I'm back with a video full of fun and new ways to practice pronunciation.

Vlachy made a video recently about tongue twisters.

I'm here to teach some new ones to try out.

A tongue twister is a sequence of words

or sounds that are difficult to pronounce quickly and correctly.

Like Vlachy mentioned in his video, tongue twisters are a great way to

practice pronunciation and learn the difference of some sounds in English.

I'm super excited about today’s video, because I have asked the other

presenters to help me with these three tongue twisters.

Let's get started.

The first tongue twister I have for you is to practice the long A sound.

Listen to Paula saying it. I have got a date at a quarter to eight.

I'll see you at the gate, so don't be late.

Did you hear the long A sound? Listen to these words. Date.

Eight. Gate. Late.

They all have the same long A sound.

I have got a date at a quarter to eight. I'll see you at the gate, so don't be late.

Let's go a bit faster with Hong. I have got a date at a quarter to eight.

I'll see you at the gate, so don't be late. Yeah. Excellent work.

The next one is to practice the sound of the letter P in English,

and also the short and long sounds of E and I.

This is a bit longer, so I’ll teach you by parts.

In this tongue twister we have long E sounds like Peter,

and short E sounds like peck and peppers.

We also have the long I sounds like piper,

and short I sounds like picked and pickled.

Now let's say it together.

Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, a peck

of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked.

If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers,

where's the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?

Let's say it faster with Greg.

Our next and final tongue twister is to practice short

vowel sounds like we saw now and the flap T.

This means Ts between two vowels and that sound like a D.

If I put it in my batter, it will make my batter bitter;

but a bit of better butter, that would make my batter better.

Did you hear the sound of the D instead of the T?
