hi everybody this is mr. Duncan in England how are you today are you ok

I hope so are you happy well are you happy I really hope you are feeling

happy today because I'm here now live with you on YouTube I hope you are

feeling good did you enjoy my little dense around the garden I was having a

little dense around the garden because last night I was watching a little bit

of ballet Oh mr. Duncan that is very sophisticated oh I must say so I was

watching a little bit of ballet last night I was listening to the music

who knows the beautiful piece of music from Peter in the wolf it always reminds

me of my school days where we had music lessons and I always remember my music

teacher played Peter and the wolf and I was absolutely mesmerised by the music

so last night I was listening to it whilst it was playing on YouTube so

during these strange times many performers many organizations are

allowing people to watch big stage performances free of charge and many of

them are being streamed on YouTube which is very nice so here we are then it is

just after 10 minutes pressed 2 o'clock there it is the time right now I know

I'm slightly late before anyone says mr. Duncan you are late yes I know I was a

little bit late I'm trying something different today

so I'm doing my livestream in a slightly different way instead of using my mobile

phone I'm actually using my studio equipment so I've brought some of my

studio outside first of all let's get the live chat working I'm not sure even

if you can hear me I hope you can hear me if you can't hear me please say mr.

Duncan we can hear you clearly and then I will be very happy about that

so if you can hear me please let me know that you can hear me very well

I really really hope so and of course we have the live chat you are more than

welcome to get involved with the live chat as well lots of people are already

on that's good I think you can hear me because I can see there are lots of

captions being generated on the screen so I think you can hear me which is nice

that is very nice to know so if you can hear me please say mr. Duncan can you

just realized that the CERN has already moved and it's starting to move behind

the house so I have a horrible feeling in a few moments I might actually be

plunged into darkness so I hope you can hear me okay can you hear me clearly

that is the big question I have to make sure because if I stand here talking to

you and you can't hear me then everything is a big waste of time really

isn't it hello also to the live chat once again I suppose I should mention

you because you are the most important part of what I do so without you I would

have nothing I wouldn't have anything I wouldn't have my livestream because you

would not be there watching and getting involved

think this is very strange I think Luis Mendez was actually first

in my garden I am getting my exercise for today and also I'm out here talking

to you talking of exercise coming up a little bit later on the guy who loves

exercising you can see him quite often in the garden skipping and doing

push-ups and doing lots of physical jerking so mr. Steve will be with us yes

it's him he will be with us in around about 15 minutes time so look out for

mr. Steve he will be here and the big question today is will mr. Steve be

using my space hopper so I'm hoping that I can convince mr. Steve to use my space

hopper I don't know if he will because I asked him this morning and he said no no

way I am definitely not going to use your space hopper however I'm going to

try I will see if I can get mr. Steve on four space hopper so there it is

behind me you can see it in the corner of my lawn in the corner of the garden

over there that is the thing that I like to bounce around my garden on I hope you

are feeling good today it is Sunday apparently for those who are religious

it is Palm Sunday today Palm Sunday which means next weekend next sunday is

Easter so next Sunday it will be Easter Easter Sunday next week so for those who

are celebrating well I suppose I suppose you won't be celebrating at church

because many churches have been closed and I think you know why I think we all

know why in fact so next Sunday is Easter Sunday which

makes me very excited even though I haven't found any Easter eggs in the

house I was wondering whether mr. Steve was going to hide some Easter eggs

however I haven't found any yet so I think mr. Steve has maybe forgotten

perhaps Steve has forgotten to buy some Easter eggs which would be terrible

really let's be honest with you I think you all know that I left my food very

have a feeling you did I did the same thing so yesterday morning we went into

town to get some bread but today we haven't been anywhere so I've been in

however can I tell you something Steve has been cooking in the kitchen mr.

