The differences between 'imitation' and 'artificial' - It's time to learn English

I don't know about you, but all this English teaching is making me feel rather hungry.

Fortunately, I have something to eat here.

A delicious beef burger.

Do you mind if I take a bite?

Because I am feeling rather hungry, to be honest.

Mm hmm.

Mm mm. You.

Wait a minute.

Hmm? Mm hmm.

Something's not right here,

I get the feeling that this is not a real beef burger.

I think it's made of some sort of plastic or silicone.

This looks like a real beef burger, but I can't eat it.

It is actually an imitation Asian.

It is fake.

It is not real.

I cannot eat this.

It is interesting when you compare certain words in English, for example,

imitation and artificial.

Something that is artificial or synthetic

has been taken from nature.

Maybe a certain thing that occurs naturally has been copied

and can be used in the way in which the natural thing exists.

For example, sugar.

We can use artificial sugar

in the same way as real sugar.

A person who has lost part of their body

might have an artificial limb.

That (artificial) limb will do

many of the things that the real limb can also do.

It is interesting to note that certain words in English do have different meanings,

and that is one of the reasons why you have to be very careful how you use them.

That is today's lesson.

I am going into the house now to find some real food.
