어는 'he'인 'Steven'

therefore we use the ‘be’ verb ‘is’.

이므로 'be'동사 'is'를 사용합니다.

And finally, ‘John and June are working at a company.’

그리고 마지막으로 'John and June are working at a company'입니다. 주어

If you look at the subject ‘John and June’, the pronoun for that is ‘they’.

'John and June'을 보면 대명사가 'they'입니다.

That's why we use the ‘be’ verb ‘are’.

그래서 우리는 'be'동사 'are'를 사용합니다.

‘They are working at a company.’

'그들은 회사에서 일하고 있습니다.'

Let's move on to the next usage.

다음 사용법으로 넘어갑시다.

The present continuous is also used  to talk about near future plans.

현재 진행형은 가까운 미래 계획에 대해 이야기할 때도 사용됩니다. 한 번

Let's take a look.

보자.

‘She is meeting some friends tonight.’

'그녀는 오늘 밤 친구들을 만날 예정입니다.'

That's going to happen in the near future.

그것은 가까운 미래에 일어날 것입니다.

You'll notice that we have 'she', so the ‘be’ verb is ‘is’.

'she'가 있으므로 'be' 동사는 'is'입니다.

And then we added an ‘-ing’ to the end of the verb ‘meet’.

그리고 동사 '만나다' 끝에 '-ing'을 붙였습니다 .

The next example says, ‘We are going on vacation in July.’

다음 예는 'We are going on vacation in July'입니다.

The subject here is ‘we’, therefore we use the ‘be’ verb ‘are’.

여기서 주어는 'we'이므로 'be' 동사 'are'를 사용합니다.

We can also use a contraction and say, ‘We're going on vacation in July.’

축약형을 사용하여 'We're going on vacation in July'라고 말할 수도 있습니다.

Again, another near future plan.

다시 말하지만 가까운 미래의 계획입니다.

The next example says,

다음 예는

‘David is learning to drive tomorrow.’

'David는 내일 운전하는 법을 배우고 있습니다.'라고 말합니다.

‘tomorrow’ is the near future.

'내일'은 가까운 미래입니다.

‘David’ is the subject.

'다윗'이 주제입니다.

‘David’ is a ‘he’, so we use ‘is’.

'David'는 'he'이므로 'is'를 사용합니다.

And lastly, ‘Vicki and I are teaching English next week.’

그리고 마지막으로 '비키와 나는 다음 주에 영어를 가르친다.' '

‘Vicky and I’… If we think about the subject pronoun is ‘we’.

비키와 나'… 주제 대명사를 생각해보면 '우리'다.

That's why we used ‘are’. ‘We are teaching.’

그래서 '있다'를 사용했습니다. '우리는 가르치고 있습니다.'

Let's move on.

다음으로 넘어갑시다.

Now let's talk about the negative  form of the present continuous tense.

이제 현재진행형의 부정형에 대해 이야기해 봅시다.

I have some examples here.

여기에 몇 가지 예가 있습니다.

These two examples are for actions that are happening right now, or longer actions.

이 두 가지 예는 바로 지금 발생하는 작업 또는 더 긴 작업에 대한 것입니다.

These last two are for near future plans.

이 마지막 두 가지는 가까운 미래의 계획을 위한 것입니다. 한 번

Let's take a look.

The first sentence says, ‘I am not having fun.’

첫 번째 문장은 'I am not having fun'입니다.

Now that's not true for me because I am having fun,

지금은 재미있기 때문에 사실이 아니지만

but in this example I am not having fun.

이 예에서는 재미가 없습니다.

You'll notice that the word ‘not’ goes  between the ‘be’ verb and the ‘verb -ing’.

'not'이라는 단어가 ' be' 동사와 '동사 -ing' 사이에 있음을 알 수 있습니다.

In the second example it says, ‘Jane isn't doing her homework.’

두 번째 예에서는 ' Jane은 숙제를 하고 있지 않습니다'라고 되어 있습니다.

Here we use the contraction ‘isn't’ for ‘is not’,

여기서는 'is not'을 축약형 'is't'로 사용하므로

so just like the first sentence, we put ‘not’ between ‘is’ and ‘verb -ing’.

첫 번째 문장과 마찬가지로 'is'와 'not ' 사이에 'not'을 넣습니다. '동사 -ing'.

