How to Use EXCEPT THAT and EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT

"Except that" and "except for the  fact that" can both be used to

exclude something from a statement. We  use them before a full clause, that is,

an idea with a subject and a verb. Let's rewrite  some sentences. Use the words in parentheses.
