How to stay motivated while learning at home

and today I’ll share five tips with you to help you keep

enjoying learning while at home.

I know we're going through a tough time now,

but I hope these tips

will help keep you motivated from the comfort of your house.

but don’t forget to do it in English.

Learning a new skill

through English will increase your vocabulary tremendously

and you will make progress in no time.

There’s a lot of online courses out there waiting for you.

For example,

Udemy.com offers more than 100 000 courses online.

I love music, for example,

and I'm learning to play the piano

through YouTube tutorials.

Games like League of Legends or Fortnite allow you to connect

with people from all over the world.

Try to connect with people from different countries

whose first language is not the same as yours.

You'll have to use English to communicate with your team

and beat your rivals.

If you want to learn vocabulary, I recommend using Wordable.

this application allows you to play against other learners

of your same level.

You can learn new words and have fun at the same time.

Keep an eye on your time and set

a schedule to work on your English,

making sure you also take regular breaks.

This will keep you busy and focussed on your goals.

Things like learning ten words,

or reading a book for 15 minutes every day,

will help you achieve your goals.

Set reasonable goals and stick to them,

and you will see that little by little you'll get closer

to your final dream.

Then treat yourself.

You can treat yourself with something you really like.

It could be either an ice cream or watching a movie.

Or how about taking a day off?

It's up to you.

Don’t forget to interact with others.

It's important to avoid feeling isolated and lonely.

Apps like HelloTalk

and Lingbe let you find English native speakers

who are interested in learning your first language.

How about practicing English with them

while you help them with your mother tongue?

Plus, both apps are free.

Writing makes you more aware of your language.

You have more time to think about the words and structures

that you are using.

WordPress is wonderful

if you want to start your own journal.

Write about anything you like and share it with your friends.

If you're a beginner,

you can start by writing short texts.

This will make you more confident and you will see

how it becomes easier and easier.