Steve has been baking something nice he has and I'm sure a lot of people at the

moment a lot of people with time on their hands perhaps you are going into

the kitchen to try and bake something maybe suddenly you want to refresh

yourself with your baking skills so one of the questions I want to ask today is

if I can find it here is the question that I want to ask you today have you

baked something nice have you baked something nice so there is the question

I am going to ask you right now have you baked something nice and the reason why

I'm asking that is because Steve this morning was busy in the kitchen and he

has baked something and I'm hoping that he'll come out to show what it is

he has baked so have you baked something nice a lot of people have baked bread

they've been practicing their baking skills some people have baked a cake so

Steve this morning has been very busy in the kitchen baking something nice I'm

not sure what it is because I've been busy preparing this so I have no idea

what it is steve has baked but what about you have

talk about what we are doing during this very strange period of time and also we

as I mentioned last week I am a big fan of Technology I love technology very

much and one of the things that always makes me happy when I'm doing my live

streams is how wonderful technology is so many people now are learning how to

use video conferencing many more people are now using Skype and also zoom and

FaceTime so if you have an Apple phone you can

use FaceTime to get in touch with your friends and relatives so I think

technology is pretty good I've loved it for years to be honest I love technology

very much but it's great to find that many people are discovering all these

great new ways of staying in touch with each other hello to Belarusian ooh

Belarusian has been baking cakes very nice yes I baked a cake with honey and

hazelnuts and yes I know you don't like nuts in the food my dear teacher I am

sorry about that don't worry the most important thing is did you enjoy it was

it nice a lot of people enjoy baking a lot of people enjoy baking cakes or

bread however I don't really enjoy doing that I'll be

honest with you so in a few moments we will find out what Steve has baked in

the oven whatever it is it smells delicious because I can smell it from

here so because my studio window is next to me here I can actually smell yes I

can smell what mr. Steve has been baking so you know I think that's very nice so

I can't wait to find out what mr. Steve has been baking this morning in the oven

posterior I wonder what it is do you mind sharing the details of your cake

what is it what is pastiera I am intrigued is it a traditional cake that

you normally cook or bake at Easter so is it a special cake that you bake at

Easter please let me know I am intrigued as you know I am very fond of food very

we had a very nice day here the weather was fantastic just like today so today

is very warm yesterday was also warm and sunny however a lot of people decided to

break the law yesterday they all went to their local parks they all went out to

the parks or maybe if there was a large field near

their house they all went to sit down and enjoy the sunshine

however there were so many people out yesterday sunbathing and of course they

were all breaking the social distancing rules so many of them were actually

breaking the important rules about keeping a safe distance away from each

other so that is something that happened

yesterday so a lot of people now are saying that they must go outside those

who are complaining or saying but we must go outside we have to have our

sunlight we have to have it it is our human right to have sunlight

now I suppose it is a fair argument however the reason why people are

complaining is because they said they want to get their vitamin D vitamin D is

a very important vitamin for your body and one of the best sources of vitamin D

is sunlight however you only need around 10 minutes of sunlight to get enough

vitamin D so you only need to spend about 10 minutes in the Sun or even on a

cloudy day did you know on a cloudy day 10 minutes is enough to give you a body

all the vitamin D it means when I say vitamin D I am NOT saying vitamin Duncan

however a daily dose of vitamin Duncan is highly recommended because it will

always leave you with a big smile on your face I hope so anyway so nice to

see you all here today Karl ed said I baked some cakes and

bread a lot of people are baking their own bread at the moment which i think is

a brilliant idea however some of the supermarket's have now

reported running out of flour so people are now buying lots of flour from the

supermarket's so they can go home and bake their own

bread so it has caused some problems hello as mayor hello asthma I have baked

a cake with coffee so your cake is actually coffee flavored so if you

flavor something you give it an individual taste or flavor so you flavor

something the word flavor can actually be used as a verb and also a noun so the

taste of something is the flavor however we can also add the taste to food so if

you add taste to food you will flavor the food you give it some flavor you add

something to the food to make it taste nice or maybe to make it sweeter so

sometimes it is necessary to add flavor to your food

quite often Christina says I am NOT a good cook but I have a lot of

imagination in cooking excuse me for touching my face but there are flies

everywhere because of the hot weather we're having at the moment all of the

Flies have decided to come out and buzz around my face

very annoying mr. Duncan what is that thing behind you that is my space hopper

space hopper it is a toy that used to be very popular in the 1970s

and there is my space hopper hopefully in a few moments I'm hoping mr. Steve

will be going around the garden on my space hopper we will see what happens

last Christmas I baked a cake I baked it with KitKat and white cream I like the

sound of that KitKat it is a type of chocolate snack

that you can eat so that look that sounds very good can you guess what my

give it to maybe a friend or relative my sister my my younger sister bakes cake

and sometimes she will bake cakes for other people so my my younger sister is

the weather is like maybe you are not allowed to go outside so here in England

here in the UK many people are being told that they must stay in the house

they have to stay indoors or in their garden so that's the reason why I'm in

my garden today I'm in my garden because I want to come outside I want to talk to

you and also I want to share a little bit of this English sunshine with you as

well Lena is here Lena says my birthday will be on the 15th of June and I will

be 35 oh you are still very young can I just say I know I've said this before a

long time ago I'm going to say it again can I say the best time time the best

period of your life is in your 30s don't waste your 30s so from the age of

29 to the age of 40 those quite often will turn out to be your best years with

your health quite often with your finances and quite often with your

expectations of life so maybe there is something you want to do a good time to

do it is in your 30s and a lot of people do waste their 30s they do so from the

age of 29 to 40 that as far as I'm concerned it's only my opinion by the

way you don't have to take it or accept it

however one of the best periods of time in my life was my 30s and now looking

back I realized that perhaps maybe I wasted some of that time so that's the

reason why I'm saying today make the most of your thirties so you are very

lucky Lena because you are only 35 you are still halfway through your 30s you

don't have to agree with me if you disagree please tell me please say mr.

