Circle and Cycle - Life... Love... and 'What goes round, comes round'. It's time to Learn English

They say that many things go round in circles.

The planets in our solar system go round the sun.

We all take that journey together.

You might even say that life is a cycle,

or at least a type of circle.

The words circle and cycle have similar connotations

in that they refer to one thing going round another.

In fact, both words originate from Latin

around object or a series of repeating events

or the circle and the cycle.

A wheel is circular and goes round in a cycle.

As I mentioned earlier, life is a type of cycle.

Although we only get to take that particular ride once.

Sometimes we might find ourselves going full circle.

A point in your life is revisited again later.

You go from one situation to another,

only to return to the first point again.

Mistakes may be repeated.

You might return to a job you did in the past.

A person you've lost contact with comes back into your life.

You have gone full circle in your life.

The breeding routine of animals

is often referred to as the life cycle.

So as you can see, the circle and the cycle of all

our existences can be simplified just by referring to how they occur.

Both the good things and the bad things can come back at some point.

What goes around comes around.

That, as they say, is how things are.

Eventually, we all end up back where we started.