The next sentence says, ‘You're not seeing him tonight.’

다음 문장은 'You're not see him tonight'입니다.

Here we have a contraction for ‘you are’.

여기서는 'you are'에 대한 축약형이 있습니다.

‘You're not seeing him tonight.’

'당신은 오늘밤 그를 만나지 않을 것입니다.'

And finally, ‘We are not running tomorrow morning.’

그리고 마지막으로 ' 우리는 내일 아침에 뛰지 않을 것입니다.'

Here we have the subject ‘we’, therefore, we use the ‘be’ verb ‘are’.

여기에 주어 'we'가 있으므로 'be' 동사 'are'를 사용합니다. 부정적으로 만들기 위해

Don’t forget to add a ‘not’ after that to make it negative.

그 뒤에 'not'을 추가하는 것을 잊지 마세요 .

Now let's talk about how to form ‘be’ verb  questions in the present continuous tense.

이제 현재 진행 시제로 'be' 동사 의문문을 만드는 방법에 대해 이야기해 봅시다 .

The first example here says,

여기서 첫 번째 예는

‘Is he waiting for you?’

'그가 당신을 기다리고 있나요?'

or ‘Is he waiting for you?’

또는 '그가 당신을 기다리고 있나요?'입니다.

We start with the ‘be’ verb.

우리는 'be' 동사로 시작합니다.

Take a look at the subject though.

그래도 주제를 살펴보십시오.

The subject is ‘he’ and that's why we start with the ‘be’ verb ‘is’.

주어는 'he'이므로 'be'동사 'is'로 시작합니다. '

‘Is he waiting for you?’

그가 당신을 기다리고 있나요?'

You can answer, ‘Yes, he is.’ or ‘No he isn't.’

'예, 그는 있습니다.' 또는 '아니요'라고 대답할 수 있습니다.

The second sentence says,

두 번째 문장은 '

‘Are you coming to class?’

수업에 오시나요?'입니다.

The subject here is ‘you’ and  that's why we start with ‘are’.

여기서 주어는 '당신 '이고 우리가 '있다'로 시작하는 이유. '

‘Are you coming to class?’

수업에 오고 있니?' '

You can answer, ‘Yes I am.’ or ‘No, I'm not.’

예, 아니오'로 대답하면

The next question says, ‘Is he preparing to study in Canada?’

다음 질문은 ' 그는 캐나다 유학을 준비하고 있습니까?'로

The subject is ‘he’, and so we start with ‘is’.

주어는 '그'이고, 그래서 우리는 'is'로 시작합니다.

The answer can be, ‘Yes, he is.’ or it can also be ‘No, he isn't.’

대답은 '예, 그는 있습니다.' 또는 '아니오, 그는 그렇지 않습니다.'일 수도 있습니다.

Finally the last question says, ‘Are they going out tonight?’

The subject here is ‘they’, and so we start with ‘are’.

The answer can be ‘Yes, they are.’ or ‘No, they aren't.’

Now let's talk about the WH question  form for the present continuous tense.

이제 현재 진행 시제에 대한 WH 질문 형식에 대해 이야기해 보겠습니다.

I have some examples here

여기에 몇 가지 예가 있으며

and you'll notice that we start with the WH questions:

what, where, when, who, why, and how.

무엇을, 어디서, 언제, 누가, 왜, 어떻게 WH 질문으로 시작한다는 것을 알 수 있습니다.

What comes after?

뒤에 오는 것은 무엇입니까?

You'll notice it's the ‘be’ verbs: ‘are’, ‘is’, and if the subject is ‘I’, ‘am’.

'be' 동사인 'are', 'is', 주어가 'I'인 경우 'am'이라는 것을 알 수 있습니다.

So after that you have the subject and then the verb -ing.

그래서 그 뒤에 주어와 동사 -ing가 있습니다.

Let's take a look at the first sentence.

첫 번째 문장부터 살펴보자.

‘What are you doing?’

'뭐하고 있어?'

I'm asking about right now.

지금 물어보는 거야.

For example, ‘I'm teaching English.’

예를 들어, '나는 영어를 가르치고 있어.' '

‘Where are you going?’ ‘I'm going to the store.’

어디 가니?' ' 나는 가게에 갈거야.' '

‘When is it starting?’ ‘It's starting at 3.’

