Strategy number one, if you

just become more general.

What I mean is this.

If you can't think of the word dog,

use the word pet.

So you're talking in general

about animals that people

keep, like cats or dogs.

고양이나 개처럼 사람들이 키우는 동물에 대해 일반적으로 말하는 거군요.

If you can't think of the word

car or van, use the word vehicle,

자동차나 밴이라는 단어가 생각나지 않는다면, 차량이라는 단어를 사용하세요. 차량은

a, general term to talk about

the things we drive to go places.

우리가 어딘가로 가기 위해 운전하는 물건을 가리키는 일반적인 용어입니다.

So you might say, I took my pet

그러니까, "저번에 애완동물을

to the vet the other day, or

동물병원에 데려갔어요"라고 말할 수도 있고, "저번에

you might say, I took my vehicle

차를 차고에 가져갔어요"라고 말할 수도 있겠죠

to the garage the other day.

This would not sound

이는

abnormal in English.

영어로 말하면 이상하게 들리지 않을 것입니다.

So strategy number one,

just speak in more general terms.

Instead of saying cat, say pet.

Instead of saying car, say vehicle.

Strategy number two,

use actions to replace the word

that you can't remember.

Let's say I can't remember

the word for mustache.

I could just say, I'm just

trying to grow a little

bit here, you know?

So I didn't say the word mustache,

but I indicated the area

and I used the verb to grow.

And I think the person will know

that I'm talking about mustache.

I could say, the other day

I just went for a little.

Let's say you were saying,

I was running late the other day

because I couldn't find my.

And I just think the other

And it will just be a, completely
