My trick to remember these is to

think about how you enter the vehicle.

차량에 어떻게 들어갈지 생각하는 것입니다.

If you enter like this, standing on your feet,

이렇게 발로 서서 들어가면

we use 'on'.

'on'을 사용합니다.

That's why we get on a bus, on a train, on a tram, on a plane and on a boat.

이것이 바로 우리가 버스, 기차, 트램, 비행기, 보트를 타는 이유입니다.

The space is big, so we can stand 'on' it. The opposite is 'off'.

공간이 넓어서 우리는 그 위에 설 수 있습니다. 그 반대는 '오프'이다.

So we get on the bus and then we get off the bus.

그래서 우리는 버스를 타고 버스에서 내립니다 .

If you enter like this and immediately have to sit down

이렇게 들어갔는데

because the space is so small, we use 'in'.

공간이 너무 작아서 바로 앉아야 한다면 'in'을 사용합니다.

That's why we say we are in a car, in a taxi, in a van, in a truck

이것이 바로 우리가 자동차 안에, 택시 안에, 밴 안에, 트럭

or lorry and in a helicopter.

The opposite is 'out'.

반대말은 '아웃'이다.

So we get in the car, we go somewhere,

What about a bike?

We aren't standing on the bike or
