Learn DON'T HAVE and DOESN'T HAVE | Basic English Grammar Course

In this video, we’re going to learn negatives with ‘have’ and ‘has’.

このビデオでは、「have」と「has」を使った否定表現を学びます。

Now this also pretty easy.

これもかなり簡単になりました。

You just have to remember everything that I wrote.

私が書いたことをすべて覚えていればいいのです。

Okay.

So, let’s take a look at the board.

Okay, first, for ‘I’, we use, “I don’t have…”

まず、「私」については、「I don't have…」と使います。

Remember, ‘don’t’ is a contraction for ‘do not’.

「don't」は「do not」の短縮形であることに注意してください。

“I don’t have…”

「私は…を持っていません」

For ‘he, ‘she’ and ‘it’, we use ‘doesn’t have’.

「彼」、「彼女」、「それ」については、「doesn't have」を使います。

‘Doesn’t’ is a contraction for ‘does not’.

「Doesn't」は「does not」の短縮形です。

“He doesn’t have…”

「彼は…を持っていない」

“She doesn’t have…”

「彼女は…を持っていない」

“It doesn’t have…”

「それは…を持っていない」

Now on the bottom.

今は最下位です。

For ‘you’, ‘we’, ‘they’, it’s the same as ‘I’.

「あなた」、「私たち」、「彼ら」にとっても、それは「私」と同じです。

We use ‘don’t have’.

私たちは「持っていない」を使います。

“You don’t have…”

「あなたは…を持っていない」

“We don’t have…” and “They don’t have…”

「私たちは…を持っていない」「彼らは…を持っていない」

So, let’s look at these pictures.

それでは、これらの写真を見てみましょう。

Remember, we have a rabbit and a carrot.

覚えておいてください、私たちにはウサギとニンジンがいます。

So, we said, “It has a carrot.”

Okay, but, we’re doing negatives, so we have to say,

“It doesn’t have a cake.”

“It doesn’t have a cake.”

Okay.

Now here, we have the ants and an apple.

So, we said, “They have an apple.”

But for this banana here, we have to say, “They don’t have a banana.”

Okay, let’s move on to some more practice.

さて、もう少し練習に移りましょう。

Now let’s try this practice with the negatives ‘doesn’t have’ and ‘don’t have’ together.

では、否定語の「ない」と「ない」を組み合わせてこの練習をしてみましょう。

Now this is a little easy because we know that the second word is have.

2 番目の単語が have であることがわかっているので、これは少し簡単です。

All you have to think is should we use ‘doesn’t’ or ‘don’t’.

Okay.

So, I’m just going to put ‘have’ her first.

If you remember, for ‘she’, we use ‘doesn’t’.

And again, I’m going to put ‘have’ first.

This is easy.

‘He’ and ‘she’ we both use ‘doesn’t’.

「彼」と「彼女」はどちらも「しない」を使います。

“He doesn’t have an umbrella.”

「彼は傘を持っていません。」

Okay.

わかった。

How about for ‘I’?

「私」の場合はどうでしょうか？

“I doesn’t have….”

「私は持っていない…。」

Or “I don’t have…”?

それとも「持っていない…」でしょうか？

The correct answer is ‘don’t’.

正解は「しない」です。

“I don’t have a wife.”

「私には妻がいません。」

“People…”

「人々…」

Remember, if we have more than one person, animal and thing, we have to think of ‘they’.

複数の人、動物、物がある場合、「彼ら」について考えなければならないことを覚えておいてください。

For ‘they’, do we use ‘don’t’ or ‘doesn’t’?

「彼ら」については、「しない」または「しない」を使用しますか?

Do you remember?

覚えていますか？

The correct answer is ‘don’t’.

正解は「しない」です。

“People don’t have manners.”

「人々はマナーを持っていない。」

Next.

“We…”

“We ‘blank’ have money.”

The correct answer is ‘don’t’.

“We don’t have money.”

Okay, and the last one.

A snake is an animal.

What do we use for an animal?

動物には何を使うのでしょうか？

“It.”

What should we put here?

ここには何を入れましょうか？

“It…doesn’t…have legs.”

「それは…足が無い…」

Okay, so that was our practice the negatives ‘don’t have’ and ‘doesn’t have’.