Duncan we don't agree with you you are wrong you don't agree with you Shravan

says all I have been doing is eating and sleeping I think a lot of people have

been doing that to be honest I think many people all they've been doing

during this crazy time is eat and sleep and maybe some people are also drinking

alcohol as well so perhaps that those are the things that most people are

doing however I am trying my best to come outside and get a little bit of

exercise and another person who is always crazy about getting exercise is

mr. Steve for those who don't know who mr. Steve is guess what he will have a

chance to see him in a few moments because he will be here live on my

stream yes he will for those wondering what this is maybe

you have just clicked on my face and you are wondering what the hell am i

watching well my name is Duncan I'm an English teacher I teach English on

YouTube I've been doing this for many years do you know how long I've been

doing this for ever such a long time I've been doing this for ages for ages

so I've been doing this for many years and the reason why I'm here is because

we are going through some very strange times at the moment so I am alone you

are there I don't know if you are alone or not but I'm here we are all living in

isolation here in the UK and may be where you are as well so that's the

reason why I'm in the garden I want to do something different and I will be

with you every day during April every single day Anna Coby is also busy in the

kitchen today we baked some bread some bread roosters that's interesting

so you baked some bread that looks like a rooster interesting it is traditional

in Holland and it is often placed on top of the palm sunday stick interesting I

didn't know that thank you Anna Coby so there is a Dutch

tradition where you you bake a piece of bread that looks like a rooster maybe it

is a sign of fertility so many signs many symbols many things that we use to

express a certain festival quite often they are connected with fertility mr.

Duncan fertility we heard you say that on YouTube just hello neuron we have to

be we have to take care of our health I think we can live without being sociable

but we can't live without our help that is true there are many things in

life that you can buy there are many things in life that you can live without

however there are some things you cannot live without and I think your health is

definitely at the top of the list I think you are right

when people go out in the CERN they will often sunbathe they will find a nice

preparation for in preparation for Easter it is Easter next week are you

an important day for all catholic people unfortunately we have to stay at home

yes of course well in Italy many people are still in lockdown

the situation is slowly easing but it is not getting better

just like here in the UK the situation here in the UK by the way is very

similar so we are still having problems here more and more people are still

becoming ill and sadly there are still people who are dying as well because of

this terrible situation a lot of people asked me yesterday they said mr. Duncan

please can you tell us when this will end I have no idea I don't know when

this situation will come to an end but I do hope it will be soon that's all I can

today because we are in the garden and we are doing things slightly differently

for a Sunday because normally Sunday we have a lot of things to talk about to do

with English but today it is free and open and I believe if I'm not mistaken

Steve you have been very busy this morning I've been very busy now that

we've got all this time on our hands yep time on our hands that means we've

got lots of spare time I've been cooking and baking and doing all sorts of things

like that and yesterday I cooked as a a nice meal didn't I yes we had somehow a

delicious meal can I just say I know a lot of people are going to be jealous

now Steve mr. Steve is there very good cook I don't like to brag you are yeah I

think you were you're a very good cook mr. Steve had a basic cookery basic okay

so I've cooked some flapjacks okay well I was going to build up to it you see oh

okay then start again rewind rewind okay it's too late now go on what were you

going to say Steve what's in the box well I've been doing some baking mr.

Duncan really it cooked yes really what what is it what's in the box Steve look

here's the box they don't turn them upside down not okay I wasn't going to

Steve I wasn't going to turn them upside down

but what's in the box Steve I don't know I have no idea

they're called flapjacks flapjacks jacks I'll show you shall I okay I've only

made them this morning can you tell me how you make them well I will do hold

that lid for me okay there we go there's an example of woken up a bit I will just

get that very close to the lens there you go that one's broken up a bit so

that's what they don't like in the box you must stop the Flies getting in so

it's oats so this is called the flapjack flapjack so it's you you bake oats with

some fat margarine sugar golden syrup but I have also put in there some

raisins mmm also some pumpkin seeds oh and a teaspoon of ginger spice can I try

this yes yes you can try it Unni Corina says flapjacks are delicious

I know and they're full of I've eaten six already mr. Duncan so Steve this is

what I said earlier I said the problem with people baking their own food is

quite often they will eat the food that they've baked but these look delicious

so I'm going to try a little piece of mr. Steve's flapjack I'm not sure that

mr. Duncan will actually like them because mr. Duncan doesn't normally like

well he doesn't like oh he doesn't like raisins

flies in my flapjack yes the Flies are everything lead where's the lead I've

just realised because mr. Steve's flapjacks are very sticky so I think

this will make very good flypaper you can actually use mr. Steve's flat jacks

to catch flies I think so so I'm going to try a bit of your flapjack mr. Steve

while you're doing that I shall read the live chats okay then

right yes so I always like to put different things in so next time I might

put sunflower seeds in but pumpkin seeds are very good for your health

I've put a margarine in there which is a plant-based so there's no animal fats in

