Improve Your Vocabulary: Use Advanced Words instead of Simple Words

Today we gonna learn 12 advanced English words so that you can use to sound more natural. 

今日は、より自然に聞こえるように、12 の高度な英単語を学習 します。

One of the best ways to sound fluent is to use advanced words instead of simple words.

流暢に聞こえるようにする最善の方法の 1 つは、 単純な単語の代わりに高度な単語を使用することです。

Let’s practice changing some  simple words with an adverb “very” 

副詞「very」を含むいくつかの単純な単語を高度な単語に変える練習をしましょう

into advanced words

The first one is very nice. 

。最初の単語はとてもいいです。

Instead of saying very nice you  can simply say amazing or awesome 

非常に素晴らしいと言う代わりに、 単に素晴らしいまたは素晴らしいと

You can say: ‘That’s amazing” or "That’s awesome"

言うことができます。「それは素晴らしい」または「それは素晴らしい」と言うことができます

The second one is very good. Instead of saying "It’s a very good movie" 

。 「とても良い映画です」と言う代わりに、

you can say "exceptional" "It’s an exceptional movie"

「並外れた」 「並外れた映画です」と言えます

Number three is very funny. You can say – hilarious.  Hilarious means extremely  funny, merry and cheerful. 

。3 番目はとても面白いです。 あなたは言うことができます–陽気です。 陽気とは、非常に愉快で陽気で陽気であることを意味し ます。

Number - 4 Instead of saying very badyou can say dreadful 

数字 - 4 非常に悪いと言う代わりに、恐ろしいと言うことができ

And you probably know the word ‘awful’ That’s another one you can use.

Number 5. Very scared.

5番。 とても怖い。

Instead of saying "I am very scared"  it’s better to say “I’m terrified”.

Number 6 very new 

ナンバー 6 非常に新しい

You can say brand new

新品の

Number 7 - very beautiful. You can say "stunning" 

ナンバー 7 と言えます。とても美しいです。 「見事な」

or "gorgeous'

または「ゴージャスな」

Number 8 – very surprised 

8 番 – 非常に驚いた

Instead of saying "I was very surprised" you can say "I was stunned".

と 言うことができます。

Number 9 

very rich you can say Prosperous

Number 10 Instead of saying "very angry" 

you can say "indignant" If someone is indignant, 

あなたは「憤慨している」と言うことができます. 誰かが憤慨している場合、

he is shocked and angry, because he  thinks that something is unjust or unfair.

彼は 何かが不当または不公平であると考えているため、ショックを受けて怒っています

Number 11. instead of saying "very loud"

.11. 「非常に大声で」と言う代わりに、

you can say "deafening". 

「耳をつんざく」と言うことができます.

The word “deafening” means so loud that  it’s impossible to hear anything else.

「耳をつんざく」という言葉は、

Number 12- very important 

12 番 - 非常に重要

instead of "very important" you can say “crucial” This word means extremely important or necessary.

「非常に重要」の代わりに「非常に重要」と言うことができます この言葉は、非常に重要または必要であることを意味します。

And now we are going to  practice what we've learned.

そして今、 私たちが学んだことを練習します。

Let’s practice all these words in sentences

1. She is a very nice person to talk to. She is an amazing person to talk to.

2. Getting up early is a very good habit. Getting up early is an exceptional habit.

。 習慣. 早起きは例外的な習慣.

3. He made me laugh by telling a very funny joke. 

3. 彼はとても面白い冗談を言って私を笑わせた.

He made me laugh by telling a hilarious joke. 4.They told us very bad news. 

彼は陽気な冗談を言って私を笑わせた. 4.彼らは私たちに非常に悪い知らせを伝えました。

They told us the dreadful news. or They told us the awful news.  

彼らは私たちに恐ろしい知らせを伝えました。 または 彼らは私たちにひどいニュースを伝えました。

5. He was very scared of losing his job. He was terrified of losing his job.

5. 彼は仕事を失うことをとても恐れていた. 彼は職を失うことを恐れていた.

6. We can afford to buy a new car We can afford to buy a brand new car

6. 私たちは新しい車 を買う余裕があります 私たちは真新しい車を買う余裕があり

7. The girl looks very beautiful in that dress! The girl looks stunning in that dress!

8. We were very surprised at  the results of the competition. 

8. コンテストの結果には非常に驚きまし た。

We were stunned by the results of the competition. 

私たちは大会の結果に驚いた。

Pay attention that we don’t  use the same prepositions here.

ここでは同じ前置詞を使用しないことに注意してください。

We were very surprised at the results But We were stunned by the results

私たちはその結果に非常に驚いたが、結果に は唖然とした

9. New York is a very rich city. New York is a prosperous city.

9. ニューヨークは非常に豊かな都市です。 ニューヨークは繁栄した都市です。

10. He became very angry when he lost the game. He became indignant when he lost the game.

10. ゲームに負けたとき、彼はとても怒った。 ゲームに負けたとき、彼は憤慨した。

11. The noise out in the street was very loud. The noise out in the street was deafening.

11. 通りの騒音がとてもうるさかった。 通りの騒音は耳をつんざくようなものでした。

12. She raised a very important  question at the meeting. 

12. 彼女は会議で非常に重要な 質問をしました。

She raised a crucial question at the meeting.

彼女は会議で重要な質問をした。