언제 시작하니?' ' 3시부터야.'

I can be talking about a movie a show anything can be ‘it’.

나는 영화 이야기를 할 수 있다. 무엇이든 '그것'이 될 수 있음을 보여주세요. '

‘Who is she talking to?’ ‘She's talking to Bob.’

그녀는 누구와 이야기하고 있습니까?' ' 그녀는 Bob과 이야기하고 있습니다.' '그녀는

‘Why is she crying?’ ‘She's crying because she's sad.’

왜 울고 있습니까?' ' 그녀는 슬퍼서 울고 있습니다.'

And finally, ‘How is it going?’ ‘It's going well.’

그리고 마지막으로 '어떻게 지내십니까?' ' 잘 지내고 있습니다.'

For this checkup of the present continuous tense,

이번 검진을 위해 현재 진행 시제를 사용하여 현재 진행 중인 작업을 설명하는

we'll look at how this tense can be used to  describe an action that's happening right now.

데 이 시제가 어떻게 사용되는지 살펴보겠습니다 .

Let's take a look at the first sentence.

첫 번째 문장부터 살펴보자.

‘You -blank- learning English.’

You -blank- learning English.'

Remember for this tense, we start  with the subject and the ‘be’ verb

이 시제에 대해 기억하세요. 주어와 'be' 동사로 시작

and then the verb ‘-ing’.

하고 '-ing' 동사로 시작합니다.

We already have the verb ‘-ing’ here, so we need the ‘be’ verb.

여기에 이미 동사 '-ing'이 있으므로 'be' 동사가 필요합니다.

The subject in the first sentence is ‘you’.

첫 문장의 주어는 'you'입니다.

For ‘you’, ‘we’, and ‘they’,  we use the ‘be’ verb - ‘are’,

'you', 'we', 'they'에는 'be' 동사인 'are'를 사용하므로

so the correct answer is,

정답은

‘You are learning English’ right now.

'You are learning English right now'입니다.

The next sentence says,

다음 문장은

‘She _blank_ not watching TV.’

'She _blank_ not looking TV'입니다.

This is the negative form of  the present continuous tense.

이것은 현재 진행형의 부정형입니다 .

We have the word ‘not’ before the verb ‘-ing’,

동사 '-ing' 앞에 'not'이라는 단어가

However, we're missing the ‘be’ verb again.

있지만 'be' 동사가 또 빠졌습니다. 주어가 'she'인 경우

What is the be verb to use  if the subject is ‘she’?

사용할 be 동사는 무엇입니까 ?

the correct answer is ‘is’.

정답은 '이다'입니다.

‘She is not watching TV.’

'그녀는 TV를 보고 있지 않습니다.'

This one says, ‘I _blank_ studying now.’

이것은 '나는 지금 공부하고 있습니다.'라고 말합니다.

The subject here is ‘I’.

여기서 주어는 '나'입니다.

Again think of the ‘be’ verb that goes before the subject ‘I’.

다시 주어 'I' 앞에 오는 'be'동사를 생각해보십시오 .

The ‘be’ verb is ‘am’.

'be'동사는 'am'입니다. '

‘I am studying now.’

나는 지금 공부하고 있어.'

We can also use a contraction and say, ‘I'm studying now’

우리는 또한 축약형을 사용하여 ' 나는 지금 공부하고 있어'라고 말할 수 있습니다

If we wanted to turn this into the negative form,

. 이것을 부정적인 형태로 바꾸고 싶다면

we can also say, ‘I'm not studying now.’

'나는 지금 공부하고 있지 않아'라고 말할 수도 있습니다

Now, take a look at the next  sentence and find the mistake.

. 다음 문장을 보고 틀린 부분을 찾으세요.

‘Layla is watch a movie.’

'Layla is watch a movie.'

Here we have the subject and the subject pronoun for Layla would be ‘she’.

여기에 주어가 있고 Layla의 주어 대명사는 'she'가 됩니다.

We have the correct ‘be’ verb - ‘is’,

올바른 'be' 동사인 'is'가 있습니다.

However, you'll notice we forgot  the ‘-ing’ at the end of the verb.

하지만 동사 끝에 있는 '-ing'을 잊어버렸습니다.

We need to say, ‘watching’.

