Now, in this video, we’re going to talk about subjective pronouns,

आता, या व्हिडिओमध्ये, आपण व्यक्तिपरक सर्वनाम,

‘be’ verbs, and also, contractions.

'be' क्रियापद आणि आकुंचन बद्दल बोलणार आहोत

So let’s take a look at the board.

Okay. First, we have the subjective pronouns.

ठीक आहे. प्रथम, आपल्याकडे व्यक्तिपरक सर्वनाम आहेत.

And we have the ‘be’ verbs: am, is, and are.

आणि आपल्याकडे 'be' क्रियापद आहेत: am, is, आणि are.

Okay. So let’s look at the first one.

“I am”. “I am Esther”.

"मी आहे". "मी एस्तेर आहे".

The contraction for ‘I am’ is ‘I’m’.

“I’m”.

Now, a contraction is a more common way of saying subjective pronouns and their ‘be’ verb.

आता, आकुंचन हा व्यक्तिपरक सर्वनाम आणि त्यांचे 'be' क्रियापद म्हणण्याचा अधिक सामान्य मार्ग आहे.

It’s faster and quicker and shorter.

ते जलद आणि जलद आणि लहान आहे.

Okay, it’s more common.

I want you to use contractions. Okay.

So, “I am” becomes “I’m”.

and “They are”. The contraction is “they’re”.

Okay, let’s move on to the next part.

We’re going to take a look at some sentences using the ‘be’ verbs.

ठीक आहे.

आपण 'be' क्रियापद वापरून काही वाक्ये पाहणार आहोत.

Now, notice on the board, I only used contractions.

आता, बोर्डवर नोटीस, मी फक्त आकुंचन वापरले.

Okay.

ठीक आहे.

For example, instead of “I am”, I’m going to say “I’m”.

उदाहरणार्थ, “मी आहे” ऐवजी, मी “मी आहे” असे म्हणणार आहे.

So, the first sentence. “I’m a student”.

तर, पहिले वाक्य. "मी एक विद्यार्थी आहे".

Okay. This means one.

ठीक आहे. याचा अर्थ एक.

So we have to say, “a student”.

म्हणून आपण म्हणावे लागेल, “एक विद्यार्थी”.

“a”

“अ”

Now many people make the mistake of saying,

आता बरेच लोक “मी विद्यार्थी आहे” असे म्हणण्याची चूक करतात

“I’m student”, but that’s wrong. Okay.

, पण ते चुकीचे आहे. ठीक आहे.

You have to put ‘a’.

तुम्हाला 'अ' लावावा लागेल.

Now, before I read it, you have to listen carefully.

आता, मी ते वाचण्याआधी, तुम्हाला लक्षपूर्वक ऐकावे लागेल.

‘I’m a’ - sounds like one word.

'मी एक आहे' - एक शब्द वाटतो.

“I’m a…” “I’m a…”

“मी एक आहे…” “मी एक आहे…”

“I’m a student”.

Okay, the next one, again, sounds like one word.

Okay. The next sentence has ‘it’.

Now remember, ‘it’ is only used for a place, a thing or an animal.

आता लक्षात ठेवा, 'ते' फक्त एखाद्या ठिकाणासाठी, वस्तूसाठी किंवा प्राण्यांसाठी वापरले जाते.

So we can’t have those things be a student.

म्हणून आम्ही त्या गोष्टी विद्यार्थी असू शकत नाही.

So we have to say, “It’s a dog”.

We took out the ‘a’ and we put an ‘s’

because ‘we’re’ means many people.

Not one student, but many students.

एक विद्यार्थी नाही तर अनेक विद्यार्थी.

So, we have to say, “we’re students”.

The same thing goes for ‘they’.

Again, ‘they’ means many people…or many things.

पुन्हा, 'ते' म्हणजे अनेक लोक…किंवा अनेक गोष्टी.

Here, we put ‘s’. And we took out the ‘a’.

इथे 's' टाकतो. आणि आम्ही 'अ' काढला.

So, “they’re students”.

“It’s a cat”. “It’s a cat”.

"ती एक मांजर आहे". "ती एक मांजर आहे".

“You’re”.

"तू आहेस".

“You’re a singer”. “You’re a singer”.

"तू गायक आहेस". "तू गायक आहेस".

“You’re a friend”. “You’re a friend”.

"तू मित्र आहेस". "तू मित्र आहेस".

“We’re”.

"आम्ही आहोत".

“We’re sisters”. “We’re sisters”.

"आम्ही बहिणी आहोत". "आम्ही बहिणी आहोत".

“We’re brothers”. “We’re brothers”.

"आम्ही भाऊ आहोत". "आम्ही भाऊ आहोत".

“They’re”.

"ते आहेत".

“They’re people”. “They’re people”.

"ते लोक आहेत". "ते लोक आहेत".

“They’re cars”. “They’re cars”.

"त्या कार आहेत". "त्या कार आहेत".

Now, before we go, I wanted to share a little bit about myself using the lesson.

So, first, remember, “I’m a…”.

And that means someone who loves animals.

I love dogs and cats and other animals.

So, “I’m an animal lover”.
