This is asking about the specific position.

Now you can also say do you like your work,  and this is more focused on the tasks you do,

but ultimately they're the same and a native  speaker would use them interchangeably.

However, you cannot say she got  a new work, she got a new work.

This is because work is a collective noun.

So in the example sentence it use ah.

You can't use ah with work  because work is a collective noun.

Work would stay as the singular  because it's a collective.

Now remember work is also a verb to work.

So you could say right now I'm working  the verb in the present continuous.

I'm working to jobs, two jobs,  2 positions to make ends meet,

So with the story of the company,  you're going to hear a story,

If you want to ask a question like that,

you actually have to change the structure  and say how long have you been married.

So grammatically, often both sentences are  correct, but the meaning is very different.

그래서 문법적으로 보면 두 문장 모두 옳지만, 의미는 매우 다른 경우가 많습니다.

and a recipe provides instructions.

confusing pronunciation,  totally different meanings.

Morale, morale.

사기, 사기.

Watching the gossip and lifting  the morale in the house.

소문을 듣고 집안의 사기를 북돋우세요.

Now compare that to moral.

이제 이것을 도덕성과 비교해보세요.

Moral.

The sound is less stressed.

도의적인.

소리의 강조가 덜합니다.

I don't open my mouth as wide moral moral.

나는 도덕적 도덕에 대해 입을 크게 벌리지 않는다.

Now a moral is a lesson about right or wrong.

도덕은 옳고 그름에 대한 교훈입니다.

It's also standards of right or wrong.

So you can think of it as  ethical lessons or ethical codes.

It tells you how to behave.

This is the level of confidence  or enthusiasm in a group.

It's very common in business.

You can think of it as the  team spirit or the team mood.

이것을 팀 정신이나 팀 분위기라고 생각하면 됩니다.

So the moral of the story, the lesson,

the ethical lesson, the moral of  the story, which is very common.

The moral of the story is  to always tell the truth.

Or parents should teach  their children strong morals.

혹은 부모는 자녀들에게 강한 도덕성을 가르쳐야 합니다.

As a noun, you can have singular or plural morals.

명사로서 단수형 또는 복수형 도덕을 가질 수 있습니다.

Employee morale.

직원의 사기.

Remember, this is commonly  used in a business context.

이건 일반적으로 비즈니스 맥락에서 사용된다는 걸 기억하세요.

It can also be used in a sports context.

스포츠 분야에서도 사용할 수 있습니다.

Anything where teams are involved.

팀이 참여하는 모든 곳.

Employee morale improved, so the spirit, the  mood, the confidence of the group of the team.

직원들의 사기가 향상되었고, 팀 구성원들의 정신, 기분, 자신감도 향상되었습니다.

Employee morale improved after the company gave  bonuses, or you could say after the CEO quit,  

회사가 보너스를 지급한 후에 직원들의 사기가 개선되었지만 , CEO가 그만둔 후에

the company's morale dropped to an all time low.

회사의 사기가 역대 최저로 떨어졌다고 할 수 있습니다.

So the mood, the spirit, the  confidence of the team was low.

그래서 팀의 분위기, 정신, 자신감이 낮았습니다.

So the pronunciation is virtually identical when  

따라서 resident가 복수형일 경우 발음은 사실상 동일하며

resident is in the plural form,  and it sounds like residence.

, residency처럼 들립니다.

So this might be confusing in spoken English.

그래서 말로 표현되는 영어에서는 혼란스러울 수 있습니다.

You can say his official  residence place where he lives.

그가 살고 있는 공식 거주지를 말할 수 있습니다.

His official residence is in New York.

그의 공식 거주지는 뉴욕에 있다.

You could also say residents of New  York, people who live in New York.

뉴욕 거주자 , 뉴욕에 사는 사람이라고도 말할 수 있습니다.

Residents of New York must pay a new tax.

뉴욕 거주자는 새로운 세금을 내야 합니다.

Now you can use this in the singular and  there's less confusion with the pronunciation.

이제 이것을 단수형으로 사용할 수 있으며 발음의 혼란도 줄었습니다.

She's all resident in the new senior residence,  the place where seniors live or in the plural,  

그녀는 모두 새로운 노인 복지 시설에 거주하고 있습니다. 노인들이 사는 곳이거나 복수형으로

where it sounds similar, identical their  residents in the new senior residents.

발음하면 새로운 노인 복지 시설에 거주하는 노인들과 비슷하고 동일합니다.

Our final confusing pair, weather and climate.

마지막으로 혼란스러운 쌍은 날씨와 기후입니다.

What's the like today?

오늘은 어떤가요?

The keyword is today.

키워드는 오늘입니다.

So today we need weather because weather  

그래서 오늘날 우리에게는 날씨가 필요합니다. 왜냐하면 날씨는

is for short term conditions in a  specific place at a specific time.

특정한 장소에서 특정한 시간에 나타나는 단기적인 상태를 나타내기 때문입니다.

Climate is of course the longer term  conditions in a specific place and  

물론 기후는 특정 장소의 장기적인 조건이며

it's over a significant period of time, 30 years.

30년이라는 상당한 기간에 걸쳐 나타납니다.

So you can of course ask what's  the weather like in Singapore.

그러니 당연히 싱가포르의 날씨가 어떤지 물어볼 수 있겠죠 .

If you ask that, you're basically  saying today or right now.

그렇게 묻는다면, 기본적으로 오늘 또는 지금 당장을 말하는 거예요. 싱가포르

If you ask what's the climate like in  Singapore, you're going to get a different  

의 기후가 어떤지 묻는다면 , 다른 답변을 듣게 될 겁니다.

answer because that means in general,  not necessarily right now, in general.

왜냐하면 그것은 지금 당장의 기후라기보다는 전반적으로 그렇다는 뜻이기 때문입니다.

So both are grammatically correct, but  the answer you receive will be different.

따라서 두 문장 모두 문법적으로는 옳지만, 받게 되는 답변은 다릅니다.

Now you could say we had to cancel  the event because of the weather.

이제 날씨 때문에 이벤트를 취소해야 했다고 말할 수 있겠습니다 .

The event takes place on a specific  day, so it's not climate, it's weather.

이 행사는 특정한 날에 진행되므로 기후가 중요한 것이 아니라 날씨입니다.

But you can make a general statement  and say we have less outdoor events  

하지만 기후 변화로 인해 야외 행사가 줄었다고 일반적인 진술을 할 수도 있습니다

because of climate change,  because of climate change.

.

So that's talking about overall  and not necessarily now.

그러니까 이 말은 전반적인 것에 대해 말하는 것이지 지금 당장에 말하는 것은 아닙니다.