우리는 '보고 있다'고 말해야 합니다.

‘Layla is watching a movie.’

'Layla는 영화를 보고 있습니다.'

The next sentence says,

다음 문장은

‘They playing soccer now.’

'그들은 지금 축구를 하고 있습니다.'

What's missing?

무엇이 빠졌습니까?

If you got it the correct answer is we need the ‘be’ verb – ‘are’

정답을 맞히셨다면 주어가 ' they'이기 때문에 'be' 동사가 필요하다는 것입니다

because the subject is ‘they’.

. '

‘They are playing soccer now.’

그들은 지금 축구를 하고 있습니다.'

And finally, ‘What do you do?’

그리고 마지막으로 ' 무슨 일을 하시나요?'

If you want to ask somebody  what they're doing right now,

누군가에게 지금 무엇을 하고 있는지 물어보고 싶다면

you say, 'what’... and the ‘be’ verb – ‘are... you.. doing?’

'무엇'... 그리고 'be' 동사 – '는 ... 너.. 뭐해?' '

‘What are you doing?’

뭐해?'

For this checkup we'll talk about the present continuous tense

이 검진을 위해 우리는 현재 진행 시제

and how it can be used to describe an action that started in the past and continues today.

와 과거에 시작되어 오늘날까지 계속되는 행동을 설명하는 데 어떻게 사용될 수 있는지에 대해 이야기할 것입니다.

It's a longer action.

더 긴 동작입니다.

Let's take a look at the first sentence.

첫 번째 문장부터 살펴보자.

‘He _blank_ studying economics.’

'그는 경제학을 공부하고 있습니다.'

Remember for this tense, we take the  subject, a ‘be’ verb, and then verb ‘-ing’.

이 시제는 주어 , 'be'동사, 그리고 동사 '-ing'을 취한다는 점을 기억하세요.

Here we already have the verb ‘-ing’, ‘studying’.

여기에 이미 동사 '-ing', 'studying'이 있습니다.

So what are we missing?

그래서 우리는 무엇을 놓치고 있습니까?

The ‘be’ verb.

'있다'동사.

The correct ‘be’ verb for  the subject ‘he’ is ‘is’.

주어 'he'의 올바른 'be' 동사는 'is'입니다.

So, ‘He is studying economics.’

그래서 '그는 경제학을 공부하고 있습니다.'

The next sentence says, ‘They're _blank_ for the fight.’

다음 문장은 '그들은 _blank_ for the fight'입니다.

The verb we want to use is ‘train’.

우리가 사용할 동사는 'train'입니다.

Now we already have the 'be' verb here.

이제 우리는 이미 여기에 'be'동사를 가지고 있습니다.

It's in the contraction ‘there’  because it's ‘they are’.

축약형 'there'는 'they are'이기 때문입니다.

All we have to do now is add ‘-ing’ to the verb.

이제 동사에 '-ing'을 추가하기만 하면 됩니다.

‘They're training for the fight these days.’

'그들은 요즘 싸움을 위해 훈련하고 있습니다.'

And ‘We _blank_ teaching at the school.’

그리고 '우리는 학교에서 _blank_ 가르치고 있습니다.'

Again we're missing the ‘be’ verb.

다시 'be' 동사가 빠졌습니다.

What is the ‘be’ verb for ‘we’?

'우리'의 'be'동사는 무엇입니까?

The correct answer is ‘are’.

정답은 '있다'입니다.

‘We are teaching at the school.’

'우리는 학교에서 가르치고 있습니다.'

Now let's look for the  mistakes in the next sentence.

이제 다음 문장에서 실수를 찾아봅시다.

‘Ben is study to become a doctor.’

'벤은 의사가 되기 위해 공부한다.'

Can you find the error?

오류를 찾을 수 있나요?

Well we have the subject and we have the proper ‘be verb’.

우리는 주제가 있고 적절한 'be 동사'가 있습니다.

What we're missing is the ‘-ing’ at the end of ‘study’.

우리가 놓치고 있는 것은 'study' 끝에 있는 '-ing'입니다.

The correct answer is, ‘Ben is studying to become a doctor’.

정답은 'Ben은 의사가 되기 위해 공부하고 있습니다'입니다.

Let's look at the next sentence.

다음 문장을 봅시다.

‘I don't reading that book.’

