Hello students, welcome back to the English Danny channel. This is a new episode of three-way English with Doctor

Remember with 3-way English. I will be telling you a story three different ways

First in a very basic simple way and then twice more with increasing difficulty

the idea is to help you learn English vocabulary and grammar in context through imitation and

repetition

Today's story will help you with classroom English

So here's our first time through no contractions

Speaking slowly using simple present tense only and very few idioms or phrasal verbs

basic vocabulary

Alright in my classes this week I teach three new lessons first

Students find a partner and ask each other some questions in English

I write six questions on the whiteboard and give directions

One student asks a question the other student answers it

Students tell me if they cannot answer any questions the questions are all

WH questions, they begin with who what where

why when or how the

Students must remember how to answer such questions

Students make groups of four people as a group

They come up with three follow-up questions for each question on the board

Then they practice asking the questions and follow-up questions

Each group member has to ask at least one follow-up question

the students take turns asking and answering

I asked the students to open their books to chapter 7 and listen to a conversation

between two people in the conversation

Two people use WH questions and follow-up questions to have a conversation about food

Each group uses this conversation as a model to imitate

Some students ask a question about the conversation. I

Explain the meanings of some new vocabulary words

Each group has a few minutes to prepare

Then each group presents an example conversation for the whole class

When a group finishes I ask if everyone can follow the conversation

Once we finish these conversations the class ends

Okay now the second time through this time

I'll use some contractions and some other verb tenses like the simple past or the future and

Some idioms and maybe some slightly more complicated vocabulary

All right in my classes this week. I taught three new lessons

First I asked students to find a partner and ask each other some questions in English

I wrote six questions on the board and gave them the following directions

Ask your partner's a question and let them answer then they will ask you the question and you will answer

Let me know if anyone can't answer one of these questions

The questions on the board are all wh-questions

Meaning they are question sentences beginning with the words. Who what where when why or how

Students have to remember how to answer these kinds of questions

Second I had the students make four person groups and come up with three different

follow-up questions for each example question on the board

Once they did that they practiced asking and answering the follow-up questions

I told each group to make sure that every member

answered at least one follow-up question

The students took turns asking and answering the questions

Last I asked the students to open their books to chapter seven and listen to a conversation between two people

in the conversation

The people used WH questions and follow-up questions to have a long conversation about food. I

Told the groups to use this conversation as a model to imitate some students asked me

Oh, can you explain some of the new vocabulary words?

So I tried to explain the meanings once they understood we were ready to go

So next I gave each group a few minutes to prepare

Then each group presented an example conversation for the whole class

After each group finished I asked if everyone could follow their conversation and once all conversations were finished

I ended class for the day

Now for this one, I might use any verb tense and

Some more complicated sentences will be used more vocabulary words. It'll be closer to native level speed

In my classes this week. I introduced three new lessons for the first one. I asked students to get together with a partner and

Ask each other some questions in English. I wrote six WH questions on the board

Who what where when why and how and I told them ask your partner the question and let your partner answer?

Then your partner will ask you the question and you will answer do this for each question and let me know if you can't answer

Students had to remember how to answer questions of this sort

The second thing I did was I had to make four person groups and think up three different

follow-up questions for each of the example questions on the board

Once they had their follow-ups, they practiced asking and answering them as a group

I told them in advance every

Group member should answer at least one follow-up for each question

Then they took turns asking an answering

the last thing we did was open about books to chapter 7 and listen to a conversation between two people the

Conversation used WH questions and follow-ups to talk for a while about food my instructions were simple

Using this conversation as a model build your own

Conversation on a different topic a few students weren't sure about some of the new vocabulary words

So I had to explain them a little bit once they understood the meanings. We were all good to go. I

Gave each group a few minutes prep time then each group presented their example conversation for the whole class

Right after each group finished. I made sure to ask could everyone follow their conversation and for the most part they could

Once all the conversations were done. I wrapped up class for the day
