Because of vs Due to — English Grammar #shorts

'Because of' answers the question why did  something happen. It's focused on the why  

'때문에'는 왜 어떤 일이 일어났느냐는 질문에 답합니다.

of an action so we can say, "We canceled  the trip because of the heavy rain."  

"폭우 때문에 여행을 취소했습니다."라고 말할 수 있도록 행동의 이유에 초점을 맞춥니다 .

Why was the trip canceled?  Because of the heavy rain.  

여행이 취소된 이유는 무엇입니까? 폭우 때문입니다.

However, due to answers the question what  caused something. Something is a noun  

그러나 무엇이 원인인지에 대한 답변으로 인해 Something은 명사이므로

so to make this work I have to change the  verb canceled to its noun form cancellation.  

이 작업을 수행하려면 취소된 동사를 명사형 취소로 변경해야 합니다.

"The cancellation of the  trip was due to heavy rain."  

"여행 취소는 폭우로 인한 것이었습니다."

What caused the cancellation? The  heavy rain. Now we've got it right.