there so it's healthy it's vegetarian and which makes up for the fact that we

get half a lamb last night but I'm going to be doing my neighborly good neighbor

business later on and I'm going to go round to the next-door neighbor and mow

her grass for her because we've been asked a volunteer in these difficult

times to help out the elderly and I'm going to go and know her lawn and cut

back her bushes hmm what do you think mr. Duncan give me a verdict marks out

of 10 these are delicious really lovely I was hoping you wouldn't like them

because I wanted them all myself these are absolutely delicious well done Steve

you like the ginger spice in them I didn't think you'd like the ginger it's

lovely lovely it's just the right amount of

everything there right it's just the right amount of sweetness the right

amount of oats and the right amount of flavor delicious well done Steve you

have another success thank you very much I'm open to orders so if anybody wants

me to make them some flapjacks send me your orders and it's it's ten pounds a

slice all the funds going towards mr. Duncan's YouTube channel I actually want

another one it will have all the broken bits see when you bake your own cakes

and then you have to cut them up is there anyone that knows who bakes their

own cakes is that you get a lot of leftover bits and scraps this is amazing

you are a genius not really a genius I did actually just

follow the instructions in a baking book hmm it's not difficult really mr. Duncan

in fact flapjacks are the easiest cakes to make I would say hmm they are very

very easy to make you just mix the sugar and the fat into a saucepan melt it and

then just shove the oats in flatten it down into a baking tray and put it in

the oven it's very very easy to make yes

Sammy says you will be eating them today on the evening while watching TV and

drinking tea maybe maybe hmm but I've already had six I

have a feeling Steve these will not be here tomorrow

mr. Duncan your lights are brighter than the Sun Loco there's a light to my left

here mm-hmm and it's literally brighter than the Sun why is that interesting

well it's and it's also incredibly hot okay now what did I say earlier what did

I say about mr. Steve I said when he comes outside he's got the seed stuck in

the back of his throat are you all right

you see that was my plan all along my plan all along is to get mr. Duncan to

eat the flapjacks he choked and then I'd have the livestream with myself up oh

bloody hell Steve you can't you shouldn't talk and eat a flapjack

because all the little bits can get stuck in your throat oh I think Steve is

trying to kill me you all right mr. Duncan of water some water in your mouth

mr. Duncan that'll help I don't know why that seems very familiar Oh have you

recovered mr. Duncan yes says rusyn Wow I need a boyfriend like that to cook

isn't that every woman's dream a boyfriend that's good in the sack and

good in the kitchen

I nearly died them I don't think so what because we don't we don't want to have

to go to A&E at the moment oh no I might pick up a nasty infection well when is

when is the time that you want to go to the hospital I have burnt myself I've

forgotten how dangerous it actually was cooking I burnt myself in three places

one on the hot plate and if you can see that there it's a little red probably

not again there on the oven and also on my thumb as well so I've burnt myself in

three places not badly I hasten to add but we don't want to have to go to

casualty or accident in emergency because you might come away from there

with slightly more than just a finger I don't care about your burns what about

me I nearly choked to death just debonair Sergio all I can say is I hope

the neighbors can't hear me coughing because they'll be phoning everyone

they'll be phoning the ambulances and everything you see that's so mr. Duncan

is so used to unhealthy foods like jaffa cakes that when he actually eats

something healthy his whole body rejects it what sir that was a healthy snack and

mr. Duncan just rejected his throat that getting past my throat like it's far too

healthy calm down you've got the job you've got the job Steve calm down have

a drink go on mr. Duncan I'm going to it looks spongy ah

yes be chewed oh wow hi mr. Steve thank you very much hi to you too can I just

say one of the most distressing thing is when your airway closes oh it's flies

everywhere out here mr. dung we should have stayed in the studio

anyone can make flapjacks they're very easy to make but they're not easy to eat

not without choking to death yes as I say they're far too healthy to mr.

that's me bad at work by the way in case you're wondering who I am

Francesco says today we've had a period of 40 days without eating meat we have

eaten but badula con a ragu Bolognese well Bolognese means that there is

tomato is that right I'm not sure oh okay I think you could be right I

think you could be right I think if things are Bolognese I think

it means it's cooked or you add tomatoes or maybe tomato puree tomato flavor

Francesco this is gum pet che or is its cup Scott Peck que I'm trying to learn a

bit of Italian actually this is strange because Steve this morning was talking

about an app that he's found and it will actually translate everything that you

write in and also it will speak to you as well and tell you what the

pronunciation is but these these things have been around for a while well I was

trying to learn how to speak this I'm learning to sing this Italian song and I

wanted to to pronounce the words correctly and it's usually that you as

you will know because mr. Duncan would have talked about this languages have a

certain set of rules don't they on how to pronounce certain vowels or

consonants to in certain conditions around things like that dagwon has these

linked linguistic rules exist in all languages so English has them and unmet

but some languages of course rely more on the way the word is said or the way

it is expressed yeah so I was I was trying to trying to learn how to

pronounce these words and I got my list of instructions on how to pronounce the

letters and things like but that's quite a long way round to do

it and I discovered this wonderful website that you just type in the word

and it pronounces it for you you're probably all using this to you tota to

enthusiastic in pumping it full of air so do you want me to have a go on this

burst it could create a bit of laughter but

otherwise I won't well of course there's no sport on the TV anymore

events sporting events from the past days are being shown on television key

matches and things like that from World Cup finals

everyone's watching those now because there isn't any live sport to watch and

it's quite interesting when you watch the news now at the end of the news

there's always 10 minutes of sports news and they've got a separate presenter for

