Meaning of QUITE A FEW - A Really Short English Lesson with Subtitles

So the phrase "quite a few" can be somewhat confusing for people who are learning English

따라서 "quite a few"라는 문구는 영어를 배우는 사람들에게 다소 혼란스러울 수 있습니다.

because you might have learned the word "few" and if I was to say, "I went to watch a basketball

it actually means that there a lot of spectators there.

실제로는 관중이 많다는 뜻입니다 .

So if I was to say there were just a few or there were a few it would mean that there

그래서 적다, 적다 하면 적다는 뜻이고,

weren't very many but if I was to say that there were quite a few it would mean that

많다고 하면

there are a lot there.

많다는 뜻이 됩니다.

Right now I'm making supper for my family.

I shouldn't be outside because I have quite a few things on the stove cooking right now,
