Meaning of LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE - A Really Short English Lesson with Subtitles

So sometimes in life things don't go the way you want them to, but it's always good to

look on the bright side.

When you look on the bright side you always try to find something positive when something

doesn't go your way.

Here's a great example: If you look at the sky behind me you can see that the clouds

are pretty dark, and it will probably rain, and Jen and I have a lot of work to do on

the farm tonight, and we would rather get that work done.

But if we look on the bright side all of these flowers, there's some sunflowers here, and

there's some zinnias over here, and in the distance you can see my soybean field, all

of these plants need rain.

So if we look on the bright side, even though we would rather work outside tonight, if it

rains the plants will have some water.