that but now when they bring the sports presenter on they have nothing to show

because there aren't any sporting events going on anywhere in the world I don't

think but I'm just wanted to read what satury nose said there about sporting

events because sorry pal mera no sport to watch at night we're watching 1998

football final in France France Brazil I wonder who I wonder who won are you only

watching the matches where your particular team is has born can you

actually select that I wonder France triumphs and Jacques Chirac your late

President was there watching it 22 years ago well that's going to lift your

spirits isn't it so if you're watching events

from the past things that you enjoy doing

sporting events in these troubled times it's going to mean that you can cheer

yourself up just in the same way as I mean I'm watching Shirley Bassey that's

you anybody who's a regular listener will know that I

quite fond of Shirley Bassey so I have been watching past videos from 1970s

with all my favorite singers in Shirley Bassey being one of them and it just

takes your mind off all the bad news and all the horrible horrendous things that

are going on in the world at the moment people do seem it seems want to see me

have a go on the space hopper so while mr. duncan is I think he's gone inside

to her to clear his throat Oh mr. Duncan's back mr. Duncan's back he's

plugging in lights I'm so distracted I was standing right behind you everywhere

yes people want me to have a go on the space hopper alright then I will use the

hand deliver it because now it seems that if you that hand deliveries and

deliveries of food and produce and anything you want being delivered but

straight to your door has become so popular now they have got a shortage of

people to do that oh I'm quite happy to do it I couldn't quite like to go around

delivering things to people right I'm having a go on the space up mr. Duncan

while you're setting up there and let's hope it doesn't burst I'm not sure why

but Steve has been very worried about the space hopper he seems to think that

I was criticizing you about looking silly on the space hopper but it's

actually exhausting it is okay it looks easy it looks very easy doesn't it but

in fact in reality it is not easy I also have recovered have occurred yes okay

I've got a very fast recovery time after exercise mr. Duncan it's not what I've

heard I'm not getting on this again I wish I

hadn't asked people now everybody said yes and of course I had to I had to obey

the instructions of your view list Steve's stomach is full of flapjacks it

is as I say I've had six and mr. Duncan nearly choked to death yes I'm one of

them that might be the most worrying and scary moment I've ever experienced

during my livestream I literally nearly almost choked to

death my airway literally closed do you know what it's what it's like when you

eat something and it gets stuck in your throat and then suddenly

everything starts to close up and you you can't actually breathe it it is very

distressing I'll be honest with you it is very distressing yeah so it's fine us

being close together although mr. Duncan was isolating me last week that was just

really just to demonstrate that that is what people are doing but if you live in

the same household then you can obviously be close to each other as long

as one of you hasn't got symptoms yes okay we haven't that's it so so neither

of us has any symptoms of I'm not saying it but you know what I mean out there so

we are both so yes we are both 100% well fit healthy well exactly except for mr.

Steve well you just choked nearly choked to death so you're not really healthy

mr. do I still think that Steve was trying to poison me use of word approach

approach means to go towards something if you approach something for example

mr. Steve approaches me so you are now approaching me so to approach is to move

towards or to move nearer maybe you are moving nearer to a person or an object

or maybe if we are talking about time you can also approach a certain period

of time or a certain moment Lewis says Italian language is the most beautiful

of all languages its musical hmm it is it is when people speak Italian you just

fall in love with them instantly doesn't matter who they are there's somebody at

work actually who who I met who does a similar job to me but in another part of

the country okay and she's Italian and she's come over for three years and

you know instantly all the men are in love with it I think so and it's the

same with French women as well well they say my French men they say

that about Italians very romantic a bit like the French very romantic

passionate oh yes and the Spanish Italians French Spanish are all very

romantic well that's the perception that mr. Duncan's walked off again that's the

perception that we always have in the UK are people in Spain Italy and France is

that they're very romantic very passionate whereas the British are

always seen as quite reserved stiff-upper-lip we don't get emotional

we stay calm although underneath Lizzie this is the

outward appearance that British people often have is that they would appear to

be calm underneath its turmoil but of course I think now we have become more

open English people have become more open I mean we're talking generally here

I mean I've got lots of friends who are very expressive very emotional but

generally in general terms British people tend to be quite reserved in the

way they speak and in the way they express emotion but that's just the way

we are but that's the wonderful nature of course of humanity that everybody is

different in every country every culture is different everybody is different and

what's wonderful about mr. Duncan's live streams is that he's able to interact

with people from all over the globe and he loves as you know mr. Duncan loves

teaching English I can say this now he's gone away but he absolutely loves it

he's been doing it for 13 14 years now and he wouldn't do it if he didn't

really love doing it and he believes passionately

in what he does I'm sure you all know that I keep knocking the camera mr.

