Another common mistake is with articles.

Just remember, it's the Olympics, not Olympics.

I'm going to Olympics.

I'm going to the Olympics.

You need the in front of  it, and it's plural as well.

Run instead of run, you could say the Summer  Olympics take place or occur occur from.

Those are options.

Now notice this preposition in  because you compete in something.

Do you know why I changed it from having  that plural form, the S, to a singular form?

In our first sentence, I'm watching the Olympics.

Olympics is a noun, and in this case  it's a proper noun, so it's capitalized.

In this sentence, Olympic is an  adjective that describes games.

The type of games and adjectives don't have  plural forms in English, and that's why Olympic

doesn't have an S Or you can simply drop the  adjective and say I'm watching the games.

Notice it's still plural.

There's always a plural there,  and in this case games is a noun,

All three of these are common.

The most common is probably just the first one.

This is the noun form of the verb prepare.

But we use this expression to refer  to leave the place where you are,

whether it's a city, a town, that doesn't matter.

We just use the word town.

It's very common to say we're  going out of town, out of town now.

This simply means you're leaving  your area, whatever your area is.

We have a few expressions with town as well.

It's been a long time since  we had a night on the town.

A night on the town is a lively night, but  in your area, so wherever you live, you

go out dancing or for a nice dinner or to see a  comedy show or something involving entertainment.

But in your area, that's a night on the town.

So hopefully you've had a fun  night on the town recently.

Now we also have an expression,  get out of town, Get out of town.

이제 Get out of town, Get out of town이라는 표현도 생겼습니다.

And this is another way of saying are you serious?

I don't believe you.

So you might tell me, Jennifer, I won the lottery.

So this is a fun expression as well.

But in this case, town, it just means  area planning to leave the area.

Bus and metro fares will double  in the capital during the games.

Not surprising as well.

So of course a fare is the amount of money that  you have to pay to take the bus or the metro.

So if it was $1.00 and it double  S, then it's of course $2.00.

따라서 $1.00이고 S를 두 배로 늘리면 당연히 $2.00가 됩니다.

Charities complained after  hundreds of squatters were

evicted from buildings close to the new sites.

새 부지 근처 건물에서 쫓겨난 후 자선단체에서 불만을 제기했습니다.

So if they're evicted, it means that  they were told to leave permanently.

따라서 퇴거된다는 것은 영구히 떠나라는 지시를 받았다는 의미입니다.

So if you're evicted from your  apartment, you must leave permanently.

따라서 아파트에서 쫓겨나는 경우 영구적으로 떠나야 합니다.

Hopefully that would never happen to you now.

Hundreds of squatters.

Do you know who or what a squatter is?

A squatter is someone who illegally, they're  not allowed to, stays in an unoccupied building.

불법 거주자는 불법적으로, 허용되지 않는 빈 건물에 머무르는 사람입니다.

That building could be your home.

그 건물이 당신의 집이 될 수도 있어요.

If you go on vacation for four  months and then someone decides  

귀하가 4개월 동안 휴가를 떠난 후

to live in your home while you're  not there, while it's unoccupied,  

귀하가 없는 동안 누군가가 귀하의 집에 살기로 결정하고 집이 비어 있고 일정

no one is using it for a period of  time, then that person is a squatter.

So these are the reasons why  Paris will be unbearable.

이것이 바로 파리가 참을 수 없는 이유입니다.

Unbearable is a strong adjective.

Unbearable은 강한 형용사입니다.

It means so unpleasant, extremely unpleasant,  so unpleasant that it's difficult to endure,  

너무 불쾌하다, 극도로 불쾌하다, 너무 불쾌해서 견디기 힘들고,

difficult to even be in Paris  because of how unpleasant it is.

파리에 있기조차 어렵다는 뜻이다 .

It's a very dramatic adjective, but we use this a  lot in a dramatic way, often to describe people.

매우 극적인 형용사이지만 우리는 이 표현을 극적인 방식으로 많이 사용하며 종종 사람을 묘사할 때 사용합니다.

For example, your boss.

예를 들어, 당신의 상사.

My boss is unbearable.

내 상사는 참을 수 없습니다.

He is so or she is so unpleasant.

그 사람은 그렇거나 그녀는 너무 불쾌합니다.

Any negative emotion that it's difficult for  you to even be around your boss or hopefully  

상사와 함께 있기조차 어렵다는 부정적인 감정이나 이런

you won't say this, but this lesson that  you're watching right now was unbearable.

말은 하지 않기를 바라지만, 지금 보고 있는 이 강의는 참을 수 없었습니다.

It was so unpleasant, it was  difficult for you to even watch.

너무 불쾌해서 보기조차 힘들었습니다.

But I don't think that's true because  if you are at the end of this lesson,

well, then you endured it, you kept going.

So I don't think you would describe it as that.
