Where are you from Sir? Havisha, it's nice to meet you. My name is David and I am

from Florida. Oh, that's nice. Is Florida in the USA? Yes, Florida is in the USA.

Most recently, I lived in Georgia. So, maybe, if you know Georgia I lived there

too. And and tell me, Havisha, how old are you?

I'm 11 years old. Oh, very nice. Your English is very good.

watching TV in English, at school? I've learned English at school as well

your Cambly sessions? Do you like having chats, conversations? Do you like doing

Um, the best place to start with a conversation is with an introduction. So,

um, you told me your name is Havisha. You are 11 years old.

Tell me, um what grade are you in? Also what are your hobbies? This kind of thing.

Go ahead. Okay. First of all, I would say thank

you so much for giving me the opportunity to introduce myself. I am 11

years old studying in grade six.

Basically, I am from Jaipur which is in the northern part of India.

But because the father is posted in Bangalore which is in the southern part

of India. So, that's why, right now, I reside in Bangalore. In my

leisure time, I love to ride a cycle. I love to read spiritual books and apart from that I

love to play role-playing games with my siblings. My short-term plan is to do

well in studies and get good marks. My long-term plans is to help the needy

and less fortunate. Now, it's your chance, sir.

do a good job too. My name is David. I am 23 years old.

My, I'm working as an English interviewer. This means that I talk to people. I ask

them questions. I interview them and then I test their English. If they have good

English then they can work with their company. But if they don't have good

English, I have to tell them oh I'm so sorry but we need a higher level. So,

please reapply in a couple of months. For example

so on cambly I help adults with interview preparation but I also love

talking to young people because I um we talk about very interesting topics such

as school or we play games so I enjoy these classes also

um I I'm on cambly just for fun this is my hobby not my job

plans or goals for the new year 2023 oh yes I think yes I also do have my

plans and goals for the year 2023 I also made a resolution did you

I do have some goals that I want to achieve this year yeah oh that's great

yes I think my first goal because I I don't really travel much I'm I'm kind of

like a busy guy um but my first goal would probably be

to go to Turkey I have an uncle that lives in Turkey so

I want to travel oh nice that's nice

what about you do you have any plans do you want to go on vacation somewhere do

you want to learn how to do something uh in vacations I would love to go to my

native place as last one year I could not go there so I want to go there and I

also want to visit places nearby as I have never visited them

and apart from that I also haven't I also have another resolution which is

that I also want to get good marks compared to the previous year

see yeah all right um very nice what is the most difficult

subject for you at school um is it like subject math science

English oh I think Maths. And sir, when you were a

child which subject would you find the most difficult

for me I always have trouble remembering like dates and places so history was

very hard for me and geography because remembering different places different

cities but I was really good at science and math

oh nice that seems like one of like opposite

yes I like it you know what's funny it's I saw it on

special it was very cheap so I decided to buy it from for my workspace

um do you like clocks do you like watches

um I don't really wear watches but I really like I use clocks but I think I

don't like them very very much but I also like some new kinds of clocks like

the bun like the one behind you and and you have a pretty nice

background too I see some like I see like a girl with the flutes that's kind

of cool uh can you tell me about it actually it's not a girl it's a boy with

a flute oh I'm so sorry yes thank you so much for your

appreciation for it's a very I mean it's Lord Krishna with the flute and uh and

it uh it's a sticker a wallpaper it's a sticker not a painting or drawing

okay okay it's very uh interesting very interesting so who is this person can

he is a very uh I mean he's a Lord Krishna is a very nice person who lived

in vrindavan and I think and sir before that I would love to ask you your

curtain design after that there is a very beautiful kind of design I can't

really see it properly but hi yes yes it's really very beautiful so behind

that curtain is there any window or it's just on the walls is for like that

all right I've seen that too I've seen it where sometimes it's just like

another wall or something but no I I do have a window

um I can show you outside okay so I haven't

told you where I live I am from the southeast of the US Florida Georgia but

we are in Colombia now I I want to travel the world so I am exploring

Colombia this is uh one of my family is originally from Colombia so I am getting

to know it a little bit better let me show you what the street looks like here

wait hold on I live right in front of a store

so I all I have to do is cross the street

and wow that's a bus yeah I I live in the city

um it looks amazing I did not even expect that little city would be so

beautiful oh thank you uh well

um Armenia is is a it's a nice city um it's it's small but it's it it's kind

of it's got everything that a big city would have so we have a mall we have a

shopping centers we have stores you know like movie theaters so

um yeah it doesn't feel like I'm in another country it's it's very similar

to living in the United States um

even Bangalore right yes yes

yes I do like it the place where I live there is there are in a particular place

there are a lot of buildings and a bit of traffic jam but yes it's also a very

beautiful place there are beautiful trees also

and the weather I would say is a kind of it's not humid but it is like this that

there is only one weather throughout the year throughout the year there is only

one particular weather which is not too cold not too hot you

don't even need any hazy nor a heater so that's the way and the streets are

are also some places are crowded whereas some places are not crowded

I see that's awesome okay so um I am going to ask you

um about Bangalore because I've never been to India before but I'm interested

in the city so um

do you miss your hometown more do you um where do you like it more Bangalore

or your hometown to be honest I like my hometown more

than this place where I live which is Bangalore sir you said you would like to

explore the world till now how much ever places you have explored maybe more or

less I don't know but could you please tell me which place would you say the

best place wow okay well I just started so I'm

pretty new at you know traveling um I've only been to the whole east

coast of the United States the whole east coast and then uh Colombia

I've also been to a tiny island in the Caribbean so let me show you I

think out of all the places that I've seen so far this place has to be the

most beautiful so I'm gonna just Google

the island is called San Andres Island

oh oh yeah

and so the water looks like this the water is really very amazing

yes it almost looks like a drink I I want to just drink the ocean oh wow but

you shouldn't do that

thank you it's like Crystal color kind of yeah

yeah it's it's like uh they they call it teal or turquoise

here are really clean yeah yeah it's very pretty the only

thing is that it's very very hot if you're not careful you can get burned

very easily oh

that hot so we we always wear hats and I do not

like for example um for bathing suits I have to wear a

long sleeve shirt because otherwise I will get burnt

oh there must be some screams or I would say some greens or something like that

many you have to apply sunscreen every two

hours because if you don't then you will still get burned oh my God I never

imagined any place to be such hot okay hurry avisha I want you to imagine

your favorite destination your favorite place do you like mountains do you like

the beach do you like the jungle what is like your favorite place or your

favorite vacation

actually I like every place because every place has its own things but

mostly I would say I like the Riverside or I would say the bank of the river

okay very nice you like to do you like to swim in rivers

oh yes I really do that apart from swimming in rivers but from Banks of

rivers I also do like Mountain areas or hilly areas

okay very nice uh so you can go hiking in these areas very nice yes

um okay I I just want to tell you because our class is almost over but

your English is wonderful you're very expressive you can your accent is very

clear easy to understand um I want to help you with your goals so

I'm going to give you a list these words are called phrasal verbs

these will help you to sound more like an American if you want to sound like an

American or someone from a English-speaking country so I put it in