Joker yes it is it's musical Italian language is musical they're almost

singing all the time because if your voice is going up and down in in tone

which you the Italian language does a lot of then it sounds musical and it is

wonderful to listen to Portuguese is not difficult says Lewis but you need time

now I don't know much Portuguese you see in the UK we would assume Portuguese is

similar to sounds ignorant to say this we would assume that it would be similar

to Spanish but of course I know it's not it's a totally different language but I

think most people in the UK would assume that they were similar it's so bright

out here mr. Duncan I need sunglasses

mr. Duncan's lights are brighter than the Sun and of course he's determined to

get it all right and that's why he's you can probably

hear noises in the background mr. Duncan is rearranging all his lights but

people say that my English is fairly neutral I don't really have an accent

I've got a sort of more of what you would describe as a standard English

accent so does mr. Duncan although I grew up in the country and my parents

came from the sort of London area so mr. Duncan is your your screen is banging

against the camera and people that would often describe my my accent as posh but

I think it's sort of neutral neutral really what you call middle England sort

of accent what's your passion well at the moment it's cooking flapjacks I

think so but yes my passion is singing - my passion is singing really music

that's my passion music and cars music and cars and science I would say

actually probably cars is number one shouldn't be really but yes I am very

passionate about cars particularly one particular car from America called a

Ford Mustang yes I've always talked on here many times about wanting to own one

of those so far mr. Duncan hasn't bought me one so maybe one day

thinking chocolate cake hmm when you talk about romantic food oh I love cake

I like the sound of that I think all food is romantic yes if you are eating

it with a loved one and you've got a bottle of wine maybe on the table and

care of me mr. Duncan that's I see I see what's happening here well I mean look I

I'm out because I haven't got don't have time to prepare it I always think it's

ingredients in the shop and I thought I'm going to make myself a salad

mixed with chopped up Tomatoes beetroot and some mayonnaise or salad cream okay

it was delicious mr. Duncan and that's made up for the six flapjacks yes you

did eat a lot of flapjacks today try Indian spicy food oh yes that's our

favorite isn't it we both like spicy food we both like curries we both like

well anything really any any food I will put virtually anything in my mouth

within reason Marina says I don't like eating with a

lighter low you can't watch what you are eating oh yes that's a very good point

that is a very good particularly in a restaurant hmm because uh we've we've

been to restaurants where the light is so low you can't even read the menu yes

and then when the food arrives you can't tell if it's been properly cooked or not

hmm so maybe take a torch with you yes or

maybe you could have one of those little helmets with the light on the front like