'I don't read that book.'

hmm

흠 '

‘I don't reading that book.’

I don't read that book.'

To form the negative in the present continuous, we don't use ‘do’ or ‘does’

현재진행형에서 부정형을 만들려면 'do'나 'does'를 사용하지 않고

We use the ‘be’ verb. What is the be verb for ‘I’?

'be' 동사를 사용합니다. '나'의 be 동사는 무엇입니까?

The correct answer is ‘am’.

정답은 '오'입니다.

‘I am not reading that book.’

'나는 그 책을 읽고 있지 않습니다.' '

There is no contraction for ‘am not’.

아닙니다'에 대한 축약형은 없습니다.

Finally, ‘They are to learn English.’

마지막으로 '그들은 영어를 배워야 합니다.'

We have the subject and we have the correct ‘be’ verb,

우리는 주어와 올바른 동사 'be'를 가지고

but remember we need verb ‘-ing’.

있지만 동사 '-ing'이 필요하다는 것을 기억하세요.

Therefore, the correct answer is,

따라서 정답은

‘They are learning English.’

'그들은 영어를 배우고 있습니다.'입니다.

For this checkup we'll take a look at how the present continuous tense

Let's take a look.

The first sentence says, ‘They're play a game tonight.’

첫 번째 문장은 '그들은 오늘밤 게임을 한다'입니다.

The verb we want to use is ‘play’.

우리가 사용하고 싶은 동사는 'play'입니다.

Remember we start with the subject  and here we have it, ‘they’.

주제로 시작한다는 것을 기억하세요. 여기에는 '그들'이 있습니다.

Then we have the ‘be’ verb.

그 다음에는 'be' 동사가 있습니다.

In this case we used a contraction  for ‘they are – ‘they’re’.

이 경우에는 'they are – 'they're'의 축약형을 사용했습니다.

That's correct.

맞습니다.

After that we have to add ‘-ing’ to the end of the verb,

그 다음에는 동사 끝에 '-ing'을 붙여야 하므로

so the correct answer is, ‘They're playing a game tonight.’

정답은 ' They're play a game tonight' 이고

The next sentence says, 'We _blank_ not studying tomorrow.’

다음 문장은 'We _blank_ not study tomorrow

Looks good but there's a word that's missing.

' 입니다. 빠진 단어.

This is the negative form because we have ‘not’.

이것은 우리가 'not'을 가지고 있기 때문에 부정형입니다.

The correct ‘be’ verb is ‘are’. ‘We are not studying tomorrow.’

The next sentence says, ‘Lynn is _blank_ out tonight.’

다음 문장은 'Lynn is _blank_ out tonight.'

and we want to use the verb ‘go’.

이고 동사 'go'를 사용하고 싶습니다.

Remember 'Lynn' and then the ‘be’ verb – ‘is’.

'Lynn'과 'be' 동사인 'is'를 기억하세요.

That's correct. All we have to do is add ‘-ing’.

‘Lynn is going out tonight.’

To make this negative you can say,

The next sentence says, ‘Laura isn't study this evening.’

Remember we have to add  ‘-ing’ to the end of the verb,

so we need to say,

‘Laura isn't studying this evening.’

The next sentence says,

‘My sons will playing chess later.’

We are talking about a future plan,

so you might be tempted to use ‘well’ or ‘will’, I'm sorry.

'잘' 이나 '~할 것이다'를 사용하고 싶은 유혹이 생길 수 있습니다. 죄송합니다.

However, instead of saying ‘will’, we use the ‘be’ verb.

그러나 'will' 대신 ' be' 동사를 사용합니다.

‘My sons are playing chess later.’

'내 아들들은 나중에 체스를 둘 거야.'

And finally, ‘She's not to eating dinner tonight.’

그리고 마지막으로 '그녀는 오늘 저녁을 먹지 않을 거야.'

There's an extra word in here that we don't need.

여기에 우리가 필요로 하지 않는 추가 단어가 있습니다.

What is it?

뭐야?

It's ‘to’.

에'입니다.

Remember, subject - ‘be’ verb, not verb ‘-ing’.

주어는 동사 '-ing'이 아니라 'be' 동사임을 기억하세요.

We do not need ‘to’ in this sentence.

이 문장에서 'to'는 필요하지 않습니다.
