Using tongue twisters to practise pronunciation

And on today’s video, we’re going to learn

some tongue twisters to practise and improve pronunciation, so make

Tongue twisters are an effective and fun

way to practise pronunciation by focusing on specific phonemes.

Today, we’ll practise three sounds that are

difficult for most people when they're starting to learn English.

The first sound is the one produced by the consonant R.

Also known as the alveolar approximant sound

that we find in words like red, car, and sorry.

The second sound is the voiceless dental fricative,

present in words such as thanks, think, and breath.

The final two sounds are the lateral consonant or L,

found in words like liked and sail.

And finally, the vociceless fricative or be quiet sound, shhhhhh, present in

words such as shower and push.

We’ll play in two levels, easy and medium,

according to how fast you say it.

Remember, exaggerating the sound as much as you can when

you're practising so they’ll come out more naturally when you're speaking.