like miners wear and then you can see what you're eating have having a Renault

why do you want a Mustang because it's a car for a man that's why it's a big

know I don't appear to be a match oh you are guys can I just say Steve you are

well at all all I've heard since I stepped inside the house to get some

just Technic thing so if you are us if you are

filmmaker like me a well-known filmmaker we call this fill light fill light so

you fill the dark area by adding extra light so this light that I've just put

here is now filling the dark area well I was filling in yes

you were getting the filling lights in fact Steve you can use fill in many ways

f I ll yes so Steve was filling he was filling in for me because I disappeared

so Steve took over he filled in like for me I can repeat I like replaced you

and the other use of the word feel mister don't fill also means you can add

light to something so you might you might have to feel the dark area so

that's what I've done here with my extra light so what I've done is I I have

filled this dark area with an extra light and we call that fill light or

light filling so you are actually adding some extra light to the dark area and

you will often see this in movies or on television especially in television

studios you normally need lots and lots of lights inside a TV studio to to

actually illuminate and and light up all of the people on camera and the

expression fill fill is also somebody's name yes different that's it eh so fill

pH I all you can have the other fill f i double-l yes my friend fill is coming

around to for a beer hmm he's not I'm just

using that as an example because obviously we can't have people from

other households coming here that was just an example mr. Duncan but to be

honest with you I like I like the fact that we can't get near other people I'm

quite enjoying it to be honest serene snow says I can see you in a

cherry red Mustang that is the color I want convertible or hardtop hardtop hmm

because they convertible is not as structurally rigid but of course the

convertible will allow you to listen to the exhaust note so maybe I need to and

cherry red the color I actually want I can't remember what it's called but it's

a more of a a deeper red more of a sort of a blood Ferrari red I can't remember

what they call it in the Mustang but it's more of a somewhere between a blood

red and a sort of a burgundy color look I don't want bright red like a pillar

box red but the blood red would be useful if you hit someone true hmm and

then yes exactly ah good point mrs. M very good of course

we're only doing 23 miles to the gallon you're not going to get very far in fact

I worked out that even though it's got a very large fuel tank okay then it will

only take you about 220 miles with a full tank on a Ford Mustang because it's

so bad with fuel and electric cars are actually taking you further than that

hmm interesting hi I have no idea what you just said

wait sometimes it's gone over your head mr. Duncan mr. Duncan is looking

beautiful beautiful April it is April looking beautiful yes it is it's a

beautiful April day however most people have to stay indoors yesterday a lot of

people were going out Steve breaking the social distancing rules they were all

going to the park or to the local grass area where there is a lot of green

they were all going outside yesterday to have their sunbathe they were sunbathing

so a lot of people were breaking these rules that are now in force here in the

UK Vita says what about the car the Cobra yes I know the Cobra

it's a 1960s car the AC Cobra I think it used to be called we think it was made

by a company called AC a big macho soft top car with a big 8 cylinder engine I

love those sorts of cars yes but the Cobra was was renowned for

being its handling was very unpredictable and you could go too fast

around a corner and put your foot down and find yourself backwards in a hedge

they were very renowned for having very unstable dangerous handling so so you

could easily have an accident in that car yes they used to call them a bit

like the Porsche 911 back in the sixties and seventies and the eighties they to

call it the Widowmaker opted because people who used to drive 1980s 911s

would find that the car would often turn itself around didn't can you actually

imagine if a car was produced and actually on the back of the car it said

we don't make it so that was actually the name of the car could you imagine

that happening well of course now that the Porsche 911 is a very safe car

because of modern electronics but back in the nineteen eighties stockbrokers

who made lots of money on the on the stock markets would often buy these cars

and that was back in the day when you didn't have traction control or

electronic control to have to stop you going off the road if you did something

press your foot on the accelerator too much okay and people would often buy

these Porsche 911s and you know put your foot down on the accelerator too much

around a corner and it used to turn around with the engine was at the back

are you doing this for yourself here now yes Steve doesn't appear to be actually

presenting this live stream anymore I think

interesting question what do you think about heaven and hell well behind me you

can see heaven it's lovely it's beautiful and next to me you can see

hell so this is my hell and behind me is my heaven so I I hope that answers your

stay far away from other people in Much Wenlock and this will keep them from

dangerous diseases I like this type of place to live in

television pro s you are but the problem is when you when you talk about

something you become very passionate and before we know what's going on you are

starting to sound like Alex Jones so what if I am NOT passionate I just stay

level-headed and just say the facts basically it was a program you're gonna

tell you now well I'm gonna tell you this short version instead of actually

going through it verbatim a program about people who live in nuclear bunkers

because they constantly believe that the world is coming to an end and that's it

see so that was it that was the program and the yes and the the what what they

now during this difficult time apparently they've been selling record

numbers of these bunkers in I think mainly in America yes it will be America

this is the sort of nutcase crazy thing that can only happen in the United

States in the United States yes because

everyone's got guns or has access to go everyone and well even children it's

called in babies you know if you imagine a baby with a gun but you can imagine in

America's a vast country and they're a relatively young country you know

compared to China for example or Russia or Europe and less people feel very

vulnerable there they think that there may be another another revolution could

happen there isn't and people need to protect themselves I'm just I know that

I'm just saying that's what they know this is what I knew was the people have

got guns yes they want to be protected there's Martin hello Martin Martin our

mean it was incredible to watch this program people spending tens of

thousands of there was one some chap mr. Duncan bought this it literally was an

old nuclear bunker with about 15 floors going underground okay you got a

swimming pool in there and everything and it was like a hotel underground how

much it costs to are you sure he wasn't a a villain from a superhero movie well

he could have been yeah alright so how long are we going to stay on for mr.

