LEARNING ENGLISH - LESSON 1 ( Repeat and Remember)

There are many things to remember

when learning English

and I am not talking about

the words or the grammar rules.

The one crucial area that must be considered

whilst learning the language involves the various

methods of improving your own learning process.

The important activities

to carry out so as to expand

your word power and improve your grasp of English

come in many forms.

They exist in many ways.

For me one of the best ways to learn English

or anything is to go over what you have studied

again and again.

To repeat what you have recently focused on.

For many English Learners this exercise

might seem dull and boring,

but in reality the action of repetition

is crucial especially when you are

trying to get those all-important words and rules

to go in to and stay in your brain.

Let's be honest learning is basically

a process of putting things in

and keeping them in there until needed.

A little like putting things in a cupboard

until you need them.

At first you might forget where they are,

but over time

you become familiar with where those things are

and where they go.

It is exactly the same process as

learning a new skill.

The more you do something,

the easier it becomes to remember it.

That is the reason why repeating new words

reviewing grammar rules

reciting a short poem or story is so important.

As a matter of fact you can repeat anything

again and again whilst learning

and the result will be the same.

You will remember it.

Never be afraid to read and repeat

listen and repeat, review and repeat.

The very basic rule of learning anything states

that the best way to learn something

is to repeat it.

Now listen to this lesson again.

Absorb the words.

Take in the advice

and of course

have fun.
