English Pattern Training Speaking Practice

here we go we are going to do some English  speaking practice we're going to work with  

a pattern a common pattern in the English  language here it is if there's one thing  

that blanks me it's blank what does  that mean what does it let's take a  

look at a sentence let's just jump into  some training okay I want you to hear  

it and say it if there's one thing  that upsets me it's my forgetfulness

okay did you catch it I said if there's  one thing that upsets me it's my

forgetfulness all right so that's the  one thing that really upsets me the  

one thing that really upsets me is  the fact that I am very forgetful  

I am very forgetful forgetful  forgetfulness I am forgetful um  

my forgetfulness upsets me English is weird all  right if there's one thing that upsets me it's my

forgetfulness all right you could you could  say it's my tendency to forget things or you  

could say it's my always forgetting things there's  other things you can say instead of forgetfulness  

all right listen to this one if there's one thing  that annoys me it's people who don't keep their

promises okay that one was a little bit longer if  

there's one thing that annoys me  it's people who don't keep their

promises okay so people who don't keep  the the people that or who don't keep  

their promises those people they annoy me  there's one thing that annoys me it just  

means it really annoys me if there's one thing  that annoys me if there's only one thing that  

annoys me it's an exaggeration really it  it doesn't mean only one thing annoys me  

no it just means it really annoys me all  right how about this one if there's one  

thing that disappoints me it's his failure  to manage his time reasonably responsibly

responsibly he cannot manage his time responsibly  he's not responsible with his time he manages his  

time poorly all right that's the one thing that  dis disappoints me you notice all these this is  

disappoint me this one was annoy me and that one  was upset me so if there's one thing that upsets  

me annoys me disappoints me it's and then you  give the reason what what it is that you don't  

like or disappoints you or it could be positive  too if there's one thing that gets me excited  

it's blank or something like that the makes  me happy is blank all right let's try another

are if there's one thing that  surprises me is is winning the

competition if there's one thing that  surprises me it's his winning the

competition so the fact that he won the  competition that really surprised me if  

there's one thing that surprises me it's  his winning the competition you say it

design all right we got this let's look  at a little mini conversation now here's  

the here's the mini conversation is that  pesky lady coming to the office again do  

you know pesky what is pesky pesky is annoying  is that annoying lady or a person that causes  

trouble could be a dog causing trouble pesky  is that pesky lady coming to the office again  

oh no is she coming to the office again I  don't want to see her yeah I'm afraid so  

she is coming to the office I'm afraid that  she is coming to the office I'm afraid so

is there oh wait if there's one  thing that bugs me it's her critical

attitude her critical attitude she  criticizes everything she's a Critic  

she's very critical she her attitude  is very critical so she's like she  

she's she's a Karen all right if there's  one thing that bugs me it's her critical

attitude yeah well that's just her personality I

guess that's just the way she  is that's her personality yeah

guess good good but it's so annoying  she tries to make me feel stupid

sometimes but it's so annoying annoying she  annoys me her her attitude is annoying her  

peskiness is annoying why is it annoying  because she tries to make me feel stupid

sometimes well maybe that's because you are  stupid no just kidding that's a joke all right  

let let's practice saying that but it's so  annoying she tries to make me feel stupid

sometimes there we go just don't pay  any attention to her she won't stay

long don't pay any attention just don't pay any  

attention to her she won't stay in  the office very long she she'll leave

again ah if there's one thing  that bugs me it's her critical

attitude but it's so annoying  she tries to make me feel stupid

sometimes okay I just won't pay any  attention to her I I'll go to the  

bathroom and stay in there for 15  minutes and wait for her to leave  

just kidding all right let's switch  rolls this time you are the red text

guess just don't pay any attention to her she  won't she won't stay long yeah all right good