Duncan because I've got to go and do my charity your charity Dave is going next

door to cut the neighbors grass and it's a very small piece of grass and it will

take him it will take him about ten minutes so this is not really charity

what is what Steve is doing he is trying to make himself look better I'm amongst

the Duncan amongst the neighbors I am just steve is virtue signaling

look at me look at the wonderful work I'm doing for everyone well I'm you

doing charity by doing this just this just

like it does feel like a charity sometimes I'm going what a help because

at the moment because people can't visit other people's houses mm-hmm we've got

neighbors here who you know elderly they're getting on in years and they're

gardeners because they can't cut the grass themselves or trim the hedges do

the weeding then and because the gardeners can't come because they're not

allowed to because we're in lockdown then I'm going to go across and help out

although in theory I shouldn't be going there either well who's gonna care for

you because you're also in that age bracket where you are vulnerable and and

you know you need you need extra care during these these difficult times but

you're the one that needs to care choking on my flapjack yes well that's

your fool do you want another one no one I don't I think do I have

insurance that I'm not aware of maybe I have life insurance there are I think we

know to change the subject mr. Duncan there's no way I've taken out life

insurance on you without you knowing yes so I think maybe Steve has taken out

life insurance against me and and so if I if if I choke to death on his flapjack

I have a feeling that Steve will get lots of money I think so mr. Duncan

yesterday was so exhausted after his three hour livestream how he fell asleep

I did I went up onto the bed yesterday and I I fell asleep I don't remember

anything do you ever do that do you ever go upstairs and you just think I will

sit on the bed for a few minutes just to relax and then suddenly you wake up and

you've been asleep for about two hours and that's what happened to me yesterday

I was so exhausted yesterday after my livestream you give so much mr. Jenkins

like you gave give gave like you I have to go and shake you yes awake yes

because I've got this delicious meal yes well I knew I wasn't sure what was going

on because I woke up and Steve had his hands

all over me trying to wake me up and I suddenly thought it's not my birthday

next-door neighbor or our next-door neighbors grass thank you very much

Steve I'm going to trim her bushes as well I think next year when they

announced the Nobel prizes for people who have done really nice things for

other people I think you will win the prize because you went next door and you

cut that small piece of gratis doing my bit for society one we got to help each

other in these troubled times wonderful so you know I like cutting

grass anyway great and I've serviced my petrol lawnmower okay and I'm raring to

go okay Oh talking of raring to go which means that you're very excited What's

Wrong wailing together do you want to go I was explaining the the term raring to

go Oh if you are raring to go it means you are eager you want to leave but

actually did you know it actually comes from rearing no rearing as I understand

it it comes from rearing so maybe a horse that it wants to ride off it will

often rear it will often get ready to run off fight it

sounds like the highlight of your day besides watching me choke to death that

don't want any accidents because as we've said we do not want to go to

think to yourself I can do these dangerous jobs that the workmen would

have done like fixing your roof chopping down trees because you could get

yourself injured yeah climbing ladders to clear out guttering

mmm leaves going up ladders going up trees anything that involves you being

higher and you could be thinking I can't get my chapter come round your fix no

way is that what you call him well you can't call Steve calls Steve it's that

does move by the way it's been annoying me the whole time you know what

sometimes I worry about Steve I don't like to fiddle with your equipment

mister don't know I've noticed I know you don't like to touch my

equipment you get very annoyed when I handle your equipment you do yes I do

well you always treat my equipment so roughly because of your big banana hands

I have got big banana you always grab things too hard and so my equipment is

easily damaged well that's it well you just need to toughen up a little don't

be tempted because you can't get somebody around to clear out your

guttering yes to get you put a ladder up against the side of that house and do it

like you're talking like a character from Jeeves and Wooster they have a chap

that comes round every Friday and he trims my lawn yeah but don't because I

mean I was going to go and buy what was I gonna go and buy mr. Duncan you're

gonna go and buy a chainsaw a chainsaw can you imagine this little runt this

runty little man can you can you run me can you imagine this chicken wings yes I

can you imagine this no I wanna can you imagine him with a with a

chainsaw well if I'm going to drive a Ford Mustang I've got to be out of

handle manly machinery like a chainsaw chainsaw I mean I had that grinder

didn't die mr. Duncan you do the grinder but I damned buster I damaged my tendons

I thought you deleted that from your phone I used a grinder on the railings

that we've got above the house here and I'd never used a grinder before and it's

quite difficult to use and it's the vibrations damage attendants two years

for joking I often find that grinders and vibrations often go together so I

was going to buy because we normally have somebody to come round we have a

cream we have a chap that comes round well a gardener who will do the jobs

that I find too dangerous to do like getting up on ladders and trimming the

bushes so I thought I'll get myself a chainsaw and do it myself and mr. Duncan

very sensibly hmm dissuaded me dissuaded me I said I said to Steve I said you do

realize that the first day you you get your chainsaw you will try it and you

will probably cut at least two of your limbs off from your body I mean I was

baking today and I've burnt myself in three places on the oven I don't even

trust Steve with with it with a spoon never mind a chainsaw

so anyway well done mr. Duncan you prevented maybe a serious accident and a

trip to a knee hmm which we don't want so I'm going to go mr. Duncan yes and as

I say go and help out the elderly in your village and I also will help out

the elderly later so what do you want to eat tonight do you want something nice

do you want your mushy fingers I'm being fish fingers and beans do you want some

fish fingers and beans shall I cut your fish fingers up into little pieces and

then like I will put them into your mouth you mouthy mouth

the wealthy he treats me so shabd shudder leaders your cuddly social

shabbily and shoddily ee if you cheat somebody shabbily or shoddily means you

don't treat them very well so Steven like rubbish yes you're starting to

the sound of a cat screaming very loudly that means that mr. Steve's lawnmower

has just gone over my neighbor's cat rat which went missing for a week and then
