English Idioms: In a Nutshell - Definition and Examples

Hello, this is Jack from tofluency.com, and in this English lesson,

we're going to have a look at the idiom: in a nutshell.

Now, I used this idiom in one my videos I made,

So, to give you some context I was answering a question about

how to learn new words and phrases in English.

I had already made a video about that and, therefore,

in this video, I wanted to give a summary;

that's why I said: in a nutshell.

So, we use this when we want to briefly describe something

or we want to briefly tell a story; it's a great way to just give a summary; to

tell people the you're only going to give a summary.
